Abounding in Goodness (5)

Your counsel of old, they are faithfulness and they are truth. We thank You, our God. We bless You for bringing us again into another Monday. We thank You for the opportunity to fellowship again with one another and to fellowship with the Scriptures in the Scriptures and with the Holy Spirit. We thank You for the opportunity. We say our Father be exalted in Jesus' name. Amen. Lord, as we fellowship together in Your word, Lord we pray: let Your Spirit work within us. Amen. Let Your Spirit work among us. Amen. Let there be seed for the sower. Amen. Let there be bread for the eaters. Amen. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh Lord, our eyes are on You. Let nothing prevail against Your purposes for our lives. Amen. Thank You, everlasting Father. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Praise the Lord. We have been looking at the topic "Abounding in His Goodness." Last week we started with episode four. Today we are concluding "Abounding with His Goodness." And as we conclude today, I just want to remind us of some of the things that we have been able to realize from the word of God. We have been able to realize from the scripture that you must understand this about life: life is a very fertile ground. Whatever you sow into it is what you will reap. Life is a very fertile ground. You can never reap what you did not sow. And what you sow into life are the actions you take. What the actions you take, they are the seeds that you have sown in. And we noted that you must be careful. Be careful, be very, very careful about how you are sowing seeds. Because the Bible says, "Do not be deceived." Our text was actually Galatians 6. It says, "Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that is what he will reap." We noted that therefore, when it comes to life, God is the actual rewarder of every man. And because God is the actual rewarder of every man, it becomes very, very important for us to note that God is the God of knowledge. By Him all actions are weighed. Whatever action you are taking, people may be looking at you as very, very good, but if God doesn't see you as good, you can never reap good. People may be seeing you as very, very bad, but if for God your actions, they are not bad, they are good, you are going to reap good. God is the one who actually rewards our seed. We have noted therefore that we need to be very, very careful. We need to be deliberate. We need to be intentional about our actions because our actions they are seed on a fertile ground. And when they will come back, it will be good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. So be careful what you are sowing. Then we noted that you also need to be very, very careful: don't say because somebody did evil to you, therefore I will repay the person with evil. The reality is that whatever makes you to sow evil, you will reap it. Whether because somebody did evil, that is why you went to also do evil, you will reap it. We said we must be very careful. Even when people even do evil against us, let's be careful to do good. Let's be careful. There is no justification for doing evil. There is... we have said this before and I'm just emphasizing it again. There is no justification. "I did it because she did it." "I did it because he did it." "The reason why I did that was because of what she did or what they..." There's nothing like that. Whatever makes you to sow evil will make you to reap evil. We now said that is why, generally, it is being said today and I quoted an adage in Yoruba: "Ma pe laye, oju mi o ni ribi, ohun kan nu e." What that literally means is that I will live long on earth and I will not see evil. You have to make a choice of that. The reason why they came up with this adage is because they noticed that people can hardly see good. And the reason is because people can hardly see good all the days of their lives. And the reason is this: people hardly do good consistently. But we saw in the word of God a contradiction. God says, "Come, I will teach you the fear of God. Who among you love life? Who wants to have many days and you want to see good in all?" He said, "This is what you should do." So we saw that with God, it is possible to live long and see good. It's possible. However, God gave the recipe: "Keep your tongue from speaking evil. Keep your tongue from telling lies. Do good. Run away from evil. Seek peace, pursue it." We now saw that the reason why we could be harmed is when we do... Bible says, "Who can harm you if you are a follower of what is good?" So because people don't follow what is good consistently, that is why somehow they also reap evil. They may not be evil people, but they did evil because somebody did evil to them. Eventually they will now reap the evil that they sowed. Because whatever makes you to do the evil, you must reap it. That is why over time you will see people hardly reaping good all through. But I encourage us that let us abound in goodness. And we saw that goodness is the nature of God. What we did last week was to look at the scripture where the Bible says, "He who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption. And he who sows to the spirit of the spirit reap eternal life." We looked at what does it mean to sow to the flesh and what does it mean to sow to the spirit. And we saw that the flesh actually talked about our selfishness, our self-centeredness. Anybody who lives for himself is an evil person. Anybody who lives for his own interest is an evil person. For us to be able to do good, what we said is that you can learn it from a level of selfishness: do to people what you don't pray they do to you. If you are somebody who do to people what you don't pray people do to you, then you are an evil person. You are doing evil. Anytime you do to anybody what you don't pray anybody should do to you, then you are doing evil. Then we now said however we need to grow beyond loving our neighbor as ourselves. We must grow to loving our neighbor as Christ has loved us. And we closed the curtain last week. And today, I want to conclude on this matter of abounding in goodness. I want to conclude on it, abounding in goodness. And we will go back again to Galatians, we'll take one or two things in Psalms, and then we'll be closing the topic "Abounding with Goodness" today. Let's look at the scripture as we turn to Galatians. Galatians chapter 5, talking about the works of the flesh and the work and the work of the spirit. Galatians 5. Now I read from where we left the matter last week. "But I say to you, walk in the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the desires of the spirit, and the desires of the spirit are against the flesh. For these are opposed to each other to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh they are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity..." There is nothing like "enmity." Enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalry, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, orgies and things like these. "I warn you as I warned you before that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Like I noted last week, I said what was listed here is not everything. Did you notice it? But one thing that the Bible makes us to understand is that anybody who manifest the works of the flesh will never inherit the kingdom of God. He said those who do such things, anybody who is walking in the flesh, who is manifesting the works of the flesh, not only what is listed here, anything that has to do with the flesh, that person cannot inherit the kingdom of God. "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passion and desires. If we live by the spirit, let us also keep in step with the spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another and envying one another." And from this point, we want to move today to where we will round up abounding in His goodness. I want to conclude on it: abounding in goodness. And one thing that is clear from this scripture, I want you to look, look. We want to compare two things. Look at our text: Galatians 6:7. I made mention of this thing last week, but I want to emphasize the other aspect today. He says, "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh..." I emphasized last week that the matter of the things of the flesh has to do with his own, his interest, "his own flesh." "Who from the flesh reap corruption." Now look at the other side now. "But the one who sows to the..." What do you see there? What do you see there? "Who sows for the one who sows to the spirit." Did you notice that that "spirit" is capital letter? Did you notice that? Is it so in your Bible? Is it so in every Bible? Anyone contradicting that statement? Now, you know what I'm trying to make you see? Please listen, brethren. If truly you want to abound in goodness, if truly you want to abound in goodness, you need to understand that it is to the extent to which you can be spirit-controlled. Are you getting that? It is the extent to which your actions, the things you do, they are as a result of the Holy Spirit. He says "he who sows to the Spirit," that is, the person who listen to the dictates of the Spirit. The person who listen to the nudging... nudging, come back, don't do it. It can be a still voice. It can be a nod. It can be a quiet walk. It can be a revelation. It can be an inspiration. The person who sows to the Spirit, that is, the person who listen to the Spirit's nudging, leading, pushing. The person who go where the Spirit says, who follows where the Spirit leads, is the person that can abound in goodness. You know what I'm trying to make you see? That ability to abound in goodness is not actually something of human effort. It is actually the fruit of the Holy Spirit-controlled life. He says, "The works of the flesh are..." he mentioned them. Now say, "The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, self-control, goodness, long-suffering." Do you see that goodness is a fruit of the Spirit? So let's back up to chapter 5. Please look at chapter 5. Are you in chapter 5? Look at the fruit of the spirit. Look at the fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5:22: "But the fruit of the spirit is" what? And like I noted last week, note it is not "the fruits of the spirit are." It is just one spirit bearing fruit. One spirit bearing fruit. Now the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, peace, patience, kindness, goodness. The fruit of the spirit is. Now, you notice that he did not say "are." But what is... this is what he's trying to say. Look at Philippians. Philippians 2, so that we can understand what this is trying to say. Philippians 2. Now, I read from verse 12. "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only in my presence, but much more in my absence, work out..." please note something. "What are you to do? Work out your own salvation." Please note something. Can I work out your salvation? Work out your own. Your own. Your own salvation, you need to work it out. You need to work it out. Look at what he's saying now. "Work out your own salvation with" what? "Fear and trembling." Verse 13, what follows? What follows in verse 13? Does your Bible say "for"? Your own says "for". Now brothers, sir, does your own saying "for"? Is there any version without "for"? That uses some other conjunction? [Background voice: Because]. That's still a conjunction, "because". Because. My brother now make it very clear. What I'm trying to make you see is that verse 12 is rested on verse 13. The reason why you are to work out your own salvation, please note, is because of what? "For God is at work in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure." Is that not a contradiction? When you look at it, it's not looking like a contradiction. He says, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling because God is working in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure." What is the implication of that working that I say you should work? What exactly does it mean? You see, I'm trying to talk about abounding in goodness. Because people normally think that salvation... Oh, hallelujah. You see salvation means God saved us. Salvation is not we saving ourselves. If it is we saving ourselves, can I announce to you? There is no good news. Nobody will be saved. It's a bad news. What makes it the good news? I'm talking about abounding in goodness. Is that it is God that came to save us. And that is why sometimes when I look at it in the Yoruba translation, I tend to say it the other way. When people say "Asin Olorun," I will say "No, Olorun lo n sin wa." You know, that actually what that means literally... deceptively what they mean by "asin Olorun" is that we are worshipping God. But I'm taking the literal meaning. Just like you say "mo n sin adiye." You are not worshipping adiye. What do you mean? You have fowls that you are taking care of. Do you get it? You are the one that put water at their disposal, food at their disposal. You be the one to go to the bush to go and bring food and give to it. So you are the one serving it. You get the point I'm making? Now you see the point I'm trying to draw out is this abounding in goodness. The Bible says, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling because somebody is working in you, both to will and to do of his good pleasure." So if somebody's already working in me, both to will and to do of a good pleasure, what am I then working? And that is why you need to understand the matter of fear and trembling. When he said, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling," what he's saying there is that don't try to work out your salvation with human effort. Don't try to work out your salvation with willpower. Don't try to work out your salvation with human ability. I'm trying to give you the literal meaning of that fear and trembling. Don't try to work out that salvation with your own understanding. Now let me now make you see that there's no contradiction in that statement. This is what it means literally: work out your salvation, not with human effort because it is God that is working in you both to will and to do. That's what that scripture is saying. Be careful not to work out your salvation with your understanding because it is God that is at work in you. If you try to work it, number one, you will quench the Spirit. Number two, you will grieve the Spirit. Bible says, "Do not quench the spirit. Do not grieve the spirit." So he said, "Be careful, be careful, be careful, be careful." That is what "fear and trembling" means. Because we are always quick, we are always quick, and that is why many times I discover that is the source of this... you see, if you notice that you have elements of arrogance in your life, then it's a sign that you don't understand salvation. You see, what salvation takes away from man is arrogance. When you have this spirit of "I'm holier than thou," "I'm better than them," it is a sign that you don't understand salvation. Truly, if you really understand that we are always quick... you know why they fear and trembling? We are always quick as human beings to rely on our strength. We always quick as human beings... that's why you notice Paul, Paul speaking to them in Galatians 3. What did he tell them? As you have received Jesus, so do what? Walk in Him. How did you receive Jesus? You heard the gospel. You believed. And when you believed, "Oh Lord, I believe." When you say you believe, what happens to you? You became saved. You became saved. The Holy Spirit work in you. Am I following something? He says as you have received Jesus, so continue to walk. Now you know what happens to us? After we have received Him, we stop continuing in faith. With the Holy Ghost keep working that salvation, but we stop Him from working it; we now want to start working it. That is why he said, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." That is, work out your salvation not leaning on your understanding. Work out your salvation not resting on human power. Work out your salvation, understanding that before God nobody can be glorified. If you go and read that thing in 1 Corinthians, it says so that nobody can glory before God. He said even Abraham cannot boast before God because he bought the righteousness when he was a Gentile. So that it will not be by works, just by faith. He just believed and it was counted to him for righteousness. The same way, when you believe, it is counted for holiness. When you believe, it's counted for sanctification. When you believe, it's counted for wisdom. When you believe, it's counted for power. It is everything. I'm talking about abounding in His goodness. Because if God so will, I'm actually creating the background for our next series of topics... experiencing God. How to experience God. The average believer do not know how to experience God. They got saved, but at a point they quench the Spirit and started saving themselves. And so the Christian life is full of struggles. They struggle and struggle and struggle. They struggle to conquer anger. They struggle to conquer this. They struggle to conquer that. And when they have been able to... since look at it, they have conquered one. You know what they do? "I'm not like that person. I am better." Because they feel that their power have saved them. That is the source of their arrogance. But when they know that they did nothing... can Peter boast by himself that he was walking on water? Can Peter say that Peter, "I began to walk on water and I just did like this and water just stayed under my feet." Can Peter say that? You see, the Bible is saying that goodness is actually a fruit of the spirit. That's actually where I'm going. To abound in goodness is not first a willpower thing. It is actually something that happens as we rest on the Lord and the Lord carries us. "Those that wait upon the Lord, they will renew their strength. They will mount on wing as eagle." You know the eagles don't fly. Eagles don't fly to the highest heights. Are you aware? It is the eagle that can go the highest heights. The only bird again that goes faster than the eagle is the falcon. But it is only the eagle that can look at the sun. So when the falcon pursues the eagle, the eagle will face the sun. The falcon will go blind. It will not be able to follow the eagle again. But what make the eagle to that highest height that all other birds cannot go to is not flipping the wing. It is mounting on wind. It will mount. "Those that wait upon the Lord, they will renew their strength. They will mount on wind." You will be going high, you will be thinking, "Aha, he brother did this... God lo n gbe." It's nothing in me. That's why there is nothing like "mighty men of God." They are men of mighty God. The mightiness you see in them is God. There's no man that is mighty. It's because they mount on winds. Then the wind carries them, carries them. And you see when they mount on this wind, that is why the more this wind carries them, the more humility you see in them. Because they had a clear understanding that it is not that I can fly. Oh, hallelujah! Hallelujah! The truth is that it is God who carries us. It is God who came to save us. And I'm just praying that you have this understanding about abounding in goodness. It is naturally impossible. I mean naturally impossible for people to be spurning you like this and you are dying and what you are praying is that, "God, don't... don't lay it to their charge. Don't lay it to their charge." What will naturally come out of you naturally is that, "God, remember these people." You see, this thing that will normally come out of you is not about you. And that is why the psalmist could say... because we are in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. It is difficult to shine. You won't be able to abound in goodness. The generation is tough. And when I say crooked, please don't be thinking of people outside the church. Be thinking, be understanding that the kingdom of God is like a net that a man throws into the sea and it catches all kind of fish. All kind of fish. That at the end they will sort the good one into a vessel; they will throw the bad ones away. So where are the bad ones? They are also inside the kingdom. You'll be surprised that it's that... that person you call your Bible study secretary. That one you call, "Ah, it's my Christian brother." That will just be... in your back. I will show, I will show them. Before you know, you have lost... you have lost your conformity. You have lost... you will run and be weary. You will walk, you will faint. It's not what you can face alone. You cannot. You cannot. How do I come to this understanding? I came to see that my Master, He got to a point when He came to the point of salvation that He could not go forward except He was helped. Haven't you read that thing in the scripture? The Bible says angels appeared to Him and they were strengthening Him. If you are thinking it's by faith alone and not by being strengthened, you cannot be spotless in this crooked and perverse generation. The world is wicked. The selfishness in man... and please don't forget, that world you are looking at outside there, that humanity that made them like that, a remnant of it is in your brother, is in your wife, is in your husband. So even if you are not careful, even in the house you will not be able to shine as light. If you don't slap her today, you will conquer tomorrow. If you don't curse him today, you will fight him next tomorrow. But the point I'm trying to bring out is this. You note the scripture says something for us who are believers. What did it say? "Consider one another to provoke to love and to good works." Telling you that if you are not deliberate about what you do to your brother, you will provoke them to bad works. If you are not intentional about what you are doing, that is why when I was beginning this message, I said those who understand the law of sowing and reaping, they are men who are intentional. They are men who are deliberate about their action. They are intentional about what they are doing. They want to sow seed. And they want to sow seed of goodness, knowing that there is a God. "He who sows to the flesh reap corruption." There is a God. There is a God who rewards. There is a God. He's the one with the auto... who is the controller of life. And that is why the psalmist could say in Psalm 37... the psalmist could say... Look at what the psalmist said. That's why the psalmist could tell us that brethren, be on your guard. I'll just read through. You can go home and meditate on the scripture. I'll just be reading through using the New King James Bible. "Do not fret because of evildoers." We are in the midst of a crooked and perverse world. What did the Bible tell you? What did the Bible tell you to do? "Do not fret." Don't become disturbed, troubled, perplexed, this, that, because of evildoers. "Nor be envious of workers of iniquity." Don't want to be like them. Don't envy them. Don't say, "Me too I'll do it for them, it won't go." Don't compete with them. Don't try to give them evil for evil. But when your enemy is hungry, give him to eat. When he's thirsty, give him to drink. Don't envy them. There is a God who make sure the person who sows to the flesh will reap corruption. Except if God ceases to be God. There is a God. There is a God who rewards. There is a God. He's the one with the auto... who is the controller of life. And that is why the psalmist could say "for they shall soon be cut down like the grass. They will wither as green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good." "Trust in the Lord." Are you seeing it? Don't trust in yourself. You will fail yakata. It is God that works in you. "Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in who? In the Lord. And He shall give you the desires of your heart." Just be telling God what you desire. Be telling God where you want to go. Be telling God what you want to become. Your enemies will discover that the more they persecute you, the more they sit on you, the more they do all their plans, like Pharaoh did everything with the Israelites, he said the more he did it, the more they multiplied. Hallelujah! The more they multiply. He used this one, he used that one, he tried this one, he tried this one, he tried that one, he did everything, he went this way, he tried it this way. At a point he said, "Aha, look, I'm making a decree now. Kill every birth child." It was him that fed the person that would destroy his kingdom. I'm talking about this God. And where did Moses grow? Was it not in Pharaoh's palace? Which allowance was he feeding on? On Pharaoh. Who was even paying the mother? Pharaoh's daughter. When he said, "No! No more manipulative influence of the wicked. No! Domineering influence of the wicked." The God who answered him... there could be manipulative, they could be domineering, but I am telling you... "Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Just be telling God what you want and where you want to go. He says, "Commit your ways to the Lord. Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass." Because you know what he said? Verse 6: "He shall bring forth your righteousness as what?" Aha! Are you seeing the matter of light again? Are you seeing the matter of light again? May we be light. Can you talk to the Lord one minute that I may be light? He say you are the light of the world. That I may be light. Lord, that I truly may be light. Lord, that I may be light. Light! Light! That I may be light. Light! Light! That I may be light. We are the light of this world. That I may live with eternity in view. That I may live understanding that there is a God. My hope can never be cut off. My expectation can never fail. Without faith it is impossible to please God. A double-minded man can never receive anything from God. To ba ti se iye meji, you will not receive it. But stand in faith. Except He ceases to be God. Oh! In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Let's finish the reading, brethren. He said He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your... your justice as what? At the noon day. Your justice will shine like the sun. Your justice as the noon day. What did he say again in verse 7? "Rest in the Lord." And do what? "Wait patiently for Him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way. Because of the man who brings what? Wicked schemes to pass. Don't fret. Relax." But you are not just relaxing. You are not a fool. You are resting. When I mount on the Lord, I will mount on wind as eagle. Oh! I did say this and I will keep telling people: it is not a fool who give away what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. You cannot keep your life, but you cannot lose God. It is not a fool who gives away what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. You can't lose God. But if you try to save this life, you'll lose it. You can't keep your life. The rest in the Lord, wait patiently for him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way. Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. What did he tell you in verse 8? Look at your Bible. What did he tell you in verse 8? "Cease from what? Cease from anger and do what? Forsake wrath. Do not fret." What will happen if you do so? "It will only cause harm." Ara e lo ko ma se leso. You will wound yourself mentally. You will wound yourself spiritually. You will wound yourself eternally. You will no more be light. You will no more please God. You too will also reap evil. It will only bring harm. It will only bring harm. Verse 9, what will happen? "For evildoers shall be cut off. But those who wait on the Lord," what will happen to them? "They shall inherit the earth." "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Brethren, I just came to bring to you as we close the meeting "Abounding in Goodness" this evening, that it is by the power of the Spirit. Work it out, not by your understanding. Work it out, not by willpower. Work it out, not by resolution, not by resolve, but work it out, understanding, being confident that He who began the good work in me is able to finish it. Work it out, understanding, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of my faith. Work it out, understanding that men ought always to pray and not to faint. Understanding that we must pray without ceasing. Understanding that we must rest on the Lord. That is the fear, that is the trembling. When we do that, for God will work in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Let us pray this evening as we close the meeting. Abounding in goodness is not a willpower thing. It is by the Holy Spirit. Talk to the Lord this evening as we close the meeting. Talk to the Lord. Lord, that I may abound in goodness. Lord, that I may abound in goodness. Lord, that I may abound. That I may abound. That I may abound. That I may abound. That I may abound. That I may abound. That I may abound in goodness. That I may abound in goodness. That I may abound in goodness. That I may abound in goodness. "When I wait upon the Lord, I will renew my strength. I will mount on wing as eagle. I will run and not be weary. I will walk and not faint. Teach me, Lord. Teach me, Lord, to wait. When I wait upon the Lord, I will renew my strength. I will mount on wing as eagle. I will run and not be weary. I will walk and not faint. Teach me, Lord. Teach me, Lord, to wait. Oh, teach me, Lord. Teach me, Lord. Teach me, Lord. Teach me, Lord, to wait." That is the secret of the matter. That is the secret of abounding in goodness. That is the secret. Because if God so will, I'm actually creating the background for our next series of topics... experiencing God. How to experience God. You see, the Bible is saying that goodness is actually a fruit of the spirit. That's actually where I'm going. To abound in goodness is not first a willpower thing. It is actually something that happens as we rest on the Lord and the Lord carries us. "Those that wait upon the Lord, they will renew their strength. They will mount on wing as eagle." You know the eagles don't fly. Eagles don't fly to the highest heights. Are you aware? It is the eagle that can go the highest heights. The only bird again that goes faster than the eagle is the falcon. But it is only the eagle that can look at the sun. So when the falcon pursues the eagle, the eagle will face the sun. The falcon will go blind. It will not be able to follow the eagle again. But what make the eagle to that highest height that all other birds cannot go to is not flipping the wing. It is mounting on wind. It will mount. "Those that wait upon the Lord, they will renew their strength. They will mount on wind." You will be going high, you will be thinking, "Aha, he brother did this... God lo n gbe." It's nothing in me. That's why there is nothing like "mighty men of God." They are men of mighty God. The mightiness you see in them is God. There's no man that is mighty. It's because they mount on winds. Then the wind carries them, carries them. And you see when they mount on this wind, that is why the more this wind carries them, the more humility you see in them. Because they had a clear understanding that it is not that I can fly. Oh, hallelujah! Hallelujah! The truth is that it is God who carries us. It is God who came to save us. And I'm just praying that you have this understanding about abounding in goodness. It is naturally impossible. I mean naturally impossible for people to be spurning you like this and you are dying and what you are praying is that, "God, don't... don't lay it to their charge. Don't lay it to their charge." What will naturally come out of you naturally is that, "God, remember these people." You see, this thing that will normally come out of you is not about you. We ask, O Lord, we can only abound in goodness by the will and the grace of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, You are ever present. You are ever ready. Help us to follow. Help us to rest on Your strength. Help us, O Lord, to depend on You. Help us to know that we have all it takes to work it out because the working You want us to work, it is just in following You.
