[Singing - Yoruba and English hymns] Our father, we thank you again as we gather unto you this evening to pray. We appreciate you, we bless your name, we lift you high. We thank you for your love and your mercies today, 30th of November, the last day in the 11th month of the year. Few hours' time we will be in the last month of the year 2020. Lord, we appreciate you, we bless your name. We lift you high, we magnify your name. It has been you, it is still you, it will yet be you. We magnify your name, we lift you high. We say Lord, if you have not been on our side, if it has not been you, if it is not on account of your mercy, if your mercy had not been there, if your hand, your providence, your care, your support, your assistance had not been there, we wonder how it should have looked like. Lord, we worship you. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. We say blessed be your name. Blessed be your name, father. We say glorified be adored in the name of Jesus. [Congregation: Amen.] Lord, we pray this evening that you will help us to pray. You will cause us to pray. You will lead us to pray. You will make us to pray. You will pray accordingly. We'll pray right. We'll pray through in the name of Jesus Christ. [Congregation: Amen.] Thank you, immortal father. Blessed be your holy name, our God. In Jesus' name, we pray. [Congregation: Amen.] We will be taking our prayer points from the various topics we had in the course of the last two, three months. And I want us to begin with where we left the matter last week, where we left the matter two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, we said something that what makes this period to be hard and difficult is the attitude and the approach of men to life. The attitude of men to life. When the attitude of men is centered on selfishness, then it becomes very difficult for men to live, to not experience the perils of our time, the difficulties of our time. And so, I want to take this first prayer point. David said in Psalm 27:11—I'll read the New King James Version—"Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path because of my enemies." Teach me your ways, O Lord. I would like to take that. Let me read that in the NLT translation, Psalm 27:11. I like the presentation in the NLT translation. David said, "Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me." I want to take our prayers from there. You see, living right is not a thing that comes by human capacity. It comes by the capacity of God. You see, we want to begin to pray this evening and say, "God, you see the times are perilous, but what takes life to be difficult and we don't experience peace several times is because we are not living right." We don't live right. When we say, "Things are, I'm finding this difficult, my relationship with this person is difficult, my relationship with my boss is difficult, my relationship with my friend is difficult," I don't understand, there is something about it. It's about how we live. I want us to begin to pray that God—the Psalmist said, "Lord, teach me how to live." Can you begin with God this evening and say, "God, Lord, teach me how to live. Lord, show me how to live. Lord, show me what manner of man I ought to be in my lifestyle." You say, "Lord, teach me how to live. Teach me how. Teach me how to live." In my intimate relationship, in my approach to people, in my relationship to my wife, my relationship to my husband, my relationship to my subordinates, to my superior. Lord God Almighty, teach me how to live. Teach me how to live. The Psalmist said, "Lead me along the right path. Lead me along the right path. Lead me along the right path. Lead me along the right path." Not only teach us how to live, but that the Lord will lead us. He will lead us along the right path. Along the right path. Along the right path. Being led along the right path. He said something there. He said, "Because my enemies are waiting for me. Because my enemies are waiting for me." I will get to that, but I first want us to pray, "Lord, teach me how to live and Lord, lead me along the right path for my life. Lead me along the right path for my life." You will see that prayer again in another form in Psalm 32:8-9. That prayer presents itself again in Psalm 32 around verse eight and nine. He says, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way in which thou shalt go and I will guide thee with my eye." But look at what follows immediately. Let me read a simpler version, NLT. "The Lord says, 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.' But what do you see in verse nine? He says, 'Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and a bridle to keep it under control.'" You can see what God is saying there. He says, "I will teach you in the path that is best for you." Can you speak to the Lord this evening? "Baba, in these perilous times, in these times that people are finding things difficult, there is a path that is best for me." He said, "I will guide you along the path that is best for your life." Can you pray to the Lord? "Baba, guide me along the path that is best for my life. Guide me along the path that is best for my life." That path in which I will not experience, O God, I will not experience this being cut down, being cut short and being cut low. Lord God Almighty, guide me around the path that is best for my life. And then the Lord says something there. He says, "Do not be senseless." King James says, "Be ye not as the horse or as the mule, which have no understanding." He says, "Don't be like the horse or the mule that lack understanding." I want you to pray that I will not lack understanding. You see, when God wants to guide and lead you, what God is saying is that, "Be careful not to be senseless in the way you think. Be careful not to be without understanding." You find in Ephesians 5:17, he says, "Be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Be not unwise, but understanding. There is a place of understanding. There is a place where you must be quick to understand what the Lord is saying. You must be quick to understand where the Lord is leading. You must be quick to understand what the Lord is pointing your life to. I want you to pray that I will not lack understanding. He says, "Be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." The Psalmist says, "O, but do not be like the horse or the mule that lack understanding." I want you to pray, "I will not lack understanding in respect of direction for life. I will not lack understanding. I will not lack understanding. Lord God Almighty. Lord God Almighty, I will not lack understanding." Thank you, blessed father. In Jesus' name, we pray. [Congregation: Amen.] We still want to pray about this matter of understanding. If you look at Job 39:13-17, when God began to answer Elihu, when God began to answer him, you know, God said something. He said, "Look at the ostrich." God speaking about the ostrich. He said the ostrich is unlike the eagle. He said, "Because the ostrich will lay its egg in the ground, yet it does not realize that human beings can match its egg and destroy them." He said, "Why?" He said, "Because I withheld understanding from it." You go to Daniel 2. Daniel said, "The Lord gives understanding to the wise." Do you get that at all? It means understanding can be withheld and understanding can be given. He says, "The Lord gives understanding to the wise." It means when men are prudent with their lives, it is because the Lord gave them understanding. When men are not prudent with their lives, when they are not wise with the handling of their life, the matter is that there is a lack of understanding. I want you to pray. He said, "The Lord gives understanding to the wise." We want to ask God. We want to say, "Baba, Lord, grant my heart understanding." Because the Lord is telling us that if he has to guide us in the path that is best for us, then we must not lack understanding. And yet he is the one that gives understanding. Look at how James put it. He says, "If any man lack wisdom, let him ask God. Ask God." God is the one that gives it. So we want to ask God. We want to say, "Baba, Lord, particularly this period that we are in, this stage in human history, Lord, cause my heart to understand. Give me a heart that of quick understanding. Help me to guide my life with prudence. Let me be prudent with my life. Grant me that I will be prudent, very prudent, very prudent with my life. I will not carry my life anyhow. Lord, I will carry my life with understanding. Understanding of the purpose of God, understanding of the mind of God, understanding of the will of God, understanding of the plans of God, understanding of the paths of God, understanding of the path that is best for my life." God says, "I will guide you in the path that is best for your life." It means—please, I want you to listen. I want you to listen. It means some paths may be good, another one may be better, than another one is best. If you lack understanding, you may go in the path that is good. You may go off the path that is best. So we are praying about this that Lord, particularly at this end-time where all things are closing up, where there is no time to waste, you can't be wasting away this period. This time in human history is not a time to waste away. It's not a time to be wasting your time. It's a time to properly engage your time. But we need to ask the Lord. "Baba, release to me of understanding. To understand the path that is best for me. Lord, understanding, understanding. Understanding in my Christian work, understanding in my Christian life, understanding in my academic life, understanding in my marital life, understanding in my work with God, understanding in my outlook to life, understanding in planning my life, understanding in setting my goals, understanding in setting my priorities, understanding in my value system, understanding in my choice, in making choices, in making choices in life, in choosing what to do and not to do, in choosing what to leave and what to be involved in, in choosing what to invest my time into. Lord, grant understanding. Grant understanding. This period will not be difficult for me. It will not be difficult, it will not be hard. It will not be difficult, it will not be hard. O, I will walk in the path of peace. I will walk in the path of godliness. I will walk in the path of righteousness. I will walk in the path that is best for my life. In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus." Thank you, father. In Jesus' name, we pray. [Congregation: Amen.] You know, if you look at that scripture, it says, "Lord, lead me in the right path because my enemies are waiting for me." My enemies are waiting for me. Why I will begin with that, but I will soon show you that that is still the smallest of what is involved. Now, when you talk about your enemies, David was praying that because there are adversity, there are enemies waiting for me, God should please lead him in the right path so that the enemies will not be able to conquer him. Now, we know David was speaking about human enemies as at that time. But when we look at our time, we're talking about principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places. The Bible says, "Break the hedge, he who break the hedge," what will happen to the person who break the hedge? "The serpent will bite him." Now, I want to remind you of something, not really show it. If you look at the book of Luke 22:1-6. It says, "Now, on the first festival of unleavened bread, now the festival of unleavened bread was drawing near, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to do away with Jesus for they feared the people. But then," what do you see there? "Satan entered into Judas." I want you to note that scripture. The high priest was looking for how they will get Jesus. They didn't know how they will do it. The Bible now says, "But then, Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve," trying to remind us of who Judas really was, that he's actually the one that's among the twelve. Look at what the Bible says. "And he went away and discussed with the chief priest and captain how he might betray him and deliver him to them. And they were delighted and pledged themselves to give him money. So he agreed to this and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the people." The Bible says Satan entered into Judas. But you may wonder, why Satan entered into Judas? If you go and check the history, you will discover that before Judas got to this point, number one, Judas had been somebody who always had been stealing from the purse. Are you aware of that? You remember that the Bible says he was a thief, he had been stealing from the purse. What I'm trying to make you see is that because his path had not been right, he became an instrument in the hand of the devil. You see, when we are talking about walking in the right path, it's because when you begin to walk in the wrong path, you open up your life to the devil. You open up your life. The Bible says, "Break an hedge or break the hedge, what happened? Serpent will bite you." Break it, and you will see it. So, I want us to look at that matter. When you say there are demonic operation, demons are oppressing people, demons are controlling people, demons are doing that, so many demonic is happening today, the people that these demons have a way, an inroad into their lives, were men whose lives were not right. The Bible says Satan wanted to fulfill a particular agenda. And what happened? He saw an available vessel in Judas. So we are praying when you say, "Because my enemies waiting," I don't want you to be thinking of one baba who is planning to take your land or one woman, one lecturer who does not like your face. That's not the enemy I'm talking about. I'm talking about principalities and powers, I'm talking about spiritual wickedness. So you want to pray. You want to say, "Lord God, just like David prayed, 'Baba, help me to live right because of the adversary.' Because of the adversary. Lord, God, cause my path to be straight. Lord, cause my path to be even. Lord, help me to be an overcomer over temptation. When I'm tempted, help me to overcome. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than me. Lord, be my rock, be my stay, be my strength because of my adversary. Because of my adversary. There is an adversary. We have an adversary, we have an adversary. And that adversary is waiting for an opportune time. Those opportune time are those times when we don't live right. Those opportune time are those times when we begin to walk in unrighteousness. Are those times when we give in into what we should not give in into. Are those times when we fall under temptation. I want you to pray that Lord God Almighty, you will keep me standing. You will keep me standing." Jude 1:24 says, "To him that is able to keep you from falling." I want you to pray that prayer. "Lord, you are the one who is able to keep me from falling. You are the one who is able to keep me from falling. Lord, you will keep me. You will keep me because of the adversary. You will uphold my life because of the adversary. I'll be upheld. Lord, you will keep me in the path of righteousness for your name's sake. You will keep me in the path of righteousness in the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus. Thank you, eternal father. In Jesus' name, we pray." [Congregation: Amen.] The right path, walking in the right path. You remember we were dealing with something about three, four weeks ago. We were dealing with imagination and faith. How it was so sweet that when God wants to help a man, what God begins to affect is the man's thought and imagination. The man's thought and imagination. And there was a prayer we prayed in the course of that ministration that God, Lord—the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we pull down stronghold and we cast down imagination. We cast down imagination. Imaginations that are contrary and opposed to God. We want to pray this evening. We want to talk to the Lord that God Almighty, God Almighty, Lord God, by the quickening of your spirit, by the quickening of your spirit, Lord, send your help into my life. By the quickening of your spirit, send your help into my life. Lord God Almighty, imaginations of your purpose, imaginations of your will, imaginations of your intention for my life. You see, your imagination must be right for you to act right. Your imagination must be correct for you to live right. You want to pray that God, Lord, send help by the quickening of my thought. The quickening of my thought. Lord, quicken my thought. Lord, quicken my imagination. Lord, help my imagination. My imaginations will not be vain. My imaginations will be right. My imaginations will be correct. My imaginations, O God, Lord Almighty, will be in the paths of life in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. I want you to open to Psalm 29. Look at something in Psalm 29 from verse one. It says, "Ascribe to the Lord, O sons of the mighty, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory due to his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness," or in a holy array. From verse three, please follow this thing one after the other. We'll be praying with the last verse. But please, open your mind to what we are reading from the verse three. It began to talk about the voice of the Lord, the voice of the Lord, the voice of the Lord. In the verse three, it says, "The voice of the Lord is upon the waters. The glory of God thunders and the Lord is upon many great waters." Verse four: "The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedar. Yet, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedar of Lebanon." Verse six: "He makes them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord splits and flashes forth fork lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the wilderness tremble. The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the hinds bring forth their young. His voice strips bare the forest, while in his temple everyone is saying 'Glory!' The Lord sits as king over the flood. The Lord sits as king forever." Verse 11: "The Lord gives," what do you see? "Strength to his people. The Lord bless his people with peace." Do you get something there? The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord scatter the wilderness, lack, needs and all of that. The voice of the Lord scatters it. The voice of the Lord breaks the mountain, difficulties and challenges. The voice of the Lord scatters them. The lack in our life, the wilderness, the voice of God shakes them off. That is the voice of God. He now say, "The Lord will give strength unto his people, he will bless them with peace." So exactly how does God give strength to his people? By his voice. How will the Lord scatter your wilderness? How will the Lord make your mountain to skip so that you can have peace? By his voice. It is by his voice. By his voice. By his voice. By his voice. I want you to pray. Lord, the sound of your voice in my spirit. The sound of your voice in my situation. The sound of your voice. The voice of the Lord is power. When you hear the sound of the voice within your spirit, you receive strength and peace. When the voice of the Lord come into your situation, it changes it. I want you to pray that Lord God Almighty, the sound of your voice within my spirit. The sound of your voice. Lord, speak into my heart. Lord, speak into my situation. Lord, let me hear the sound of your voice. O, it says faith cometh by hearing and hearing the words of the Lord. I want you to pray. Lord, your voice, your voice. Lord, that I may hear your voice. That I may hear your voice. The sound of your voice within my spirit. The sound of your voice. Lord, the sound of your voice within my situation. The sound of your voice in my marriage. The sound of your voice in my children. The sound of your voice in my home. The sound of your voice in my career. O, it is by voice. It is voice versus voice. It is voice against voice. It is voice against voice. Your life is directed by the voice that you are hearing. Your life is directed by the voice that you are hearing. The voice that you listen to direct your life. The voice that speak in your heart direct your life. The voice that speak in your situation direct your life. I want you to pray. Lord, be a strength unto me. Lord, bless me with peace. O, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice. He said the sound of the voice, he said the voice of the Lord is power. The voice of the Lord is majestic. O, it comes with majesty. I want you to pray that God Almighty, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice. Lord, as I do my quiet time, your voice. Lord, in my rising up, Lord, your voice. In my laying down to sleep, Lord, your voice. Lord, as I walk in the path, as I walk in the way, let me hear your voice. Lord, as I go in my path, Baba, your voice. Lord, the sound of your voice. Isaiah said, "You shall hear a voice from behind you. That voice will say, 'This is the way, walk in it.'" You shall hear a voice from behind you. I'm talking about the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord, the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord, the voice of the Lord. Thank you, father. In Jesus' name, we pray. [Congregation: Amen.] Don't forget all the thing that we are talking about. It's about the right path. There is a path where you find peace, that is the path of God. The right way to live, the best path for your life. That's why we are joining all of these prayers together. Now, God spoke to Elijah in 1 Kings 18:1. He said, "Go, I will send rain." God came to Elijah in 1 Kings 18:41 with a sound of that rain. God spoke, "Go, I will send it." And then when he came to verse 41, he began to hear the sound of that which God said. I don't know whether you're familiar with this song. "O let me hear you speaking in accents clear and still, above the storms of passion, the murmur of self-will. O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control. O speak and make me listen, my guardian, my savior and my friend." You see, there is something about being able to walk in the right path. Elijah was told, "Go to Ahab, I will send rain." When he got to Ahab, it was a contest. After all the contest and everything, and they have killed the prophet of Baal, to be sure that Elijah should not miss the path he's supposed to go, what did God do this time? God, so that he can remember the initial mission, the initial mission was to go and bring rain. All the other things that you did, they were just as well as. The primary purpose is to bring rain. The killing of those prophet was just jara. Calling down fire was not the primary thing, wasn't the primary thing. There is a primary thing that I've sent you to go and do, is to go and bring rain. So after Elijah has slain the prophet, he has made fire to come down and all that happened. What did God do to put him on the right path? God brought sound. The primary purpose began to sound within him. Now, it is time for the rain. Now, call for the rain. Now, the rain must fall. Now, the rain must fall. God began to burden the heart of that man, he began to burden his heart, then the man climbed the mountain. And when he got there, he began to pray. When he began to pray, he sent his servant to go. Servant said there was nothing. Did he take no for an answer? Of course not. Of course not. I'm talking about the power of persistence. When you see men who persist in the face of failing situation, it is because they are hearing the correct sound. When men just give up, "It has tired me, one thing or another," it is because inside them there is no sound. I'm talking about the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord. I can hear the sound of abundance of rain in the spirit. There was no sign. I'm talking about the voice of the Lord. It was when that sound became distinct in his heart, it was on the basis of that sound that Elijah was able to pray. When the Bible says Elijah was a man of like passion, he prayed as it'd be no rain and there was no rain. Again, what did he do? He prayed again. Why could he pray? There was a sound. I am saying that when you don't hear the sound of God in your spirit, your prayer life cannot be serious. You cannot pray effective prevailing prayer, except you can hear his voice inside. The strength of your prayer life is a function of can you hear something within? Once inside you you cannot hear anything, you will not pray something. That is why you will get to the place of prayer and then father in the name of Jesus, father I just forgive you, I forgive you because you have slept off. You are forgiving the father. Because you have slept. See, brethren, I want you to pray. I'm talking about the voice of the Lord. You see, the voice of the Lord is power. The voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters. The problems of our life, the voice of God is upon them. The challenges, the mountain, the voice of God scatters them. The lack in our life, the wilderness, the voice of God shakes them off. That is the voice of God. He now say, "The Lord will give strength unto his people, he will bless them with peace" by that same voice. It's by that voice. I want you to pray this evening, I want you to pray, I want you to pray, I want you to pray. "O Lord God Almighty, the sound of your voice in the inside of me. The sound of your voice. Lord, by the quickening of your spirit, send your help into my life. Lord, the sound of your voice in respect of your purpose for my life, in respect of your will, in respect of your intentions for my life, in respect of your plans for my life, in respect of your visions for my life, in respect of your intentions for my life. Lord, cause me to hear the sound of your voice. Elijah heard it in respect of a rain. God want Elijah to pray for rain to come. But for Elijah to be able to pray, he must hear the sound of that rain. I want you to pray, if God want you to fulfill something, you must hear the sound of it in your spirit. You must hear the sound of his voice. I want you to ask the Lord, 'God, the sound of the voice of your purpose in my heart, the sound of the voice, that sound of your voice of your purpose, of your will, of your vision, of your intention for my life. Lord, cause me to hear the sound.' The sound within my spirit. Lord, sound within my spirit by the reason of your voice. Lord sound, cause me to hear the sound of your voice. Elijah said, 'I can hear it. I can hear the sound. I can hear the sound. I can hear the sound.'" Can you pray this evening? "Lord, I will hear the sound. I will hear the sound. Inside me will not be empty. Inside me will not be empty. Pregnant with the purpose of God, pregnant with the visions of God, pregnant with the will of God. Inside me, inside me, sound of your voice." Thank you, father. Elijah said, "I can hear the sound of abundance of rain." In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. [Congregation: Amen.] I want us to now use that very scripture to pray as we look towards the month of December. He said the Lord will be a strength unto his people and the Lord will bless his people with peace. I want you to pray, "Lord, as I march through into December, you will be a strength unto me and you will bless me with peace. Lord, you will be a strength unto me. Lord, you will be a strength unto me. Lord, you will be a strength unto me." David said, "The Lord is my light and my salvation. The Lord is the strength of my life." It is because he can hear the Lord. He can hear him, he can feel him, he can know him. I want you to pray, "Lord, be a strength unto me. Lord, be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life. Be the strength of my life in the name of Jesus. As I march into the month of December, me and my household, me and my family, me and my children, me, O God, me and my wife. O Lord, God Almighty, God, be a strength unto me and bless me with peace. Lord, be a strength unto me. Lord, be a strength unto me. Lord, be a strength unto me. A strength, yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord. Be a strength unto me. O Lord, be a strength unto me and Lord bless me with peace. Be a strength unto me. Lord be my strength. I want you to pray, "As I walk into December, it shall be strength and peace. Strength for the journey. Peace in my journey. Strength for the journey. Peace in my journey. O, as I step into December, I receive strength for the journey and peace in all my journey. I receive strength for the journey of December. Journey for the journey through December into 2021. I receive strength to journey through December and I receive strength to journey through December into 2021. Strength and peace." Elijah said, "I can hear the sound of abundance of rain." In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
