A Reflection on Micah 6 Part 7

Church and fellowships cannot be more spiritual than the individuals and families that constitute them. God waitly desires a godly home front. These are words of restoration and instruction in righteousness from Family Tent Ministry. May ye be blessed as ye listen. [Speaker 1] One of the things that Daddy said was that a prophet was sent to Asa, and he thought the prophet was too small to correct him. And I look at that, that God can speak to anyone. God can correct us, God can send instruction to us using anybody. The ability to listen and to yield to correction is humility. And I also took that home that no matter what, once it is the word of God and it comes as a correction, I should not look down on any vessel God is using to correct me. And I also pray a prayer. When we were praying, Daddy said we should pray a prayer not to be a novice to the things of God, and to every time you are blessed, maybe you have a success and you are lifting up your heart to think that you are the one, your power have acquired this, that that person is a novice. And I prayed that prayer. I and my wife prayed that prayer, that God should deliver us from being a novice in the things of God. Praise the Lord. [Speaker 2] Hallelujah. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Yes, other brethren that have one or two comments to make? [Speaker 3] Hallelujah. There are a lot of things to mention, but this one is what I want to emphasize on because that was a question I had and I kept asking: what happened to this man's fellowship with God? I am talking about Asa. When you look at 2 Chronicles 16:7-10 and what transpired, the kind of walk he had with God before he got to this point. So, I was just asking what happened to this man's fellowship with God? And of course, we know that where the problem lies was in the place of fellowship. There was a shift. There was something was wrong. Something was wrong. God will always remain where He is. We are the ones that shift position. And that is a challenge to me that be careful of making sure nothing takes you out of the fellowship from His presence where you take direction and instruction to the minutest details of your life. Praise the Lord. And again, this one I use as prayer. I wrote it down even as prayer because we saw that this man of God, the king, despised the prophet in order to set him free. So, I put here, I said, "God, may I not despise, may I not be annoyed, may I not be arrogant, may I not fight the truth that will deliver me like Asa did." He fought it, he was annoyed by it, he despised it, he was full of himself. It brought him judgment and destruction. Praise the Lord. [Speaker 2] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We thank God for these things that are coming to us from the brethren. Praise the Lord. [Speaker 4] Two points. The first one is the fact that a prayerless man is an arrogant man who will not depend on God. And the second one is to beware of success. I have been reading the book of Deuteronomy. Sometimes success can make one to think "I can do it now. No need to consult God. After all, I am making it. I did it like this last week and it worked." And you go ahead and do it that way. It can make one to leave God aside. I remember Uncle Bayo gave an example of a man who was very sick, and they were carrying him around, carrying him from even outside Nigeria to seek medical care. And then a man now came to him. Then he said the Holy Spirit asked him to ask the man, "Have you ever prayed about this situation?" And the man paused and thought and said, "No, I have never because I have the money to pay for bills, hospital bills. I have just been and it is not even on my account, it is on the account of the federal government. So, I have been going from hospital to hospital." So, he never actually consulted God on that sickness, and he was suffering around. So, sometimes success can make people to forget God. And to me, it is a challenge to my heart because I am aspiring to be successful. And I am asking and crying to God that He will help my heart to still be loyal, loyal to Him no matter the height. I think that is one of the prayers I prayed last week, that no matter the height it takes me to, even if it is up to the beyond the sky, that my heart will still remain loyal to Him. Praise the Lord. [Speaker 2] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. May the Lord keep us going. May the Lord keep us focused. Honestly, every time I reflect on Asa, every time I have cause to reflect on the life of Asa, I just wonder, honestly, it is something that makes me to say, "Ah, this man, this man, how did it go with you like this?" But of course, the point is very, very clear. Height is not the antidote against fall. Caution is the antidote against fall. No matter how high you go, the higher you go does not prevent you from falling. It is caution at every level of achievement, caution at every level that keeps us going. Honestly for me, realizing that when people are arrogant, it is a display of ignorance. Arrogance is a display of ignorance. That is the truth. Arrogance is a display of ignorance. Men of understanding—humility is a display of understanding. It is a display of understanding that we continue to understand God, continue to understand God and move and walk with God in the name of Jesus Christ. There was one more biblical example we will need to look at. We were to go that direction last week, but we were not able to go. That is the direction of Nebuchadnezzar. Direction of Nebuchadnezzar looking at this same topic we have been considering for the past seven weeks now, a reflection, a reflection on Micah 6:1-8. That is what we have been reflecting on for the past seven weeks. And I trust the Lord that perhaps today we will come to a conclusion of the reflection, which will be eighth week of looking into this reflection. Now, I want us still looking at the last thing we were considering in that Micah is walking humbly before the Lord. Walking humbly. Three things the Lord requires of you: to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before the Lord. So, we want to look at this scripture in Jeremiah 27. We want to look at another biblical example trying to understand the matter of humility, trying to understand it, the matter of humility. Jeremiah 27, let us look at it from verse one. In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, "Thus says the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Make for yourself bonds and yokes and put them on your neck, and send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre, the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah. And command them to say to their masters, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel. Thus shall you say to your master: I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched hand, and have given it to whom it seems proper to Me. I have given it to whom it seems proper to Me. And now I have given all these lands into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant. And the beasts of the field I have also given to him to serve him. So, all nations shall serve him.'" Please note something: "All nations shall serve him. Not only him, his son and then his son's son, until the time of his land comes, and then many nations and great kings shall make him serve them." I don't know whether you are following this reading carefully. The person speaking was Jeremiah. Jeremiah was sending a message to different kings of different lands, including the king of Israel. And he was making them to see that see, heaven and earth was created by the Lord. The Lord is speaking, "I made heaven, I made the earth, I made everything, and I can choose to give this to anybody. And now listen, I have given everything to who? To Nebuchadnezzar. I have given everything to Nebuchadnezzar, and every kingdom shall serve not only men, even the beasts of the field I have given them to him. They will serve him, they will serve his son, they will serve his son's son, three generations. After that, nations will now defeat him. Then he too will now serve other nations." Now God now says something very clearly. He says, "Any nation that refuse to serve Nebuchadnezzar, what is going to happen? I am going to consume that nation by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar. Such that I am going to consume them with famine, with pestilence, with war, with sword. So, everybody that want to live, that want to enjoy life, must go and serve Nebuchadnezzar." We are looking at something very, very crucial. We are discussing Nebuchadnezzar the way we were looking at Sennacherib. Remember Sennacherib? You are seen a similar line. But for Nebuchadnezzar, we are seeing that there was a prophecy, is making it clear that anything that will happen to Nebuchadnezzar is nothing about Nebuchadnezzar. That nations will not be able to defeat him and his son and his son's son is not because Babylon's soldiers or army are so strong. No. God said, "I have given every nation to him." So, no matter how the battle want to go, no matter how the fight want to go, who is going to win? Nebuchadnezzar. Why? Because God said, "He is My servant, I want to use him to accomplish a purpose." Now, this was what the prophecy that have gone ahead to make matters clear about the man, the king, Nebuchadnezzar. Now, while all this was going on, let us look at more biblical reference. Let us go to Daniel, the Nebuchadnezzar himself. Let us go to Daniel. Now, when we came to Daniel, you will notice that God did something very deliberately. God did something very deliberately. If you look at the book of Daniel 2. Daniel 2. It says, "Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign." So, what are we seeing now? The beginning of his reign. I want you to note that. I want you—what I am trying to make you see is that the instruction of God to man not to walk with arrogance before the Lord is always made available. Because God resist the proud. God despises a proud man. So, you will notice that at the beginning of his reign, the Bible says when he was just two years on the reign, what did God do to him? He had a dream and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. Then the king gave the command to call the magician, the astrologer, the sorcerer, and the Chaldean to tell the king his dream. So, they came and stood before the king. And the king said to them, "I had a dream and my spirit is anxious to know the dream." Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, "O king, live forever! Tell your servant the dream and we will give you the interpretation." The king answered the Chaldeans, "My decision is firm. If you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces and your house shall be made—" Now, you know why I am laughing? Who had the dream? Nebuchadnezzar. You cannot remember the dream you dreamt. Now, you now call some people that they should tell you your dream, then they should also interpret the dream. But you know why I want to show you something about God in dealing with man in showing His sovereignty and supremacy. "However, if you tell the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts, reward, and great honor. Therefore, tell me the dream and its interpretation." They answered again and said, "Let the king tell his servant the dream and we shall give its interpretation." The king answered and said, "I know for certain that you would gain time because you see that my decision is firm. If you do not make known the dream to me, there is only one decree for you, for you have agreed to speak lying and corrupt word before me till the time has changed. Therefore, tell me the dream and I shall know that you can give me its interpretation." Now, you can see what is happening here. God deliberately made the king to forget the dream. Because if the king tells the dream, the king knew that even those magicians, they manipulate interpretations. I hope you are understanding it. He knows that they can manipulate interpretation. He now said, "No. If you can tell me the dream, then I will now be sure that you actually know the interpretation. Other than you want to just tell me one thing so that you will not die." I hope you are getting the picture. Now, so deliberately, the Lord kept the dream away from the king. Of course, we knew what happened. The Lord gave the dream to Daniel and the interpretation. Now, when you look at how it goes, I want to skip all those other verses now. Let us go to where Daniel was speaking. Verse 26. "The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, 'Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation?' Daniel answered in the presence of the king and said, 'The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.'" And oh, please before I read this place, there is something I want you to see in the word of those magicians. Before that 26. Please, let us see something that they said. There is something that I should not skip. Look at what they said to the king. Verse 10 and 11. I would like us to read that. The Chaldean answered the king. What did they tell him? Are you looking at your Bible? They said, "There is not a man on earth who can tell the king's matter. Therefore, no king, lord, or ruler has ever asked such thing of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean. It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh." But what did Jesus say in John 10? When they said "the gods"? What did Jesus say in John 10? He said, "Ye are gods. Ye are gods." He said, "If He called them gods that the word of God came to, then what do you say about me that God sanctified for this purpose?" What I am trying to make you see is that there are certain things that only the gods can do. So, what Daniel was doing was not what any man can do. Was what somebody can do that have a walk with God. That is what I am trying to make you see. That humility before the Lord gives us extraordinary capacities. That's what I am trying to make you see. Humility before the Lord gives us extraordinary capacities. It makes God to use us for certain things that you wonder that, eh, can God use a man for this? And it is something so serious and so critical with the Lord. So, let us go back to where Daniel was speaking. I want to call your attention to that place. Let us go to where Daniel was speaking now. Now, he says Daniel answered in presence of the king. "He is able to declare this to the king." Verse 28. "But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed about what will come after this." God uses for extraordinary things people who are humble before Him. Have you seen this man trying to make them see that it is not about his wisdom? I am showing you Daniel as we compare Daniel vis-a-vis Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was coming to say that it is not because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for our sake, who make known interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart. So Daniel only made the king to see that it is not because I have any extraordinary thing. Do you see if this thing is not interpreted, God know that we will die. So God just had mercy so that we will not die. That's why He gave me the interpretation. I wonder how some will want to first give induction about their life before they give the message that they were sent. Are you understanding me at all? So Daniel made something clear. This matter of that looks supernatural, that looks extraordinary, is on account of the mercy of God. I am showing you Daniel vis-a-vis who? Nebuchadnezzar. And God was trying to make Nebuchadnezzar to learn some things. Don't forget, it is the second year of his reign that God gave him this vision. He was trying to think how will the future be, what will the future look like. And God felt, "Let me tell you how it is, let me make you know have a correct understanding so that God don't just humiliate men." Mark my word. God don't just humiliate men. When we don't humble ourselves, God will humiliate us. That's why Jesus said, "He that humble himself shall be exalted, but he that exalt himself shall be brought low." That brought low is humiliation. That's why the Bible says like we said earlier, "Pride go before a fall, then what? A haughty spirit before destruction." Now, Daniel said the matter is just for our sake and that the king will know the thought of his heart. He said, "You, O king, were watching and behold." So, he told him the dream. We are familiar with all of these stories. We know what Daniel did, the image now, the gold, the whatever. So, let us go to the interpretation. Verse 36. "This is the dream. Now we will tell you the interpretation of it before the king. You, O king—" Please look at what Daniel said. "You, O king, are a king of kings, for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory. And wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven, He has given them into your hand and has made you ruler over them all. You are the head of gold." What did God tell this man at the beginning of his reign? It was just two years into his reign. What did God tell him? Is God not making him to see that the matter of the kingdom in your hand is a matter of what was given, not what was achieved? At the very beginning, God made this man to see that this thing that is in your hand—do you know what it means to be able to rule over the beast of the field? I don't know how this man was able—it is not only he conquer men, he conquer beasts. Nebuchadnezzar had an unusual supremacy that kings after him did not get again. That's why you notice after the gold, what was the next thing? Silver. What was the next thing? Bronze. What was the next thing? Iron. What was the next thing? Iron and clay. So, you notice that the glory of the material was decreasing after Nebuchadnezzar. The glory of the material, although the strength—iron is stronger than gold, iron is stronger than bronze—strength was increasing, glory was reducing. You get the point I am making. Now, but you notice that at the beginning of the reign of this man, God came to him to make him know that look, while it is true that horses prepare for battle, it is also true that safety is of the Lord. While it is true that we must not be lazy—He said, "Go to the ant, you sluggard, go and learn. They gather in the summer, for how long will you sleep? A little sleep, a little folding of hand, then your poverty will come." The same thing when you go to Thessalonians, what did Paul tell the Thessalonians? "He that does not work should not eat." As much as it is true that the soldiers will go to war and do like this and do like this and they will get victory, it is also true that what is in his hand was not what was primarily achieved, it was secondarily achieved, it was primarily given. And the Lord made this clear when? At the beginning of his reign. But you notice as we go on in that scripture, look at what the Bible says in chapter four. This was the chapter where Nebuchadnezzar was turned to an animal. And what I want to make you see in this place is about the magicians again. Chapter four from verse five. Nebuchadnezzar was speaking. "I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thought of my bed and the vision of my head troubled me. Therefore, I issued a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. Then the magicians, the astrologers, and the Chaldeans and the soothsayers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me the interpretation." Are you seeing something again? What was their request in chapter two? "Tell us the dream, we will give you the interpretation." Now this time, what did God do? God made the dream to be available, but the interpretation, what happened? They could not—you know what I am trying to make you see? That whatever you see of faith in darkness is as God allows. At one point, it is because we don't have the dream, that's why we don't have the interpretation. Now they have the dream, let them give interpretation, they still could not. Why? Don't forget what Daniel said in that chapter two when he got that revelation. What did he say? He says for it is God that gives wisdom to the wise and what? "He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who understand." So when you understand and you begin to have depth of revelations, you begin to understand the mysteries of God and your heart is now set on it, you can see the foolishness. Because even the understanding of men of knowledge, somebody gave it to them. That's what I am calling your attention to. So the interpretation of the dream when they seemed to interpret dream, those magicians, it was because God allowed. And you see when God did not want them to interpret a dream, you see that they could not interpret. You find the same thing with Elijah and the prophet of Baal. The prophet of Baal, if they have not been calling down fire before them, they won't take that challenge. Before them, they have been calling down fire. That's why when he said, "Okay, the one that can answer by fire, let him be God." If they have been calling Baal and he had not been giving them fire, they would have said, "No, we don't want that challenge. Give us another one." But on that day, God told Baal, "Sorry, no answering today, no fire, just be sleeping." And they did everything, they were convinced that the fire will come. They began to cut themselves so that Baal can see. That's what they used to convince Baal to work before, but Baal could not work because God don't want it to work. You find the same thing between the Ark of God and Dagon. What I am trying to make you see, it is the glory of God for men to know that it is God that rules. God wants men to know. And when you don't know it, God is not pleased that you don't know it because He wants you to know. Now, how do I know that? That God wants us to know? Please let's go back to that chapter four. I just wanted us to see something in chapter three. Let's go back to that chapter four. So the magicians they were called again, of course they could not interpret. "But at last Daniel came before me, according to the name of my god, his name was Belteshazzar." Explain these things. I am skipping some verses just for us to go. These are the visions of my head while on my bed. I was looking and behold a tree in the midst of the earth and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong. Its height reached to the heaven. He was talking about—I believe we are familiar with that. "Let his heart be changed, let him be given the heart of a beast." You know one thing that comes to me from this verse is that God can make man beast and God can make beast man. When man refuse to acknowledge God, God will make you to begin to think like animals. God will give you the heart of a beast, God will take understanding away from you. Look at the way we are cleaning ourselves. Look at the way some will put their breast outside, they will say it is fashion. Is it not goat that have its breast outside, not covered? God can give you—if you don't acknowledge God, God can make you anything. He can just make you—you know what God did? He just wanted to rubbish Nebuchadnezzar. Now, verse 17. "This decision is by the decree of the watchers, and the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whom He will, and set over it the lowest of men." What is one thing that delights God from that verse that you can see? You will notice that God want the living to acknowledge that it is God that rules. The reason for that decree is not just a matter for Nebuchadnezzar. They want to score a point round the kingdom. So when God wanted to deal with Nebuchadnezzar, the decree by the watchers, the word of the holy ones, for Nebuchadnezzar is a matter for the living. They want us to understand from the way God handled Nebuchadnezzar. God belongs to the Lord. So God can impression upon the earth in dealing with ruler that is placed over the earth. And the impression God want to impress upon everybody who is alive is that I want you to know that it is the most high that rules. If you don't know, if that ignorance is in you, it is a pity. If that ignorance is in you, your life is not correct. If your life must be correct, there must be an understanding inside you that no man can receive anything except it is given to him. No matter how much you labor, no matter how much you see success, no matter how much you lose like you just get there, there will be road. Once you just do things, ah, they say, "Ah, you are extraordinary." Don't let men fool you, there is nothing about you. There is a knowledge that God want the living to have. The most high God who rules want every man to have that understanding, that it is the most high that rules. And because Nebuchadnezzar did not realize that, he did not—mind you, did not God make Nebuchadnezzar to know that at the beginning of the kingdom? By that dream he gave him and interpretation that he gave him, that you, you are the head of gold. The God of heaven have given you the king strength and glory. He has first told him. There was an understanding. He want him to know. But his success could not make him to know. And that is the problem of most men today. When it looks like things are working in your hand, you begin to look at other men that "What is wrong with you?" There is one thing begins to make you to begin to carry one, one, you begin to feel there is something peculiar about you. Look, the truth about you is that it is not about you. You are not at the center of the matter. Until there is a center, there must be a circle before you can talk about the circumference. That is the reality that God want the living to know. And unfortunately, Nebuchadnezzar was told this, but he did not live accordingly. And then what happened? Daniel interpreted the dream and everything and then I want to take you to something again. Look at what Daniel said again. verse 27. "Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you. Break your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there might be a lengthening of your prosperity." Do you know what he's trying to make him understand? He said, "Break your sin by being righteous. Your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor." It tells you something: that when you notice that a man is not merciful, he does not know God. He is an arrogant man. Mercy is a product of an understanding that who you are is a product of mercy. Only when you really realize that you received mercy, you will be able to live a life of being merciful. Until you truly realize that you received mercy—mercy is simply mercy. There is no other definition for mercy. Mercy is simply mercy. And when God have mercy, God have mercy. I will have mercy on who I will have mercy. So God just had mercy on Nebuchadnezzar, and gave it to Nebuchadnezzar. It has nothing to do with who he was or what he is. It has nothing to do with his righteousness. Is Nebuchadnezzar a good man? I want ask you. Ordinarily, when you look at Esau and Jacob, who do you think that the covenant should continue with? If you are to just look at it. Your brother came to you to ask for food, food that is your parents' food. But because you and your mother, you have been—you know the mother was working with Jacob, understanding that she had. And all that you are seeing in Jacob was a product of the mother. Jacob was a product of the mother. "Give me food." He said, "Okay, bring five naira." Is that person normal? If you want to follow rationality and begin to follow logic, ordinarily, who will you want to draw the something to? Is it not to Esau than to Jacob? But who did God have mercy on? I have meant to explain mercy. Mercy is simply mercy. There is nothing about mercy. Mercy is not—and that is what you must understand about your life. That you are able to do certain things and do them well than some people, that you are able to thrive well in certain things, and it looks like, "Ah, I am standing as a Christian. What is wrong with those ones? They are falling." You better be careful with your utterances. We must never ever forget that it is first mercy. I am talking about what humility is. Humility is for the living to know that the primary thing about their life is first mercy. That the most high God rules. That's humility. Nothing other than that is arrogance. And because Nebuchadnezzar did not realize that, look at what Nebuchadnezzar said eventually. Look at what he said in Daniel 4 from verse 31. While the word was still in his mouth, a voice fell from heaven: "King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you. They shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beast. They shall make you eat grass like oxen, and seven times—that is seven years—shall pass over you, until you know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men and give it to whomever He chooses." I want you to mark that word. Until you know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men and give it to whomever He chooses. That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from among men and ate grass like oxen. His body was wet with dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagle's feathers. His nails were like bird's claws. And at the end of the time, Nebuchadnezzar lifted up his eyes to heaven, "My understanding returned to me, and I blessed the most high and praised and honored Him who lives forever. For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing. He does according to His will in the armies of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand. No one can say to Him, 'What have you done?'" He said, "At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and my splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles sought me, and I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the king of heaven, all of whose works are truth and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down." He knows how to turn a proud person into a humble man or woman. He knows how to humble those who walk in pride. What was the point that Nebuchadnezzar realized? He thought the kingdom was about him. But for seven years, he was an animal and nobody took the kingdom. Nobody could take it. Nobody took that kingdom. And he saw that he was a mad person eating in the dew. That kingdom stayed. After seven years again, he was brought back to make him see that it is not you who sustain the kingdom. It's not your might, it's not your wisdom. Praise the Lord. Let us pray. Let me invite Sister Comfort to close the meeting for us today. [Speaker 5] Father, we are grateful that you have open our eyes to see that there is need for us to be humble before you. You are a fearful God. Father, we are asking of you, O God, that your grace be made available to us to humble ourselves before you in Jesus' name. We know You are going to make us great in our different corners and different places. Oh Lord, we pray that the higher we go, the more humbler we become in the name of Jesus. We plead with you, O God, that the deceitfulness of riches will not capture our heart in the name of Jesus. The perils of success will not catch up with us in the name of Jesus. But as you hold our hands, O God, day by day and walk with us, cause our heart, O God, to bow before you in the name of Jesus. Let our eyes be opened to know that we are of nothing in ourselves, that our sufficiency is in You. Day by day help us to see this in the name of Jesus. Help us to understand and to know that a man can never receive anything that is not given. Help us to know that whatever we have, O God, it is because You choose to give it to us.
