[Choral Singing]
[Speaker 1]
Churches and fellowships cannot be more spiritual than the individuals and families that constitute them. God greatly desires a godly home. These are words of restoration and instruction in righteousness from Family Tent Ministry. May you be blessed as you listen.
[Speaker 2]
Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Our Father, our eyes are on You. We thank You for how You have been helping us since we started. We bless Your name for Your mercies and for Your love. We thank You because You are the one that set us into families. We thank You for our marriages. We thank You, Lord, for the homes that You have given unto us. And Lord, we thank You for every family that is present here. In some situations, we have the husbands and the wife, and some other situations, we have only the husband or only the wife around. Lord, we are praying that as we go through Your word together, we are asking, we are praying that Lord, Lord, let Your blessing rest upon each household that is present in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Eternal Father. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Our focus this afternoon is Kingdom Life Marriage. Kingdom Life Marriage. Kingdom Life Marriage. A marriage that we can link, that we can say is in connection with the kingdom. And what I want to do this afternoon is to take us through each of the words in our topic. The first one is the matter of the kingdom. So, I have broken the message into three parts. The first part is understanding the matter of the kingdom. The second part is understanding the matter of life. Kingdom Life Marriage. The first one, understanding the matter of the kingdom. That is, what do you understand about kingdom? Then the other one is understanding the matter of life. Life. And then the last one is understanding the matter of your marriage. Three parts: the matter of the kingdom, the matter of life, the matter of your marriage. Three parts. I want to look at them one after the other.
The matter of the kingdom. Now, the first thing here is that every human is operating from within a kingdom. Every human being, they operate from within a kingdom. There is nobody that stands alone. Everybody operates from within a kingdom. Your decisions, your desire, the way you live your life, the things you do, your attitude to life is the function of the kingdom from which you are operating.
I will give you a good example. Somebody was talking on the radio, and he said there is a country, if there is a holdup and maybe serious traffic jam, and then there is an emergency that maybe firefighters, you have to make way for firefighters. He says as you make the way for firefighters and they are going through that way, no other vehicle will follow the firefighters. They will still remain in the holdup. He said, does that operate in Nigeria? Why? Because in Nigeria, different laws operate. Is that not? In that country, different laws operate. So, when you see somebody behaving, anytime you see someone taking some steps, doing some things, having some character, it has to do with the kingdom that person is inside. Everybody operates from within a kingdom.
Now, look at Ephesians chapter 2. Let's see the book of Ephesians chapter 2 from verse 1 to 10. Ephesians 2 from verse 1 to 10. If you are there, please read for us.
[Speaker 3]
"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
[Speaker 2]
Thank you very much. Do you notice something there? How many group of people are there? The Bible says the people of this world, they are living their life but it is according to who? According to who? Let's go up. Let's look at it. Let me take a simple version. It says, "You used to live in sin, just as the rest of the world, obeying the devil, the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God." So, when we see a man who refused to obey God, who is operating? The devil. There is a kingdom. There is a kingdom. You see, people don't just do what they do. It looks as if they are the ones doing it. But what does the Bible say? It says they are working according to who? The prince of the power of the air. They are working according to somebody.
So, when you see a man, when you see a man, the Word of God says you must not commit adultery. He says, look, nothing will happen. One death will kill everyone. Let me just do my own. What is operating? It looks like his decision. Is that not true? But who is working? The devil. There is a power. There is a working. Nobody is truly free. Everybody, something motivates people depending on the kingdom that you are inside. There is something working with every person.
Now, what did the Bible say? The Bible says that you used to live where? We used to live in sin. Not until what? Look at verse 3. It says, "All of us used to live how?" Where were all of us? Where were we before? We were in sin. He said we all used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature, we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. Formerly, before we became Christian, where were we? We were in sin. Okay, who is the Lord of sinners? The devil. There is a kingdom. Formerly we were in sin. We were walking according to someone. We are following that person. We are following that person. Satan.
So, when we are in sin, there is a king over the sinner. Who is the king? Satan. They were in a kingdom. And it mentioned, the Bible says that we were saved by what? By grace. It is not of our ourselves. It is of who? It is of God. By grace. So, if you see someone, he now decided and said, "Okay, God is who I want to serve." It looks like he has decided. Is that not? But he's following another king. The Holy Spirit is working. There is something taking over. What I am trying to make us see is that nobody is operating freely. We are operating from within a kingdom.
We are operating from within a kingdom. We will be under the control of some powers. Under the control of those powers, there are characters, works that people bring out. It comes out of that operation. Nobody is really free. What did the Bible say about our faith? He is the author of your faith. Do you see? He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Somebody authored your faith. You didn't author it by yourself. So, there are some powers that are working with people. There are powers, unseen powers. That is the first thing I want to establish. Understanding the kingdom. Kingdom Life Marriage. That there are kingdoms. Everybody operates from within a what? A kingdom. Everybody we see, they are operating from within a kingdom.
And I've just said something. Our default kingdom is the kingdom of darkness. Our default kingdom. The kingdom that we were originally inside is the kingdom of darkness. The kingdom we were born into, that is the kingdom of sin. Nobody was born into the kingdom of righteousness. Look at that in Psalm 51 verse 5. Psalm 51 verse 5. If I'm there first, I will read. If you are there, you read. Psalm 51 verse 5. Okay, I'm already there. It says, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." NLT: "For I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me." So, what were we originally? We were all where? Sin. That was the original thing. Now let's move on. We were all conceived in sin, but something happened.
Now, this understanding of the kingdom is clear in the spirit realm. So, when Jesus actually called men, He was calling men into the Kingdom of God. You see, Jesus understood that originally we were inside where? A kingdom. So, when He started, He started His ministry by saying, "Repent and come into the Kingdom of God." Jesus knew that we were inside a kingdom. He started with the understanding that look, there is a kingdom. You are inside a kingdom. Leave that kingdom. You must leave that kingdom and enter another kingdom.
Let us see that. Let's see that in Matthew chapter 4 verse 17 and 23. Matthew chapter 4, 17 and 23, please.
[Speaker 3]
"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."
[Speaker 2]
So, what do we see about Jesus? He was preaching the Gospel of what? Of the kingdom. The Gospel is to establish a what? A kingdom. So, what I am trying to make us see is that from the moment Jesus started his work, what did He start with? He was talking about kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven. There is a kingdom that is outside the kingdom of this world. Repent and come into the Kingdom of Heaven. He started with an understanding that, look, there is a kingdom. You are inside a kingdom. Leave that kingdom. This is where we are going. Kingdom Life Marriage. You must leave that kingdom and enter another kingdom.
Look at that again in John, John chapter 3 verse 1 to 5. That is a very popular scripture. The matter of the kingdom.
[Speaker 3]
"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
[Speaker 2]
Now, what do you notice here again about Jesus? What was He talking about? A kingdom. He was talking about a kingdom. Nicodemus came and he was telling Him some stories, "Do you see? You see? You know?" He said, look, Nicodemus, forget all these your stories. Except a man be born again, he cannot what? He cannot see the kingdom. Again, He said, look, except a man be born of water and the spirit, he cannot do what? So, what was the concern of Jesus? What was His concern? You seeing a kingdom and you doing what? Entering a kingdom.
What concerned Jesus was about kingdom. It's about the kingdom. You see, this is the thing we must understand when we are talking about marriage. Every marriage is operating from within a kingdom. We will get to that place later. And I will show you some things about your marriage. It is about a kingdom. All the families that we see around us, each family has to do with which kingdom, which kingdom is ruling currently? The kingdom that is ruling currently, that is what we will see manifest in that family. That is the matter of the kingdom.
Now, I want to emphasize a third thing now. Because of the coming of Jesus, every man is now either in the Kingdom of God or in the kingdom of darkness. If Jesus didn't come, all of us would be in the kingdom of darkness. But because Jesus came, what happened? There are two kingdoms now. Kingdom of darkness or Kingdom of God. So, the coming of Jesus introduced another kingdom. It introduced another kingdom.
So today, we are either in the kingdom of darkness or where? In the Kingdom of God. Or the kingdom of light. Either darkness or light. So every family, you see everybody you see today, every boy, every girl, depending, they are either where? In the kingdom of darkness or in the kingdom of light. Look, forget about church. It is not about church. It is about a kingdom. It is about a kingdom.
If the name of my church is Holiness, Holiness, Holiness, Jesus, God, God, God Church. Do you understand? Holiness, Holiness, Holiness, Jesus, God, God, God Church. Or they call it Inside Jesus, Inside Holy Spirit, Inside Holiness Born Church. If I am inside the kingdom of darkness, what will be coming out of me will not be Jesus or Holiness. If they call my church, People Who Are Trying To Know God Small Small, They Don't Know Him Very Well Church. People who are trying to know God small small, they still know God small small, they don't know God too much, they know God small small. If that is my church, but I'm operating, I'm inside the Kingdom of God, what will manifest in me? The things of that kingdom.
So, the matter we are discussing here does not have to do with church. It does not have to do with church. It has to do with what? Kingdom. Kingdom. The matter today is not, is not, is not about, it's not about church. Forget church. I am not saying don't attend your church. I attend one church. I'm very active in my church. But what I am trying to say, the matter of operating a correct marriage is not about which church do you belong. It's about what? Which kingdom are you operating from? The things that are manifest in your life, it shows which kingdom you are in.
Okay, we move on. I believe I have been able to establish the matter of the kingdom. Is that thing very clear? So, kingdom life. Understanding the matter of life. The matter of life. Now, the first thing I have here is this. Critical for us all is to know the work in its either primarily by knowing the truth, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now let's go, let's go, let's go to 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 10. Life operates primarily from the cross. Life operates primarily from the cross. 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 10. Who is there? Please help me.
[Speaker 3]
"But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."
[Speaker 2]
Now, when Jesus came, what did He abolish? What did He abolish? And He brought what? Life and immortality through what? Through what? Through the Gospel. So, what actually brought life? The Gospel. Jesus abolished death and brought life through what? Through the Gospel. Okay. Now, everything about the life which God brings is only in the cross by an operation of God. Now let's look at something very quickly. I believe we are familiar with some texts so we can move a little bit faster. Genesis chapter 2 verse 15. Genesis 2:15. Life came by the Gospel. Jesus took death away and He brought life through the Gospel. Genesis chapter 2 verse 15.
[Speaker 3]
"And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
[Speaker 2]
Are we following something? Are we following something? We are looking at something very, very well. How darkness, how the two kingdom came into existence. Now, God said man should not eat something, if he eats it he will die. Now in chapter 3, what happened? Chapter 3 now. Chapter 3, just between verse 3 and verse 7. What happened? In Genesis chapter 3, 3 and 7. We are familiar with the story.
[Speaker 3]
"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."
[Speaker 2]
So, are we following something there? What led to the death? How did death come? They ate the fruit and they died. When they died, what happened? What happened when they died? Their eyes were opened. And that was the beginning of a what? Of the kingdom of darkness. Is that not? They disobeyed and they died. They disobeyed God. Now, how did that disobedience come? How did it emanate? Somebody came and said, "I'm showing you that nobody is truly free." It looks like it was his decision. There was somebody, somebody initiated it. Then he followed the initiative and then he disobeyed God. And then he did what? She died.
That is why when people are disobeying God, somebody there is somebody somewhere initiating that thing. Are we together? So when people choose to disobey God, it looks like their will. Yes, their will is involved, but there is there is something. Are you understanding me? They died. Now, what essentially was lost in that garden was what? Was that they ate the fruit and they died. When they died, they entered into a what? A kingdom. Are we together? A kingdom. The Bible says the Gospel did what? Abolished what? Death. And brought what? Life and immortality. Are we together? I'm explaining something quickly for us to see. Now let's go to where the Gospel is. Can we go to where the Gospel is now? John 3. Let's go to where the Gospel is, the popular John 3. John 3, go to verse 14.
[Speaker 3]
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
[Speaker 2]
Do you follow something there? Do you follow something there? What essentially did man lose that brought him into the kingdom of darkness? Life. Immediately man died, he was where? In the kingdom of darkness. When Jesus want to bring man to the Kingdom of God, what will Jesus introduce? What will He introduce? Life. So, I'm showing you something. That death is in a kingdom. Life is in another kingdom. Are you following me? In one kingdom, death is working there. In the other, life is working there. Now, how did this life come? 2 Timothy 1 says, Jesus abolished death. He killed death. He brought life through what? By the Gospel. Life come by the Gospel. Now we are now looking at how it came. Jesus said, "For God so loved the world." But look at that statement. "For God so loved the world." You know, if you want to start a word, nobody starts a statement with "for." You know that "for" is telling a story before it. Is that not so? Some words are coming before it. Before it gets to John 3:16, some words are coming. What are the words coming? That is in 14 and what? 15. What are the words coming? Let's look at the words coming. What was he saying? What was he bringing? He said, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent where? In the wilderness. So will what? The Son of man be what? Lifted up. Then what will happen? Whosoever believe will what? Will not perish, but what? Have life. Then he now said, "For God so loved the world."
So listen, the lifting of Jesus up is a demonstration of the love. The lifting, the lifting, because God so love the world that He lifted Him up. Are you understanding me? Now, you need to ask yourself. I am showing you something about life though. Where is life? Where is life? Life is in the Gospel of Jesus. Now, for you to get that life, what did God do? He lifted up Jesus. He lifted up Jesus. For God to give you that life, I'm saying that for life to operate, what did God do? He lifted up Jesus as if he was in the wilderness. Just like it was done where? In the wilderness.
Now, take your mind to the wilderness. Take your mind to the wilderness. What happened in the wilderness? People were bitten by snakes. Is that not? What did they say? They went to meet Moses. Pray to God to do what? To take away the serpent. What did God do? God told Moses to make a what? And place it up. So, look at this. The serpent are down. If they bite some people, what do they do? Look up. Don't look at where they are biting you. If your marriage is dying, don't look. Don't run from the snake. Don't run. How does life operate? How will it operate? Look up. Look up. Life is where? Up. Look up.
Now, the snake, please listen. When you look up, look at me, the snakes are down. When you look up, what will happen to the venom of the snake? What killed the venom? What killed the venom of the snake? You were bitten by a snake and you are looking up. How did the venom die? Are you following me? Do you see that the venom did not die by willpower? The venom did not die by human power. It did not die by some decisions. The venom die by the power of God, by the power of life. Life is where? When you look up, life will flow to counter death. When you look down, death will flow to counter life. When you look up, life will flow to counter death. All of this thing is about a kingdom. It is not about the will of man. If you look up, life will counter death. If you look down, death will counter life.
What I'm showing you, that life in your marriage, or death in your marriage, is about looking up or looking down. Life in your marriage, the kingdom that is working in your family, it has to do with whether you look up or down. The operation in your marriage, whether death is operating in your marriage or life is operating in your marriage, it has to do with whether you are looking up or you are looking down. It doesn't have anything to do with the power of man. It has to do with the power of life or the power of death. There is nothing in man that can handle the venom. Is there anything in man that can handle that venom? No. Nothing about death that can handle that venom. It's about looking up or looking down.
Now if we have understood this, now look at something. It means, it means, it means life in any marriage is possible by a personal, consistent, continuous, intimate, passionate relationship to Jesus. It means life, life in any marriage, if life is going to be in a marriage, life in any marriage is only possible once there is a personal, consistent, continuous, intimate relationship with Jesus. What will be flowing in your marriage? The venom of death. Once there is a personal relationship with Jesus and you are looking up, what will be flowing? The power of life. Don't forget that death is abolished by the Gospel, not by willpower. Death is destroyed by the power of the Gospel.
Now listen, why didn't God take away the snake? Why didn't God take away the snake? It means the snake will always be there, but you can triumph over the snake just by looking up. I see some people pray, "Oh God! Oh God! Oh! In fact, take away the person of my husband. Kill this man. This my wife, just do this, just do that." And we say so many things because we don't understand the power of life and death. Many things that is troubling your own home, there is nothing that is happening to you that is peculiar. It is common to men. Some men are just triumphing over it while you, you are sinking down in it. "My husband is not very, very patient." He's answering. "My husband is not always very understanding." Are you understanding me? You see, the very thing that is killing your marriage, some people are inside the same thing and they are triumphing. They are rejoicing in their own marriage. You will think what is happening to you is not happening to them. It is happening to them but they are triumphing. How? By the power of life. Power of life.
Now, understanding your marriage. Have I explained life? Is that very clear? Is it clear? Can we take the last one now? Understanding your marriage. Something that almost skipped me here. Please look at John 15:5. I want us to have that scripture, please. When I made that quote, "Life is only possible by personal consistent, continuous relationship with Jesus." The Bible quote is John 15:5 and John 6:63. John 15:5, Jesus says, "Without me you can do nothing." But please I want to ask you. Is it true that without Jesus you can do nothing? Jesus says without me you can't do anything. Is it true? Think very well. Some people who don't have Jesus are big professors. There are people without Jesus that are professors. Am I correct? There are people without Jesus that are very, very rich. Am I correct? So please let's think very well. People are doing something without Jesus.
[Speaker 4]
There are people who are very, very rich who at the end of the day, they commit suicide. Because they don't have Jesus. They see life as a thing that is filled with vanity, even with all their wealth.
[Speaker 2]
So without Jesus, a professor is useless as anything. Without Jesus, that rich billionaire is as useless as anything. Yes, they are. But they were able to become professor without Jesus. That's what I'm saying. Are you getting my point? They were able to become rich without Jesus. Some people say, "Go away with Jesus. That stupid idiot. I don't want to know anything about him." And yet, they have marriage, they have children. So how?
[Speaker 4]
I think I had a saying from Bishop Oyedepo. He said there is ambition and there is vision. He was trying to tell us that when you talk about ambition, you can get to anywhere without God. That is your ambition. That is what you want to be and you work towards it, you put your heart in it. But when it comes to vision, you cannot sidetrack God. God must be in it. Vision goes with your purpose of existence. And when you don't recognize the person that is behind the purpose of your existence, the vision will never come to reality. You can always have ambition to any level, but the vision will never come to reality. That's how you see many people they are with ambition, they are not with vision. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.
[Speaker 2]
You know, what Jesus is simply saying is that you can't do anything about life without Jesus. You can exist, but you can't live. You can exist. Your marriage can be existing. Some people are just existing in their marriages. They are not living. Without Jesus you can't live. Life is Jesus. What He is saying is that without Jesus, you can't experience life in your marriage. When God said they will die, were they not existing? Did Adam fall down? No, he was still moving around. He was still taking his wife. He gave birth to Cain, gave birth to Abel, gave birth to that. What was he doing? He was existing. He was no more living. So, nobody can do anything about life outside Jesus. Why? And how do we get the life? John 6:63. He says, "The word which I speak unto you, they are what? They are spirit and they are life." So, how will a wife get life in her marriage? How will she get life? If she wants to do anything and she wants it to be life, as Jesus speaks to her and she does what? She obeys that. What will happen to that thing? Life. And Jesus speaks again, what happens? Implementation. What does it bring? Life. As Jesus speaks and he keeps implementing, what will a man bring life into the marriage?
Now, if we have understood this, let's look at something as we try to come to understanding your marriage. The first order or the second order. The first order or the second order. My prayer is that your marriage will be the marriage of the first order. Your marriage will not be the marriage of the second order. The marriage of the first order and the marriage of the second order. Let's look at it like this. In Genesis 1, Genesis 1:26, God said, "Let us make man in our image after our own likeness, and let them do what? Let them have dominion over the birds of the air, over the fowls and everything." And then when God wanted to make the man, what did He do? He made the woman out of the man. Is that not? Okay. Now when God made the woman out of the man, what exactly did God have in mind? What was in God's mind? Let's look at it. When God made man, let's look at that Genesis 1:26. Please let's look at it together.
Are you there? Look at it. God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over what?" Everything that God created. Look at it in another translation. Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, so that they will have reign over the fish of the sea, all the creation." Now look at that again in Genesis chapter 3. Genesis chapter 3, when God was giving an injunction. Look at it in Genesis chapter 3 verse 16. "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall do what?"
What was the first order? Genesis 1:26, what was the first order? God created them and said they should do what? They should rule over everything. In 3:16, what did He say? "And he shall rule over thee." What was the first order? In the first order, they were to do what? They were to both rule over everything. In the second order, what did He say? He said the man should rule over the woman. It means there is something about the first order different from the second order. There was a first order. What was the first order? They were to both rule over everything. What was the second order? The man should rule over the woman. Which means originally, how was the man to be ruling? How was he to rule initially? He was to rule alongside with the woman. But in the second order, he is to now rule not only over every other thing but also do what? Rule over the woman too.
Are you following me? How did that come about? So what is the manifestation of the kingdom of darkness? A man rules over a woman in marriage. What is the manifestation of the original kingdom? The man and the woman ruled over everything they have. How do we know that a kingdom of darkness is at work? When the man just rules over the woman. Praise the Lord. I know some of us are wondering now what am I saying. How do we know the kingdom of light? The woman and the man rule over what? Everything. But when the man rule the woman, rule over the woman alongside every other thing, what happens? Is the introduction of a kingdom.
Now, I want to make you understand something. Look at Ephesians. Look at Ephesians chapter 5. We normally read that scripture so much. Are you there? Look at what the Bible says there. Look at from verse 25. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself." When a man rules over his wife, what is he marching on? In the mind of God, what did God do in creation? Adam was first made. Am I correct? How did He create Eve? We took out of Adam to create Eve. That Adam said, "This is the bone of my bone, the flesh of my flesh. She shall become..." Now I want to ask you. Is a woman another creation or an extension of Adam? What is Eve? The bone of Adam, the flesh of Adam. That is what Eve is. Am I correct? So was Eve another person? She was not another person. Adam was just extended in such a way that Adam can multiply through her.
Are you with me? So when God first made man, you know it is only in human being that the man was first made and the woman was now made from the man. Every other thing, it was not like that. Are you aware? Why did God do it like that? So that the masculine, the man can be what we just read now in Ephesians. Number one, the man can be, look at what it says. He says, "Therefore, husband, love your wife as Christ love the church and gave himself." So that one, the purpose of masculine, the masculine gender is so that there can be somebody that can be given up for femininity to live.
Are you following me? Why we first make the man. You know the man was first made and the woman is the image of the glory of the man. Are you aware? The reason for that is so that the man can be a savior, not a terror. Number two is so that the woman can have somebody to sanctify her. Somebody to help her become holy. The woman can have somebody that will cleanse her. The woman can have somebody that will save her, somebody that will protect her. That is the essence of a man. That's the essence of a man inside the kingdom of light.
It was when sin came that there was a new operation. In that operation now, the man, immediately God say, "Adam, what happened?" instead of protecting the woman, what did he say? "It is this woman." It was from that point that the woman began to lack a savior. It was from that point that the woman began to lack somebody to sanctify her. It was from that point that the woman began to lack somebody to be a deliverer. It was from that point that, do you notice something? Oh, thank you, Holy Spirit. Look, listen. Who first ate the fruit that brought death? Who first ate it? Eve or Adam? "Adam." "Eve." Who first ate the fruit? Eve. Was it not Eve? Let's check the Bible. Who first ate the fruit? Eve or Adam? "Eve." No, who first ate the fruit? Eve. When she ate it, what happened? She was still alive. Okay, can we now say as by one woman sin entered the world? I am asking you, can we say one woman sin entered the world and death by sin? So sin passed unto all men for that all have sinned. What is the Bible? As by one man, sin entered the world. So Eve ate it first, but how did Eve become a sinner? Adam ate it. Do you notice that it was when Adam ate it that sin entered the world? When God came and said, "Adam," Adam at least said, "Baba, I have brought sin into the world."
Do you know it is in the second order that you will see a man that justifies himself when marriage is not in order? When there is problem in marriage and you see a man that says it's about the woman, it is the second operation. I'm telling you the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. Where is your marriage? Once you enter a marriage and you see a man full with the fruit of self-justification as to what is going on in the marriage, it is the second operation. In the first order, the man will know that it is by one man that sin entered the world, even if the woman is the initiator of the problem. Why? Because the essence of making him first, when we say the man is the glory of God, the woman is the glory of the man, the reason for that is so that the woman can have a savior. A savior, a deliverer, somebody to deliver her, somebody to save her, somebody to protect her, somebody to say, "No, death can't kill you." That is what Jesus did.
And in the new order, what do we see about a woman? When God was making the woman, you remember, God did not make the woman independently. He made her from where? From the man. Do you remember that the first thing Jesus did when He was to start His work with His church? What did He do? The Bible says He appointed twelve that they may be with Him. You see, in the correct order, when a woman enters into a marriage, if it is not the second order, if it is the first order, because the woman is taken out of the man, the first thing about a woman is to be with the man. That is, that she may take his yoke upon him and learn of him. Most women don't learn their husbands. They begin to compare them. They begin to compare their husband. Instead of sitting down to learn their husband. Learn your own. Don't compare him. He appointed twelve that they should first be with Him so that they can learn of Him. Learn your own. Don't compare him. Learn the way he thinks. Learn your own. Most women don't learn their husband. Rather they want to change their husband. That is a second order. It's not the first order.
I'm talking of marriage of the first and the second order. Women who are in the kingdom of light, they handle 1 Peter chapter 3. He said, "Wives, adapt yourself to your own husband so that even when they disobey the word, they can by your lifestyle be won over." You don't need to argue. By your lifestyle you can learn your husband. Go and learn him. Go and learn him. I'm showing you the purpose of femininity and masculinity. Unfortunately today, it is the second order that operates in most marriages.
Apart from that, what do we see again in this order? You notice that at a point Jesus got to a point that He was weary and He said, "Look, follow me. My soul is troubled." And then when He got to one point again, He left the rest and took how many? Three. And then He got to a point, He said, "These three, what should you do? Pray with me." I'm showing you a correct wife. A correct wife become a wife that when all others have been thrown out, the husband can say, "Be with me and pray with me. This is my situation." She can enter into the intimate of her husband. Jesus left the remaining nine somewhere. He said, "You these three, you understand me better." That is a wife. Why? Because these three, they have learned Jesus. He said, "Peter, James, and John, follow me. You see my soul, pray for me the next one hour. Pray for me, pray for me." He comes back, they were sleeping. He said, "Pray, pray, pray with me." He left the remaining nine. That is a wife. A wife can enter into the stronghold of the weakness of her husband. That is a wife. He learns him, he take his yoke and it can be separated. He entered into intimacy with the husband.
That is the purpose of femininity. If you are not the type when your husband is troubled and all of that, and the thing he is thinking about, "I wish that my secretary is here. That woman understands me. She understands how I feel." Sister, you are not a wife. You have not learned your husband. There are some things that woman did, that woman did and then she became... What is in her that you don't have? Is it breasts or vagina or what? What is in her that you don't have? It's because you didn't learn the man. You are comparing the man. You didn't learn him. If you sit down to learn him, when the man become troubled, he say, "Ah, I have a confidence." That's how it should be. Jesus could take three along with him. He left the remaining nine. That is a wife.
I'm showing you the purpose of understanding your marriage. If you enter into marriage as a man and you are not a savior, you are not a deliverer, you are not a protector, you are not there to sanctify and to cleanse a woman, you are a failure. You are a useless masculine gender. You are a useless man. You have lost the purpose of being a man. You have lost manhood. You're operating in a kingdom of the second order, the kingdom of darkness. Understand the purpose of being a man is not to terrorize. It is to protect, it is to deliver, it is to carry, it is to save, it is to sanctify, that you may present her to yourself. Is she struggling as a wife? It is for you to see how you will present, you do, you do. Look at how Jesus did that of Peter. "Peter, I have discovered that you want to deny me. He said don't worry, I have prayed. I have prayed. After you have been converted, strengthen the brethren." That is a savior. Can a man know the weakness of his wife and then the man will enter the place of prayer and say, "God, this woman must become stable. She must become converted. Lord, sanctify her for me." And by the virtue of your prayer, your staying, your discipline, the woman will become stable. That is the purpose of being a man. That is why you are stronger. It is not, "Me! Me! I built this house with my money. You are a stupid woman. Go out of my house." You are nothing. That's not the purpose of a man.
That is what operates in the second order. How do we know that as I close? Look at Galatians chapter 5. That's our last scripture. We will see the manifestation of both kingdoms. Galatians chapter 5. I wish we can project that thing. I will show you different translations. Galatians chapter 5. But please lay it to heart. Go home and check your marriage. What is going on? Is it the first order or the second order? Galatians chapter 5. Let us go together. It's a popular scripture, but we'll be reading together. Please if there are issues like they have told you, please if you have time, every first and third Monday come here with us. Marriage Forum. Come and learn. Let's learn together. Let's learn together. Look at what the Bible says. Galatians chapter 5, I read from verse 16. It's a popular scripture, but it helps you to know what is in your marriage. I read from a very, very simple translation. "So I say, let the Spirit guide your life. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants." The first and the second order. Are you seeing it? Are you seeing the first and the second order? "And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature wants. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your own good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under the obligation of the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear. What are the results? Sexual immorality." When you begin to look at one sister's skirt and not your wife's skirt. Sexual immorality. "The works are clear. What are they? Sexual immorality, impurity, lustful desire, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling." Are you following me? Quarreling, jealousy. Some people can jealous. They are just, I'm talking about you and your wife now. You don't know that you are destroying yourself. Jealousy, outbursts of anger. "Me! I will scatter the place. I will break everything." Second order. Another kingdom is working in you. Not the Kingdom of God. Outbursts of anger, selfish ambition. Selfish ambition. Do you know that the ingredient of incompatibility is selfishness? Selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sinful things like this. "Let me tell you again, as I have told you before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the kingdom of God."
Brother, sister, go and watch your life. Are you in the Kingdom of God? If your life don't follow the life of the Spirit, you will not inherit God's kingdom. You are attending church, you do everything, you sing in choir, you are a Bible study teacher, you are a preacher, you prophesy, and at last He will say, "Hey, sorry. But Lord, I prophesied in your name." He can look at a man and say, "Sorry, worker of iniquity. Leave me." Why? Because you could not practice the kingdom in your home. In your home. Let's check our life. "But the fruit of the Spirit, what is it? Love. What is it again? Joy. What is it again? Peace. What is it again? Longsuffering. What is it again? Gentleness. What is it again? Goodness. What is it again? Faith. What is it again? Meekness." Some people are so revengeful, so malicious in their home. You are filled with revenge. Your wife talks one way, you think he pains you too, you begin to wash your life. And then you are already planning your own. Meekness. You are not meek in your marriage. And then you are rejoicing. You are a fool. You are a fool. You're operating another kingdom. It's another kingdom. Let's stay within the kingdom. In our kingdom, what operates is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control. Against such, there is no law.
Let us pray. Let us pray. What is operating in your marriage? Is it a work with Jesus? Speaking from Jesus? Or you have lost the purpose of being a woman? Instead of learning your husband, instead of taking his yoke, you are comparing his yoke with that of Brother Sunday. Take his yoke upon you and learn from him. That yoke will become easy. Take it. Don't be afraid. Take it. Learn him. Learn him. Learn your husband. The other way, are you a man? You think you are, instead of ruling with her, you are ruling over her. You are ruling over. You're supposed to rule with her. You are ruling over. And by the virtue of your prayer, your staying, your discipline, the woman will become stable. That is the purpose of being a man. That is why you are stronger. It is not, "Me! Me! I built this house with my money. You are a stupid woman. Go out of my house." You are nothing. That's not the purpose of a man.
That is what operates in the second order. Why? A savior, a deliverer, somebody to deliver her, somebody to save her, somebody to protect her, somebody to say, "No, death can't kill you." That is what Jesus did. Kingdom Life Marriage. The kingdom of light. Kingdom Life Marriage. The kingdom of light. Are you in darkness or in light? Where is your marriage? Where is your marriage? Always remember, you are always operating from within a kingdom. If you say you are born again, from where are you operating? From where are you operating? Are you walking in the flesh or in the Spirit? If you have not been born again, give your life to Jesus. Give your life to Jesus. Begin today and say, "I want to give my life to you, Jesus, and then to live correctly in this kingdom." Oh, thank You, Everlasting Father. Blessed be Your holy name. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. I want to hand over to our brother to round up the meeting.
[Speaker 4]
Heavenly Father, we are very grateful unto You for Your word that has gone forth this afternoon. We bless You because it is in You that we live, that we move, and that we have our being. Thank You, Lord, for Your servant whom You have used this afternoon to expose Your word to us. We ask that Lord, You will help us. That Lord, in all areas where Your word has touched us in our marriages, we ask that Lord, we shall make amends. We shall make changes. We shall look unto You. Just like when Moses raised that serpent in the wilderness, the Lord Jesus Christ was raised on that cross. We cannot do away with those serpents around us. We cannot do away with those challenges in our lives and in our marital lives. But Father, we know when we look unto You, who is the author and the finisher of our faith, we know that we can overcome all challenges in our different marriages. Lord, we ask, oh God, that as from this day, Lord, we shall continue to look unto You. we shall continue to trust You for every challenging situation in our marriages in the name of Jesus. We know that because You are there for us, we shall always overcome in the name of Jesus. The grace to be submissive as wives to our husbands, grant unto us in the name of Jesus. The grace to rule together with our wives, Lord we ask that You give unto us as husbands in the name of Jesus. We shall not be terrors in our homes, but we shall see ourselves as partners in progress in the name of Jesus. Father, we bless You. we say, Lord, continue to be with us and strengthen us, even as we run this race of life in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Father, because You are our God. In Jesus' name we have prayed. Amen.
