[Speaker 1]
It was to be a teaching section last week, but the Lord helped us that it became more of a prophetic section. And we thank the Lord for how He helped us and we trust Him again to help us today to do that which is in His heart to do in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray and then we will ask those of us who were physically present what was our point of lessons from last week or what was a blessing to you and then we move on for today.
Everlasting Father, we are grateful unto You. We bless You for this time again in Your presence, and we commit the meeting into Your hands. We say, Lord God, let it please You to attend to our gathering in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we trust You for our brethren who are linking up with us online and we who are physically present here. Lord, we trust that You will meet with us all in the name of Jesus. Lord, our eyes on You. Let nothing prevail against Your purposes for our lives. Help us, for You are our helper in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Eternal Father. Speak to us this evening, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
So, we want to ask from our brethren who were physically present, what was your point of blessing? Those of us who were part of us last week? Okay, let's hear from our brother.
[Speaker 2]
Praise the Lord.
[Audience]
Hallelujah.
[Speaker 2]
I was blessed last week through the lesson, The Pathway to Rest. I was blessed because the spirit of the resting now I now my prayer life now changed. I now Lord, please, I now start praying. I now add to my prayer list or I now Lord, let me be a man of Your presence. Reveal Your glory in my life. As it is only in His presence that it is only in Him that can give us rest. It is only in Him we can have rest. The rest we are looking for is not another thing. Another thing I got and I really am still meditating in now is that Daddy said that David asked for one thing. And that one thing that he asked for gave him other things. He got other things. So, at times when we ask right or we are in His presence, other things we have been even worried for or may be our fear, God automatically can even be added. That is true. Thank you very much.
[Speaker 1]
Thank you very much. Any other person that has something to say? Okay.
[Speaker 3]
Praise the Lord. I was not physically present, but I was online with my family online. The scripture reference that we used that day, it was a prophetic scripture for us and for me and my family. Funny enough, I am in the kitchen shouting as if I were inside the church, just praying, crying to God. One of the things that struck me most was the fact that to every step David took, he make inquiry of the Lord. He never takes a step without enquiry of the Lord. I and my wife were trying to to look at the study again. And one thing struck us. We were like, David went for a battle and God said do like this. The same battle came again. He didn't assume that because God said I should do like this, let me do the same thing, maybe the same thing will work. The Bible said he went back to the Lord to make enquiry and God said don't go through like this, go now through like this. We concluded in our family that to every step we want to take, we must make enquiry of the Lord. Praise the Lord.
[Speaker 1]
Thank you very much. Wow. To every step we want to take.
[Speaker 4]
Yes. In addition to what others have said, to take a step, yes, we seek God. But I learned that in seeking God, it takes courage to step in the direction He is giving. That is true. We saw Isaac in the dry land and God says sow. And he didn't question it. He didn't look at the the skill of farming. Farmer in famine. But he did what God said he should do and he did it and that to me, that was a great courage. And that is what I have been crying for to God for my heart that God please, because there are some instructions God gives that look so foolish, so unrealistic. So how can? But I learned that it takes courage. It takes just being selfless. Self-abandonment like Esther, if I die, I die. If it works, it works to go in the direction of God. Praise the Lord.
[Speaker 1]
Hallelujah. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. We really appreciated those contributions. Honestly, the secret part to rest is just what we have been raising from the matter that we have raised. It is as simple as that. One thing have I desired of the Lord, Psalm 27:4, and that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord and that I may inquire in His temple. That is verse four.
And that chapter Psalm 27:4 was where what we were looking at to bring us back to verses one to three. But we went, by the time we took the reference in Genesis, we saw that the Lord wanted us to pray. So, we started praying. We started praying. And I am telling you, the Word of God is a double-edged sword. It cuts forth, it cuts back. I if I also tell you that my own life, who was even the sower that day, was also transformed. I I got back home and I entered into some directions of prayers again, honestly. Honestly. There is blessing in being a blessing. I don't know whether you get the point I am trying to make. There is blessing in being a blessing.
I began to understand more and more when James said the husbandman that laboreth is the first partaker of the fruit thereof. Honestly, it was it has been so different with me too. It has been so different. It has been if you know some step I have taken in the course of this week, some things I just said, okay, I am going to do, I am going to do this because at first I had been slow about it. But the more we enter into those prayers, the more I began to see God look, you need to be you must courageously follow what the Lord is telling you. And I believe that this year will be a year, despite the pandemic, it will yet be a year of harvest and a year of lifting in the name of Jesus Christ.
Now, we were looking at that verse four and I think I have been able to conclude that verse four that the matter of one thing. So David was I was saying that actually, when you look at Psalm 27, the verse four should be the verse one. Everything between verses one and three is as a result of the verse four. David in his life had been somebody who under God was seeking just one thing. That is why we have to go into the life of David from when he was a lad. When he faced Goliath, if you go and check it, that has been his life. Wanting to know the step God want him to take. So he said, "One thing have I desired and that will I seek after: to behold His beauty and to inquire in His temple."
Now, the consequence of that, as a result of that, David could say:
> The LORD is my light and my salvation.
> [Psalm 27:1]
So the verses one to three is as a result of the verse four that took place in his life. As a result of the verse four. Now, what David is saying is this: light and salvation. What is light? What is light? When you say I have light about something, what do you mean? Ordinarily when you say I have light about something? It means you have a revelation, that is true, or you have an understanding about something. How do we see light again? Light can mean revelation, it can mean understanding. How do we say I have light? Yes, I have been illuminated. That is still revelation. But it can still mean more than understanding. There is still more to light. There is still more to light.
It means I now have direction. You say, "Ah, what will you do now?" Say, "Ah, okay. Ah! I got a light of what I am to do." Am I correct? Am I correct? That is why you say when you are confused sometimes, you say I am in the dark. Am I not correct? You say, "Bro, so what are you going to do now? Sister, what will you do? Ah, I am even confused. I am just in the dark as to what to do." Immediately you know what to do, you say, "Now, I have light. I know what I want to do."
So you know what the psalmist is saying? We will take now from those references we took last week to now come back to this verses one to three. Now, let's take the case of that 2nd Samuel chapter five, chapter six, chapter seven, chapter eight, where David was anointed king that we made reference to last week. Now, he was anointed king. The Philistines came against him. He went into the temple to inquire. And he was told, "This is what you should do." He was able to see God. He was able to know what God want him to do.
So it means at first, he didn't know how to fight the battle. He didn't know which direction to take. He didn't understand the type of formation he should have. Do I need to go with the whole soldiers? Do I need to take some part of the army? Do we divide ourselves into different codes and come against them? How do we fight it? Like when you remember Joshua and Ai. Joshua took some, he left some. You know, when eventually they were to fight the battle later, God said like this, like this. So David wanted to know how the army should march out in battle.
So at first he was confused. But when he entered into the temple of the Lord to inquire, he got what? He got light. [Foreign language]. Wow! He now came to his soldiers. "This is how we are going to fight the battle. We are going to just go against them straight ahead." So, the Lord was his light. Now look at it. Because the Lord was the one who was his light, the Lord also rose up to fight for him. So, "The Lord is my light and my salvation." The Lord who gave him light, will also be the one to undertake for him. That is why we say that when God gives a vision, He also gives provision.
Once there is a vision and it is of God, what will happen? There will be provision for that vision. That is why Paul was saying in 1st Corinthians chapter nine, that no man go to war at his own expense. He was saying that, look, this thing that I am running, it's not about me. It was God that told me to do what I am doing. And you see as I go, I am not begging you to even give me anything because my God shall supply all my needs. Why? God being the light will also be what? The salvation.
So what we are trying to say is this: the secret path to rest is that when we learn to take instruction in His temple, it means for every battle, it will be you will hold your peace and the Lord will fight for you. You will hold your peace. So you will be at rest while the Lord will fight for you.
Let's look at that of Isaac that was the second reference. He wanted to go to Egypt. Egypt because of River Nile is always a watered area. River Nile come and so they all it's always green unlike the upper land that was Canaan. That is why when they want to go to Egypt, they Abraham went down. It's talking about the topography. You have to go if you want to go to Egypt, you must go down. This one is high, the other one is low. That is why some of some teachers believe that every turn towards Egypt is also spiritually going down because even physically you will be going down.
Now, Isaac was to go down to Egypt. But God became what? His light. "Don't go to Egypt. Stay in the famine. Sow in this land and I will bless you." Now, I want to ask you. When Isaac planted things inside famine, don't we understand that what made this to grow is not something physical? Because there is no way you can be sowing when there is famine and you are a farmer and you will be reaping an hundredfold. That is why the Bible say in that Genesis that we read, it says for the Lord blessed him.
So the matter of that harvest does not actually have a physical explanation. In other words, you need to understand this. When the Bible says:
> Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence for what you have not seen.
> [Hebrews 11:1]
He says:
> By faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God, so that the things that are seen are not created from the things which do appear.
> [Hebrews 11:3]
The abundance of Isaac was not from the things which do appear. It was framed by what? By the Word of God: "Sow in this land and I will bless you." And he sowed in that land. What happened? There was a blessing. It was framed. It was not framed by the things which do appear. It was the same thing, if you take your mind back to Apostle Peter, but Peter now before he became an apostle, when he was called by Jesus. When Jesus called him and Jesus was trying to say to at the point of the call what led to his following Jesus, he was told that he should cast his net to this side of the sea.
What was Peter's statement? He said, "I have toiled all night." Do you know what Peter was trying to say? "Lord, You need to understand something. I am not an I am not an amateur. I am a professional. Even though I look young, I have been doing this thing with my father. We didn't just start business. It started years ago. I am experienced in this business. The correct time to catch fish is in the night." All different kinds of fishes, they will come up in the night. So we go in the night to catch them.
It is like somebody who want to catch crab, plenty of crab during the day. Crab will be inside their holes in the day. If you come to around this area in the night, it is free for all, you will see them walking on the grasses, you will see them. But during the day, they have gone they have taken cover. Said, "Look, I have toiled all night and see, we didn't catch anything. If not that I just want to listen to Your word, I wouldn't have done this thing. But anyway, You said so."
You know how it would look like sometimes, if you have prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed about a matter, and you have prayed, you have fasted and there was no result. Then you just woke up one morning and God said, "Pray on this matter and go." You know what will first be in your mind? "Oh Lord, I have been on prayer and fasting for the past five years. There have been no result. What this just pray now and go." Or can you imagine where you have dropped application in different places? You have dropped and dropped and dropped and dropped your you have dropped and dropped and dropped and dropped. And all of them they were telling you, "Sorry, what you have is oh, for this type of job that you are looking for, we don't want somebody who does not have a polytechnic background. We want somebody who went to the polytechnic."
Then later, somebody now gave you a call to come and apply for another one. And you just said, "How many people have I?" He said, "So-and-so." He said, "Although most of them they have polytechnic background." He said, "Eh?" What will happen to you? You already discouraged. And then that morning just hear the Lord say, "Oya, go and apply." You know at first that was the experience of Peter. But I am trying to talk about the Lord is my light and my salvation.
Peter ended up casting the net to that side that he was told and then what happened? What happened that day was that was something that I don't think it has ever happened before in the history of Peter, being a fisherman. In all his experiences, because this time around, he needed to call his friends because their net was breaking. So I want to ask you. Those different kinds of fishes that came from different part of the sea and were just entering that net and were just entering the net and were just entering the net and were just entering the net and were just entering the net. May your life prosper as such in Jesus' name.
You know they were just entering that particular net. I want to ask you. Is it a natural phenomenon? That is why the Bible says:
> He that look at the wind or the cloud will not do what? Will not sow.
> [Ecclesiastes 11:4]
He will not sow. Because the matter is this: once the Lord is your light, if He is the one giving light, God is not somebody that only gives light. What happens to every light? There is a salvation. That is why Isaac reaped an hundredfold because the Lord blessed him. So the Lord was his light at the same time, he was his salvation. That is why we say among the Yorubas, *Oromoni she fayati*. That is God. That is what David was trying to say in this place. That the Lord is my light and my salvation. So in the verse four, he was just telling us how he came to this point in his life.
And I am telling you, brethren, this matter is the new is the you may say new, but it is not new. Just like when Apostle John was speaking. He said, "A new commandment I give you." Yet again, he said not really new. He said because it is also an old command that you should love one another. So when I say I am telling you this new thing, but in the reality it is not new. But it is a path that our generation has I don't want to say deliberately. God forbid we say deliberately. It would look as if they realized that they were doing it. No. They did not realize it. It was how would I put it now? Let me use this Pidgin English. It was with *kunnikunni*, *wayowayo* that the enemy pushed us, pushed us quietly, but deliberately, quietly, quietly, quietly, quietly, the enemy pushed us out of this path.
This secret path to rest. It was not that anybody just said, "Look, I don't want to follow God again. I want to lead my life myself." No. You will never said that. We will still be singing, "I need Thee, oh I need Thee, every hour I need Thee." But when it comes to our businesses, our career, our situation and circumstance, small small, look around now. Don't you see that's what Tunji did and he got it? If you do it, it will go well. You forgot that last year, you did it that way and it worked. "Okay, so it worked last year." That was the mistake David never he never made that mistake. Even though it was the same enemy, he knew that he need a fresh instruction.
I am experienced in this thing. I know how to do it. That is why I say sometimes in some situation, experience is a bad teacher although experience is also a good teacher. It all depends on the situation. Don't quote me wrong. But you know David could have relied on that former experience. Let me show you where it was a bad teacher. It was for Samuel. When Samuel was to anoint Saul, what did the Bible say about Saul? The Bible says:
> There was none as handsome and as tall as Saul in the whole of Israel.
> [1 Samuel 9:2]
And so he was anointed. When he got to that was in the house of Kish. This time when he got to the house of Jesse, and when Samuel saw Eliab and he saw the kind of beauty and "Surely." Where was "surely" coming from? The way Saul was anointed. May experience not push you out of the Lord. That is why sometimes when God is saying, "Forget the former things. I want to do a new thing." Some of us will still be clinging, "I have tried this thing many times. It did not work." [Foreign language] and it looks as if God is saying [Sound effects], and before you know, you quench the Holy Spirit.
When the Bible warned us, do not quench the spirit of God. But thank God that somehow God was gracious to him. And that is why many times I pray to God, "God, please be gracious unto me." The man got there. I don't know exactly what happened. Maybe he was trying to pour the oil, the oil was not coming out. I don't know exactly what happened. Maybe he poured the thing, "Ah, it doesn't come out! Ah!" And then, "Baba, what is the problem? What is going on?" Say, "Ah, sorry. I have rejected this one." For the Lord does not look as man sees. Man look at the outward appearance. Because God made that to be in the first one this time, say God searches the heart. Which means the reason why Saul was taken at first was not about the outward appearance. But that was the experience Samuel had and he thought it was by the outward appearance.
Am I? All these things they are written down for our learning. They are written down for us to know how to tailor our life. And so David was speaking from from that thing. He was speaking out of it. And I am telling you today, what I have come to discover is that with *wayowayo*, with *kunnikunni*, small small, small small, small small, small small, small small, small small, we have become too intelligent to be led by God. We have become too experienced to be instructed in the part to go.
We have become too too clever to follow the Lord's foolishness. You know when you are very very clever, it becomes difficult to follow foolishness because the Bible says the preaching of the gospel is foolishness. Just like our sister said, sometimes what the Lord will be asking you to do, the way He will be making you to do it will look foolish. And you will be wondering can there be a farm in famine? There can't be a farm in famine, Baba, calculate it well. There cannot be.
And as I raise this matter, I will take your mind back the case of of Jacob. I am just showing you the things that that came together as I was preparing for this message, things the Lord began to raise in my heart. I am just sharing them with you. Can you take your mind back to Jacob? Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, they were sojourners in the land of Canaan. Abraham, there was a famine. He was to go to Egypt. He went down, abandoning the altar, but he met with several things in that place. But thank God that he was able to find his path back to where he ought to be.
The Bible says:
> And there was a famine again as there was in the days of Abraham.
> [Genesis 26:1]
And Isaac too was to go. God said don't go. Sojourn inside this famine. So Isaac did not pick any Hagar. It was still Rebecca. There was no slave girl that became a problem. Later on, the third person in that journey was who? Was Jacob. Said He said:
> I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
> [Exodus 3:6]
Jacob received an instruction from who? No, from Joseph. Joseph sent chariots to go and pick Jacob and everybody that this famine will still continue for another seven years. And it's going to be a global problem like COVID-19 is a global issue today. "Don't stay in that place. Come over to me so that I can feed you in this famine." The Bible says Jacob, when he saw the chariot, when he saw the Egyptians, his spirit was revived that Joseph was alive, and then he began to go. But he was not settled. Are you aware? I I don't want to go into too much, but I will give you the references. You can go and check all of these references.
He was not settled. Why was Jacob not settled? Why was Jacob not settled? Jacob was not settled because he knew that it was a path that Abraham wanted to go and God told him don't go. Isaac was to go. God told him sojourn inside this famine. Sojourn in this place for in this place, I will establish the covenant with you, don't go. So for Jacob, this is a dangerous trip. I must not go up. I must not go up. He was going, but he was not settled.
Until they got to Beersheba. Please, I I want us to see that reference. I want us to read it. It is something I want us to read. I just want to show you something in that place about when Jacob got to that when Jacob got to that point. Genesis chapter 46, please somebody should take the mic and read from verse one. I just want to make reference to that. Genesis 46 from verse one.
[Brother]
And Israel took his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. Verse two, and God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here am I." Verse three, and He said, "I am God, the God of thy father. Fear not to go down into Egypt, for I will there make of thee a great nation." Verse four, "I will go down with thee into Egypt and I will also surely bring thee up again and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes." Verse five, and Jacob rose up from Beersheba and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. Verse six, and they took their cattle and their goods which they had gotten in the land of Canaan and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his seed with him.
[Speaker 1]
Thank you. Do you see what happened in that place? Do you see that when Jacob started the journey, he was not settled? He was afraid. What was his fear? Abraham went this way. Hagar was the problem. God brought him back to this place. Isaac was to go this way. God said don't go, dwell in this place for in this place, I will establish the covenant with you. Don't go. So Jacob was considering that if I go, will this covenant still be carried over? Will God be with me? Should I go? Hey! This offer looks tantalizing. Am I sure that it will not be my finisher? Am I sure it will not finish me like it finished Abraham? Am I sure?
So when he got when he got to Beersheba, the Bible says he offered sacrifice to the God of his father. What does that tell you? One thing have I desired of the Lord, and that will I seek after. He went to the Lord. Lord, Lord, *Oluwa*, this journey, this journey, am I this journey, this journey. Are we to go on this journey? This journey is to Egypt and we are going down. It is a journey down, it is not a journey up. It's a journey down, it is not a journey up. Lord, should we go to Egypt?
He said that night, the Lord spoke to him in a vision and said, "Jacob." And he said, "Here I am." He says, "I am the God, the God of your father." Do you see where the the issue is coming from now? "I am the one that led Abraham. I am the one that led Isaac. I am the same person. I am the one that have been leading you. Don't be don't be scared. Do not do not fear to go down." Do you see it? "Don't fear to go down." Why? Look at it. "For I will make you a great nation there." So, if you stay here, you will not become anything in life. If you stay where your father stayed, if you stay the way you are looking at it now, you will never become that nation. That nation that you are worried about, that nation that you are thinking about, it is not where I am going to do it with you. I am going to do it elsewhere. It is going to be there.
But look at the matter. Please look at the matter. We are looking at light and salvation. Look at the matter. What did God say in verse four? "I will go down." That is the matter. May we not go alone. That is where the matter is. That is where the matter is. One thing have I desired of the Lord, and that will I seek after. If only God can just help me that I can just be beholding His glory and be inquiring in His temple. If I can just get this one thing, I will solve all other battles, all other problems of life, I will solve them. With this one thing, I will win every other battle.
So the matter, you must make it clear. The matter is not about Canaan or Egypt. The matter is about where is the Lord? That is the matter. Where is the Lord? It is the same thing you will find about our redemption. When the Lord told them He told Moses, "Go and make a bronze serpent and place it on the pole. It shall come to pass if any man is bitten by the serpent, if he does what, if he look up, he will live." I just try to imagine somebody that was bitten by that serpent. Try to imagine it. And a person just [Sound effects] ran into the temple and began to pray. "Oh God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, You who brought us into this wilderness, I am holding to the horn of the altar. Save me, Lord, save me, Lord. I don't want to die by the bite of this serpent. I don't want to die." What will happen? He will die. No because that horn of the altar don't have power. But that is not where the Lord is.
That is not where the Lord is. Or take another scenario that somebody bitten by the serpent just ran [Sound effects] and then knelt before Moses. "Moses, lay your hands and pray for me. Pray for me, I am dying. Oh Moses, lay his hand!" And they began to pray. "Oh, right now, you will not die, you will not die." What will happen to that person? The person will die. Because that was not what the Lord instructed. The instruction is look up.
Ah! And if if you are to reverse it, if it was at the Lord said, "If anybody is bitten by the serpent, the person should run to Moses, and Moses should just lay his hand and there will be no problem." Where will the solution be? It will be in Moses. Telling you that there is nothing special about that serpent. What made it looks as if there is something about it is that the Lord said look at the serpent.
You see, I am saying all of this so that you can understand the context from which David was speaking. David was speaking from a depth of a fountain that he had experienced in life. He was speaking from a pool. He was talking from something that his eyes have seen, his hand has handled. He was speaking from that depth when he said, "The Lord is my light and my salvation." Because the matter is once we can inquire of the Lord, we can be in His temple and inquire of the Lord, and we can know the direction in which He is going, and we go in that direction in which the Lord is going, the Lord is not only going to be a light. He is also going to go with us. He is going to be a salvation.
And so you notice that Jacob cross it looks as if his life was going down, but the real sense of it, his life was going up. He didn't want to go down. But it is in going down that he will go up. So he went down. What make that down became a blessing was that the Lord went down with him. So the matter is not about up or down. It's about where the Lord is going. And so the Lord went down with them. And in that place, what happened to them in that place? They began to multiply, they began to multiply, they began to multiply, they began to multiply. They multiplied and multiplied and multiplied and multiplied that even the owners of the land became afraid. Hallelujah.
The owners became afraid and they began to think of how do we reduce them? The same thing that happened to Isaac. The Bible says Isaac grew, he became so prosperous that the Philistines envied him. They began to block all the water. [Foreign language]. How did you do it? The same thing with the Israelites. They grew so much that the Egyptians felt no, these people they will and they began to reduce them. But the more they reduced them, the more they multiplied. That their terror was on their they said, "Look, okay, this time around, we are going to we are going to deal with them subtly. Let's start killing the males." They now made a nasty work decree, "Kill the males and then leave the female." But even in the midst of that place, didn't they escape? Why? Because the Lord went down with them.
What am I trying to say? I am not saying that there is a path we take in the Lord where we will not meet with battles. But I am saying, if the Lord is your light, the battles will be won because He will be your salvation. There is no path in which the Lord will lead you that there is no battle. There are battles because the Bible says through many tribulation we shall enter into the kingdom of God. The way of the Lord led by His Father said, what the Father is doing what I am doing was much much much much much very very rough. Am I correct? Very very rough that he got to a point that he said, "My soul," he said, "exceedingly discouraged. Yet not as I will, Your will be done." That path was rough. And yet who was leading him? It was the Lord.
So we are not saying that when the Lord leads there will be no battle, there will not be challenges, things there will not be things that will make your heart to skip. Some things will happen, "Ah! Ah! How do I go? How do I go? What do I do?" But we are saying that any time the Lord is your light, what will happen? He will also be your salvation. But any time the Lord is not your light, how do you fight your battles? How do you fight your battles?
How do you conquer in the way? How do you get the victory? You see the the issue now is that just like the person who ran into the temple to hold the horn of the altar and was expecting a breakthrough, yet there will be no breakthrough because the matter is look up at the bronze serpent. We will be holding so many horns, so many things to escape, but we will not be escaping and so we will not find rest. We are talking about the secret path to rest. The secret path to rest is that the Lord is both the light and as a result, He is the salvation.
That is why he could boldly say further in that Psalm 27. Look at what he said further in that Psalm 27. Verse two, he says:
> The LORD is the strength of my life.
> [Psalm 27:1]
What does that mean? What does it mean? He is only repeating the same thing. When the Lord is the one who gives direction and gives instruction, He is our light and our salvation. When the Lord is the one that is doing that, He is also what? The strength of our life. You know what that means? I don't have strength in life for anything, but it is the Lord. When you see me get up that "Hehe! I want to do this! I have gotten strength!" Where did I get this from? From the Lord. It's the same he was just repeating the same thing in another way.
"Ah! Bro, *kilofeshe bayi*?" "Ah, *nkan bayi ni mofeshe*. Eh!" What gave you that strength? Bro, be sure it's not because there is money in your pocket to do it. It's not because a brother promised something. It's not because somebody is saying something. It is because the Lord you have inquired in His temple. You have inquired in His temple. You have inquired in His temple. That was what I was trying to show you with Jacob. Joseph had come. They have sent all the provision. But he wanted to be sure it is the Lord's provision. Because he knows with all the chariot of Egypt, if God don't go down with them, it's going to be a different story.
And you will notice, the Lord who went down with them, just like He promised, "I will bring you up again." What did He do? He brought them later out up again. So the Lord is the strength of my life. And that is the intelligence I am talking to you about. I am going to call a new intelligence, but it is not really new. We need this intelligence today to run life. Today life has become so uncertain. Today life has become so risky. There have been risk, but don't forget because the Bible says:
> Evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse.
> [2 Timothy 3:13]
Things are getting darker and darker. Such that the intelligence we need to run life today, this is the intelligence. Except we enter this path, we will not know rest.
Everything is just shaking. Everything is shaking today. Please, what is not shaking? Formerly you will think that, "Ah, just make it to US, it will be well." When COVID-19 came, those in the US were running back to Nigeria because Nigeria climate was safer. And you see all of them are rushing back, rushing back, rushing back, rushing back.
I was reading a write-up when Trump came up between America and Mexico. You know the wall that he told them to build. They build that wall so that people of Mexico cannot cross into the US. You get it? But when coronavirus came, the rate in the US is far ahead of that of Mexico. So Americans were trying to enter into Mexico. The people of Mexico were now the one that stood by the wall. Americans built the wall, but the people of Mexico stood by the wall so that Americans will not cross to their side and bring coronavirus.
Formerly America was telling them you should not enter into America because it was a more prosperous economy. Now Mexicans are stay by the wall, "No! You this wall that you built, we help you to police it. Please stay in that side, don't bring coronavirus to our side." I am trying to make you see that the unshakable shall be shaken. The unmovable shall be moved. The untouchable shall be touched so that God can be glorified. He said once again, "I am going to shake the heavens and the earth." So that all shakables will shake away so that the unshakable will be left. And I am telling you, the only anchor that is unshakable is the Lord.
We have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure when the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. Oh we have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll. Fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love.
That is the rock that cannot move. It's the rock that cannot move. It's that rock that cannot move. It's that rock that cannot move. Everything is shaking, and I am telling you, this is the secret path to rest. This is the intelligence that we need today. This is the new intelligence I am offering to you, brethren. The secret path to rest where the Lord is our light and the Lord is our salvation.
Look at what he said:
> Though an army encamp against me...
> [Psalm 27:3]
Let there be COVID-19, let there be whatever. Though an army encamp against my business, they encamp against what I want to do. Even though something is rising, there is an encampment, there is fear, there is death. Say even though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Why? The Lord is my light and the Lord is my salvation.
Why why are you not afraid about this your business? Because the Lord said I should do it. Bro, are you not afraid? Do you know that this is happening, that is happening? No, I am not afraid because it is the Lord who said. Bro, are you not thinking you shouldn't do this, you do? Say no, I am not doing this or that. This is the one I want to do. Why? Because the Lord is my light. He said, "Though war rise against me, in this I will be confident."
I have explained verse four. Verse five, he said, "In the time of trouble, He shall hide me in His pavilion." When the Lord is your light and your salvation, when the trouble comes, when the trouble comes, when the trouble comes, what will the Lord do? The Lord will hide you. He will hide you. He will hide you somewhere until the evil is past, until the problem is gone, until the death is over. The Lord will hide you. He will hide you somewhere.
He said, "In the secret place of His tabernacle, He shall hide me. He shall set me high upon a rock." In the time of trouble, He will hide me in His shelter. In the secret place of His tent, He shall hide me. He shall set me upon a rock. And now, my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me. In His tent, I shall offer sacrifices of praise, and I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. He shall set me up high upon a rock. He will hide me where I cannot be reached. You cannot be reached. Why? Because He's your light and your salvation.
As I round up today, I will take you I will take your mind quickly to this matter of the rock because we are looking at the rock that is that rock that cannot move. All other rock, the Bible says our rock is not like their rock. Our rock is the Rock of Ages. Our rock, He said I lay in Zion a stone, a rock, a rock for of offense. He that fall upon this rock shall be broken. Or upon this rock shall fall, shall be grounded into powder. Says the Lord is that rock. He is that rock.
And that rock is not like their rock. Anyone that fall upon that rock shall be broken. And if that rock happens to fall on anyone, that thing shall be grounded into powder. And what is that rock? Jesus speaking in Matthew chapter seven. He who hear My word and do it, I will liken him to a wise man that is building upon what? Upon rock. He who hear My word, he who hear My word, he who hears My word, he who hear My word, he who hear My word, he who can hear Me, he can hear Me say something. He can inquire in My temple, and I am speaking something, and that person can do it. If that person is doing it, that person is building on a rock. He said the rain will come, the wind will blow, it will beat upon that house, but that house cannot fall. Why? Because it was founded on the rock.
May you build upon this rock. That rock is the Lord. That rock is His word. It's that eternal Rock of Ages. It's that rock that must cleft for you. It's that rock that must cleft for you. It's that rock, it's that rock, it's that rock of ages. It's that rock that is not like every other rock. It's that rock we can run into. It's that rock in which we can take refuge. That is the Lord. He who hear My word and do it. He who hears My word and do it. That is the man. That is the man who builds on the rock. That is the man who is building to last. That is the rock. He said in Zion this rock. This rock has been set in Zion.
Brother, this rock is in Zion, and you are in Zion. This rock is in Zion. The Lord is speaking in Zion. On Mount Zion, on Mount Zion, the Lord is speaking. We have come unto this Lord. The rock is in Zion. This Word of God, the Lord want to lead us. The rock has been set in Zion. You are in Zion, brother. You are in Zion, sister. The rock is in Zion. The rock is in Zion. The rock is in Zion. [Foreign language]. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jehovah. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Jehovah. Thank You, Jehovah. Thank You, Mighty God. Thank You, Everlasting Father. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be Your name. Hallelujah.
Will your anchor hold in the storms of life? When the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the strong tide lift and the cable strain, will your anchor drift or remain firm?
We have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll. Fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. Oh we have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll. Fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. Oh we have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll. Fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love.
It's the rock that cannot move. It's the rock that cannot move. It's that rock that cannot move. It's that rock that cannot move. Everything is shaking, and I am telling you, this is the secret path to rest. This is the place. It's that rock. When the Lord is your rock, when He is the one instructing the way, when He is the one telling you do this, do this, no don't do this, do like this, do like this. You are building on a rock that cannot move. You are building on a rock that cannot move. That's what David was saying.
That is why David could say, when the wicked came against me to eat my flesh, my enemies and my foe, they did what? They stumbled and they fell. What made them to stumble and fall? The Lord. There will be challenges, there will be problem, there will be this and that path. But whatever is in that path, what will happen? Those things they will stumble before you, they will fall. Not because you are so strong, but because the Lord is the one that leads the way.
Because He's the one that leads the way. That is why the psalmist could say, even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil. Why? For Thou art with me. I am telling you the intelligence today that can make us to be solid. There is so much fear today. There is so much shaking today. Things are crumbling. Careers are failing. Business are crumbling. Strong economy are shaking. Strong nation are afraid. Then where the place of Nigeria? Nigeria that is even when things were okay, Nigeria was so weak. Where the place for Nigerians if you don't run into the Lord?
I am telling you the secret path to rest at a time like this when everything is crumbling. The secret path to rest. This is the intelligence that we need today. This intelligence we need this intelligence. This is the new intelligence I am offering to you, brethren. The secret path to rest where the Lord is our light and the Lord is our salvation.
Look at what he said. Though an army encamp against me. Let there be COVID-19, let there be whatever. Though an army encamp against my business, they encamp against what I want to do. He said He will hide me in His pavilion. Look at what he now said: "In the secret place of His tabernacle, He shall hide me. He shall set me high upon a rock. He shall set me up high upon a rock." When the Lord is your light and your salvation, ah! What will happen is that in the time of trouble, the Lord will hide you. He will hide you somewhere.
It shall set me high upon a rock. He will hide me where I cannot be reached. You cannot be reached. Why? Because He's your light and your salvation. As I round up today, I will take you I will take your mind quickly to this matter of the rock because we are looking at the rock that is that rock that cannot move. [Praying in tongues]

Oh our anchor, we have come to say thank you. For Your word, thank you. That word that cannot fail. That word that cannot wither. That word that standeth forever. Thank you for sending this word to our direction again. Thank you for the healing via Your word. Thank you for deliverance by Your word. Thank you, Father, for showing us the light. Thank you, Father, for showing us the path. Thank you, Father, for showing us our direction. Lord, we appreciate You. Take all the glory, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we have come again to cry to You and we ask that indeed You will be our anchor. That You will keep our soul, steadfast and sure in the name of Jesus Christ. Be our anchor in this season, in this generation, and in this area in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, as we go, we ask that You will go with us. That no longer will we take a step that You will not be there. That no longer will we go in a direction that You are not there. In the name of Jesus, that as we make inquiry of You day to day, You will answer us. You will show us the light and You will be our salvation in the name of Jesus.
Lord, to Your servant that You have used, Lord, we pray grace. Grace. We pray that You will keep him fresh, ever fresh in anointing, in revelation, in mystery, and in depth in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Precious Daddy.
Lord, we pray for every of our brethren that are online listening, Lord, the same grace, the same word. Because there is no distance in the realm of the spirit. Lord, the Bible said You sent forth Your word, the same way You have sent forth Your word to them. Lord, let that be the same effect, the same testimony in the name of Jesus.
Thank You, Precious Daddy. As we go, we go in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Thank You, Precious Daddy. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forever. Amen.
