[singing]
Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah.
We thank our God again for his great mercies that have brought us into today, I think that should be the 8th day of December for our discipleship class; and we trust God again that as we all gather together, it will be a time again of refreshment, it will be a time of visitation, it will be a time again that we'll be encountering the Lord afresh and anew in the name of Jesus Christ. Let's take this song just once or twice and then we go into the exposition of scriptures for today.
[singing]
Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory be to God in the highest. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah. For his mercy endureth forever. Amen. Hallelujah.
Almighty God, to you be all the glory. To you be all the honor. To you be all the praise. We thank you as we gather again unto you this evening. Our God, we pray that you will speak to our hearts in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we pray there will be an entrance of your word. There will be seed for the sower. There will be bread for the eater in the name of Jesus. Lord, we pray, cause that our soul will be enabled by your spirit to lay hold on you this evening in the name of Jesus. Thank you, everlasting Father. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
So, we want to pick the matter from where we left it last week. Last week, we were able to come to the last verse in 1 Corinthians 1. 1 Corinthians 1, where we saw that actually the reason why the wisdom of God is the way the wisdom of God is, the reason why God in his wisdom made it that man should not find God by their wisdom, is that the glory of God is the wisdom of God is founded on God's glory. The glory of God must not be shared. The glory of God must not be touched. The glory of God must not be given to any other thing apart from God. So, so that the glory of God can be only and only to God, the Bible says God so ordained it, God so fashioned it in his manifold wisdom, that man should never find God by man's wisdom.
So, we saw that core that we were looking at last week. We saw how God did the thing in Gideon. When 32,000 gathered, God said no. These people will not give the glory to me. They won't give me the glory. So, he told Gideon, "Announce: whoever is fearful or just married or just built a house, let the person go back home." It remained 10,000. God still said no. If I work this way, my glory, the glory will still not come to me. Man will take the glory. So, God pushed it further. Gideon was at loss, he didn't know what to do again. How will I reduce the army? God said, "Don't worry. I will test them for you." God, you can see the wisdom of God. God brought them to the stream and God told Gideon, "Everybody who puts his face into the river to drink, set those ones apart. Everybody who uses his hand to take water up and then take it to the mouth, set them apart." And we found out that 9,700 put their face into the water to drink, while only 300 looked up while they are taking the water. And God said, "Okay, set them apart." And we said that shows you a very important thing. That in the wisdom of God, it is the watchful. The watchful. Watch and pray.
Watch, be careful. When men are singing your praise, be watchful. When it looks as if everywhere you go there is miracle, be watchful. When it looks as if everybody is running after your message, be watchful. In God's wisdom, watchfulness is a very, very critical thing in the wisdom of God. When you look like though you're the only one that wins every argument, be watchful. You may be winning argument, but you may not be on the side of God. You may be winning argument and yet you are losing people. You are breaking relationships, you're scattering things. So, it's good to be watchful. And we saw that with watchfulness, God separated 300 to himself. And at that time, Gideon has lost all hope of winning that battle. Then God now said, "Okay, if you are afraid to go and fight that battle, go to the camp of the Midian. You will hear what they are saying." And when Gideon heard what they were saying, courage now came back to him. So, Gideon himself will know that it was not me who fought the battle. That is what God, that is the wisdom of God. That's what you call God's wisdom to make sure that the glory comes to him. And that is why God has designed that even though all our intelligent, our five senses, our academics, our study, our education, they are needed to engage God, they are useless in finding God.
They are useless in finding God. It's just God's way of doing it. They are useless in finding God. Once you begin to trust in those things, you will never find God. You will never find God. And then I said when I'm starting this week, I will first make reference to Paul, Apostle Paul, or maybe I should even conclude with Apostle Paul. The Lord will lead us. There is a matter about Paul and there is a matter about the origin of man's wisdom. The origin of man's wisdom. Let's take our journey to Genesis. Let's go to Genesis. Let's go and see things for ourselves there. Let's see what the Bible says.
Genesis 1. In Genesis 1, this is a very familiar story. We saw the first creation story. The first creation story. You know there are two creation stories. The first creation story, the second creation story. But you can also call all of them the way me I like it, is to call it the order of creation and the workmanship of creation. Order other than creation, looking at there are two stories in creation. It's just one story, actually. But Genesis 1 tells us the order. What God did the first day, the second day, the third day, the fourth day, the fifth day, sixth day, and then the seventh day he rested. How God did the different day, the order in which they were done.
Chapter 2 now tells us the workmanship. How God did it. How it was done. That's what Chapter 2 tells us. And in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, when you look at them, they give us different insight about man. In Chapter 1, we want to look at the origin of human wisdom. That's what we want to look at. The origin of human wisdom. And then you notice that in Genesis 1, we saw that on the sixth day, that is around verse from verse 24, where God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creation after its kind."
Genesis 1:24. "After its kind and creeping things after its kind." And then he says that livestock, everything were created according to his kind and it was so. We notice God was noticing that from verse 3 where creation started up to verse 24 where things were being made, I want you to note that in all of these things, God was speaking. He was speaking. "Let there be light," there was light. "Let the earth bring forth grass." "Let the sky, let birds fly in the sky," it was so. "Let the sea, let the water bring forth creation," and it was so. Different things were coming. And then in the verse 24, 25 too, it was the same thing. God said, "Let the earth bring forth all kinds of livestock," and it was so. All creations came forth. Now when it came to 26, the making of man, we notice that God did not say, "Let there be man."
God didn't say, "Let there be man." Rather, God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over everything that God created." So, we notice that when it came to man, unlike the other creation, we got the story better in Chapter 2. That when God said, "Let us make man in our image," God first molded a cadaver from the sand or from the dust of the earth. God gathered and made cadaver. Cadaver means a dead body. So, he made a cadaver, something that was a dead body. After that has been made, God now went ahead and then there was the breath into the cadaver. The cadaver now became a living being. Says and so man became a living soul. Now, it is that breath that separate man from all other animals. That breath, the breath of God.
The other animals were created merely by the word of God. For man, God spoke and there was also a breath. Now, you notice that when God was making man, we are trying to look at the origin of man's wisdom. When God was making man, two important things came very clear about man unlike all other creation. Number one, in Genesis 1, the first thing is that man was created in the image of God. Is that not? We said that in Chapter 1. Man was the only creation that was so made in the image of God. And not only that, the Bible also says after our likeness. So, man was in the image of God and man was in the likeness of God. I don't know whether you get what is going on here. What is going on here was that if something is in your likeness, that is why we said Adam is the only man that did not grow into a man.
You get it? He didn't grow. He was a man. He was a full grown person. He didn't need, there was no need to grow because at that beginning, it was in the image and in the likeness. He was a grown person. Now, when God made him, we have a clear understanding that he was in the image of God, he was in the likeness of God. And the purpose for making him was also very clear. He was created to help God take charge of everything. "Let them have dominion over everything." So, it's like God have made everything and God needed somebody to take charge. Why? Why? Because God is a bodiless spirit. God was not as God is an entity that no man can see. God is not real, I like the word of Jesus: God is spirit. That's the way to put it. God is not flesh. God is spirit.
Now, but what he had made, they were made to be things that have God's spirit, but they have a body. They have body, they are and then, but more importantly, is that the way God created those things is that they were created to exist in time while God don't exist in time. God exist in timelessness. God created time by making sun and moon. So, for season, for days, for months, so God don't live in time. So, God needed someone that will live in time, that will be like him, to stand on him and manage everything in time. And honestly, that is so wonderful. But because time came out of timelessness, it was not designed that man will die or anything will die because what created them was life. Life was to continue like that. That was the design. But I want to show you something.
He said God made man in his image after his own likeness. Is that not? We said that in Chapter 1. He was also made in the likeness of God. But there is something, there is a way in which man is not like God. He was in the image of God, he was in the likeness of God, but there is a way in which he's not in the image and that likeness. And that way in which he's not in the image and in that likeness is that the Bible say God said, "Behold, man has become like one of us, in knowing good and evil." So, the original man that was created, he was in the image of God, he was in the likeness of God, but there is something that he does not have.
What does he not have? What does he not have? Let us try different translation. Let me open my multi-translation Bible here. What is it that man do not have? I want us to look at it closely. Let's try different translation of that Genesis Chapter 3 verse 22. NKJV says, "Then the Lord God said, 'Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live forever.'" NLT, "Then the Lord God said, 'The people have become as we are.'" Are you seeing it? So, even though he was in the image of God, he was in the likeness of God, there is something in which man was not like God. You see, the people have become as we are. What is that thing? Knowing everything, both good and evil.
So, man was in the image of God, man was in the likeness of God, but there was a knowing that was not in man. I'm talking about the origin of man's knowing. Origin of man's wisdom. So, the origin of man's wisdom, are you seeing something? That it was not in creation. Are you following what I'm trying to discuss? It was not in creation. This knowing, he said he has become able to know good and evil. That knowing of good, evil, that ability. When he say do not be wise in your own eyes, that thing was not at creation.
It was not at creation. It's important for us to trace this thing. So you will be understanding why God is making that thing foolish. Because originally, can I announce to you, if not that your life became virus infected, you don't need it. You don't need it. It was a virus attack. So, every time you're operating on it, you are operating the effect of a virus. You are not your original. You're operating, I don't know whether you understand me. Maybe someone has built a particular robot. And that robot is supposed to be able to, when it is going, to be going [tapping sound]. It can do so every other thing. But that robot don't have affection to be able to love or not love. There is no hatred or those things in it. It's just working and working and working because it's a robot. Then suddenly, you now find the robot showing affection for your daughter. You know something is wrong. That the robot is not working the way it was designed.
Something has gone wrong. That's what I'm trying to tell you. That something went wrong with your life, that is the resource of that your wisdom. Now, so we are trying to see that originally, man, when God was designing man, he was not designed in a way that he knows good and evil. He was not designed, that knowing was not there. That's the first thing I want us to see. It wasn't there. Because in the Chapter 3, this is not trying to, like I do tell people, don't assume what the scriptures is not say. We are not assuming anything here. This is clearly written. It is clearly written that God said, "See oh, there is a problem with man. He has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Lest he stretch his hand and eat the tree of life, let's drive him out." Separate from where he was before. That was where he was living. God planted that garden and placed him there.
So, but now, God is seeing a reason why he can no more be there. So something was wrong. That's what I want to make you see. Something was wrong. So, it is not like trying to assume anything. It is clear that when man was created and he was fit to be in the garden, to have access to all the tree, to eat any one, to do anything with all of them, because the Bible says the tree of life was in that garden. And God was not intimidated. God was not asking to drive the man out. The tree of life was at the center of the garden, the tree of knowledge of good and evil was there. And I noticed that what God said is, "Don't eat of this one, every other one you may eat." It appears to me as if man was eating the tree of life before. I really don't want to go into that debate. But what I'm trying to say was that the only restriction we knew at the beginning was, "Don't eat this one, of the knowledge of good and evil." That was the one he said of every other tree you may eat.
But of this one, of knowledge of good and evil, do not eat. The day you eat, you will die. And we notice that when they ate that, God now said, "Ah, man will now eat this tree of life in this state and he will live forever in this state. He was to live forever before now. He was not designed to die. So he should be eating that tree to be living forever. But in this state, he should not be forever again." I don't know whether you get the point I'm trying to bring out. Because you notice again that by the time we come back to Revelation, please look at that in Revelation. I'm just trying to compare scriptures with scriptures. We are trying to look at the origin of human wisdom. And I'm trying to make you see that brothers, sisters, you don't need it. You're the one that think you need it to survive. You don't need it to survive. You don't need it.
You don't need it. Hallelujah. It was not at creation. All you need to survive is to be eating the tree of life. You don't need the other one to survive. You don't need it. Now, when you look at Revelation, Revelation 22, please let's quickly go there. Revelation 22. We are trying to look at the origin of human wisdom. And I'm trying to explore these things one by one and please brethren, by the time we are through with this topic, I don't know whether we'll finish it this December or January, I would really want us to have time for question and answer. To look at all of these things again and ask ourselves question and learn one from another.
Look at Revelation 21, 22. I want you to see something, something very, very vital that I noticed here. Revelation 21:22. But I saw no temple in it. No, not chapter and verse. We want to read both Chapter 21 and Chapter 22. But we'll be skipping some verses. Okay, so maybe I should do the reading since I will know what we want to skip. But when we get to some point, do you have the same translation too there? Oh, good. We will read several translation. In 21 verse 1, what did we see? Says, "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth has passed away. The sea was no more." So we're still going to have, in that one that we are going, there will be no sea. How big, how big will the earth look like? You know water is two-third. Earth is very small. So the earth will become very, very big. It'll become very, very big. Now, but look at something.
He says, "And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and he will dwell with them and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.'" Now, look at the next thing. God himself will be with them as their God. He says, "He will wipe away every tears from their eyes and death shall no more, there shall be no more death, of course no more morning, crying, all of things they are gone. All of things are passed away. Isn't it?" Verse 5, "He who sits who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Also he said, 'Write down these things for they are trustworthy and true.' And he said, 'It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty, to the thirsty, I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.'" So there is a water of life.
That's what I want to call your attention to. There is a water of life. I don't know which water they were drinking at that place, but there was a water of life. Now, let's move on. I'm going somewhere about the tree of life. "The one who conquers will have this heritage and I will be his God and he will be my son." So are you getting something? So the reason why there is water and we are drinking water here is because in the new heaven, there is water. The water of life. There is a water that gives life. And you see it on the day water is life. 70% of your body is water. So there is something about water. And you still see one of the point I'm trying to make you see that everything you look around you, it's unfortunate, we don't understand that the things that are seen, they are made from the things that are not seen. The origin of everything you see then what is the things that are not seen.
So, there is a water of life that we are going to in the new heaven and the new earth. Now, we move on. He now talks about sorcerers, idolaters, we don't need that then the seven plates and all those ones. I don't need that. Carried me in the spirit. I want us to go to where it took John to the New Jerusalem, where he saw the wall of the city, the gate of the city, the foundation, how it looks like, the stadium, everything, the measurement, the beauty, all of those ones, you know. I want to move to verse 22. "And I saw," please note something here. "And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God, the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to give, to shine on it, for the glory of God gives its light and its lamp and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gate will never be shut and there will be no night there."
So what are you noticing about eternity? So you don't count day one, day 2, day 3, day 4. It's just you are not growing old, you're not growing young, it's just no season, no time, nothing again. What was doing that thing was the sun and the moon. I hope you are following this thing. We are going somewhere, we want to show the origin of the wisdom of man. I'm trying to draw our attention to something. Verse 26, "They will bring their glory into it and the honor of the nations." Then he says, "Nothing unclean will enter into that place." Now in 22, the last chapter, the last chapter, you see then the angel, the angel showed me the river of the water of life. So you can see why there was why there are rivers on earth.
Now, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Now through the middle of the street of the city, also on either side of the river, the tree of life with its 12 kinds of fruit, yielding each fruit each month, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. So I began to wonder. In the new heaven and the new earth, what are we being healed from again? So it may not be healing as you're looking at healing. But what he's saying here is that something that sustains life. Not healing as in sickness, because he has said there will be no sickness, there will be no death. So there is nothing like that again. Those things are passed away. So the healing here is not as if you are sick, you want to take healing. But that it keeps you fresh all. You are living on. You get the point that we are making? Now, I'm trying to make you understand God planted a garden and placed man there and said be eating everything.
If he were to be eating everything, there would have been no death. Adam would have been alive today. Eve would have been here with us. Everybody would have been here with us. We will still be inside that garden. Everything will be going on. That's what I'm trying to make you see. That it was a miniature of what was in heaven that was on earth. So he says for the healing of the nations. 22 verse 3, "No longer will there be any curse, for the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it and his servant will worship him. They will see his face and his name will be on their forehead. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for God will be the light and they will reign forever and ever." Now look at something. Look at something. Please. He's now talking about the coming of Jesus. He now said from the verse 6, he said to me these words are trustworthy and true. The Lord and the spirit of the prophets has sent me to show you these things for the churches, behold I am coming soon. He who keeps my word, the book of this prophecy. I, John, I saw these things. But he said to me you must not do that when he wanted to worship the angel. Don't worship me. And he said to me do not seal up the word of this prophecy of the book. Let him who is evil, let the person be evil still. The person who is filthy, be filthy still, and all of that.
Now, please, look at something. Look at something. Verse 14. "Blessed are those who wash their robes so that they may have right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gate. Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, sexually immoral. I, Jesus, have sent my angel with this fight to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright and morning star." Now, look at what he now says in concluding the matter. He says, and he testify and he who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."
Now, I want to ask you, what exactly, what exactly did Jesus die when he died to save us, to make us clean? What did he give us right back to? To the tree of life and the water of life. Are you getting something? Why were we denied tree of life and water of life? Because we know. Because we now know. We are now like God who knows good from evil. And in that state, we can never live forever. We cannot be like God again. We cannot have eternal life. We cannot reign forever. We should not be eternal in that state. Because we don't need that thing to live eternally.
He came to give us eternal life. And we don't need it to live eternally. So, all that Christ came to do is so that we can have right again back to now live eternally. So by the time we want to live eternally, what would have happened to us? We would have dropped the virus. We would have dropped that knowing. We will not have needed it. It would not have been needed. It would not have been something that we need again. So, what I'm trying to call your attention to is that there is something about this wisdom, therefore. There is something about this wisdom. How then did it originate?
Where did it come from? How did we get it? We got it at the beginning of Chapter 3 where there was a devil. I don't know whether you are seeing something now. There was a devil. Or there is a devil, whichever you want to put the story. And then he came to them, "Did God say you should not? Did God say?" And then there was conversation, this and that. And then he said, "No, the day you eat this thing you will not die." Look at the statement he made. Let's go to Chapter 3, Genesis Chapter 3. Please let's go back there. Genesis Chapter 3. Look at the statement he made. Genesis 3. Are you there?
I want to read from verse 4, "But the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die.'" What did God tell them? "The day you eat, you will die." What did the serpent say? "You will die? Where is death? There is no death anywhere. What is there that God is preventing you from?" Look at it, verse 5, "For God knows," so there is a knowing that is in God that is not with man. There is a knowing that is in God that is not with man. Are you seeing it? There is a knowing that is in God. "For God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened." Is that not a truth? Is that not true? They didn't know that. God knows that.
Are you getting something? So there was something that they were limited from. There was something that they were exempted from. They were in abundance. It was God who ran around to give Adam a wife. It was God that was the one providing everything. There was no sorrow, there was no death, there was no pain. There was nothing to enjoy all that of God, there is something that they don't need. Once that something comes to them, then God will have to withdraw everything they have. I'm showing you something about the glory of God.
I'm showing you something about the glory of God. That's why we see, that's why we left the matter. And I'm showing you the origin. Why there is this God's concern for his glory. That I am the maker of all things. You made nothing. You're only enjoying what I made. And that is the reality. That is something that God did. And God knows there is something God knows that they don't know and they don't need to know. But the devil. And that is why when people say that he's a foolish man, he's a stupid man, I just laugh. Devil is not stupid, oh. Devil is not foolish.
You see, devil has a knowing. Satan, the serpent has a knowing. There is a knowing in him. It is just that that knowing, again, that is limited. Because if he fully knows, he won't have crucified Jesus. He wouldn't have crucified Jesus. So, what I'm trying to make you see is that God is smarter than the smartest. Satan thinks he's smart, but God is still smarter than the smartness of Satan. For you to know that God acknowledges the smartness of Satan, he said, "Be wise as serpent." So there is a wisdom of serpent. Crafty wisdom. The craftiness of that wisdom is that it offers delusive dreams. It offers delusive dreams. Look at what he told Jesus. Just bow down and worship me, all this glory I will give you, as if it is so. Delusive dreams. Something about that wisdom is that it is a wisdom that fascinates, that attracts through the offer of that which is not real. But everything about it is fascinating. Everything will look very real until you touch it. Once you touch it, you will now see that it is empty. It is vanity. It is vain.
Now, God told them, "The day you eat this thing you will die." Satan said, "You cannot die. What actually will happen is that your eyes will be open." And when Satan made that statement, was Satan telling a lie? No, so it was a knowing. It was true. Something that is true, but not the truth. Sarah is my sister. It's true. Is it not true? Is it not true? Sarah is my sister. Is it not true? But that thing that is true was said to hide away the truth. I'm showing you the operation of Satan. So if you are thinking that Satan will be telling lies, you are missing the point. No. He tells what is true, what you will see as fact, but to hide away reality. Fact is not reality. It's a fact, what he said is a fact. What he said is true. But it is hiding away reality. He said, "Your eyes will be open." Will their eyes not be open? It will be open. Now, look at it. "You will become like God." Is that a lie? It's not also a lie. They will become like God. Knowing good from evil. Is that a lie? No. But once their eyes are open and they know good from evil, the reality is that they are already dead.
That is what was hidden away from them. The reality, God told them the reality. So God is real. God is the truth. God is the truth. The reality, "Your eyes will be open." God did not tell them their eyes will be open. He didn't tell them that you'll become like me. He didn't tell them all of that. He said, "Look, the implication, the reality, other things are mirage. Those things that look attractive, that looks like wow. The reality of all of that is that you won't be able to have life. I am the only one who can be like that and still have life. I'm the only one. I'm the only one who can be like that and still be alive." Satan knows that.
So, you notice something very critical. That the wisdom of God, we say it is hidden wisdom. But what we mean by hidden wisdom is that it just speaks reality. It may not be attractive. It may not be fascinating, but it's reality. But there is another wisdom that is fascinating, that is attractive, that is alluring. But it's delusion. And that is why you notice scripture saying, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean." Don't lean. Because there is something about understanding. When man was at his best, fascination and attractiveness got him even when he was at his best. Not to talk of we that are born in sin. You know Adam was not conceived in sin. Adam was not conceived in sin. He came in the image of God, he came in the likeness of God. So he didn't grow. It is like unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. That was Adam. There was no from baby to toddler, from toddler to there was nothing like that. He was a full man and he was taking a wife immediately. He was good. That was what he was. So he was not conceived in sin, he was conceived in God. Yet being conceived in God, a wisdom that is fascinating, a wisdom that is alluring, but yet delusive, it offers delusive dreams: you will not die. It could take man.
Now how do you now look at man that is conceived in sin? That grows in sin? And at a point now met with Jesus? And you're asking him to transform his mind? Adam don't have a mind to transform. There was no mind for Adam to transform. He has the mind of God. So that thing that is making you, that thing, it is that thing that is in you now. That is your wisdom. That is your wisdom. Your wisdom is fascinating. It builds big, and big, and big ambition. It can build castles. It can imagine this, imagine that, imagine that. It doesn't even think that tomorrow it can just die. He just builds, what I get this, get this, get this. Bam! I just become this! Bam! He's just building. Delusion. That's your wisdom. That's human wisdom. That is where it came from. That was the source of it.
That was how it originated. That was where it came from. You will not die. You will be like God. God did not tell them you will not die. God did not tell them your eyes will be open. God did not tell them you will become like me. God just tell them the day you eat it you will die. There is no need for allusion. There's no need for delusion. There's no need for attraction. I am real. But do you notice that what catches you more is packaging? Package it well. Once you package it well, everyone, "Ah, that man!" inside may not be real. There is something about the human wisdom. I've showed you today the origin. When we meet next week, I will tell you the wheel upon which it operates. The wheel upon which these things operate. But I've showed you the source. That's where it is flowing from. That is where it is coming from.
When you understand that, you will be afraid to rest on it. You will become afraid of yourself. You cannot, you will now be understanding why some men will not, will say, "God, until you speak, I will not be able to do anything." Because they understand that it is the word which he speaks to them that is spirit and life. Until God speaks, there is no life. You will become afraid to go by what you are thinking! Because you know that the origin, the origin of this thing ever from the origin, it has always taken us out of abundance into lack. It has taken us away from peace into bondage. It has taken us from eternal life into eternal death. It is the source of our sicknesses. It is the source of our poverty. It is the source! So why will I want to lean on this thing? Why will I want to rest on it when I can understand that the source was against me? Was the source not against you? Look at what Eve said. Please, look at what Eve said. That's what I'm going to close with now. Chapter 3, Genesis Chapter 3. Are you there?
Look at it around verse 13, "And the Lord said to the woman, 'What is this that you have done?'" What was her answer? The woman said, "The serpent deceived me and I ate." Please, I want to ask you, when she was eating was she feeling deceived? No. What did she think she was going into when she was eating? Pleasure. She was going into an eyes that is open. Oh! my eyes will be open and I will be seeing all kinds of things. Wow! So God has been cheating me. So God did not allow me to be free. Not only that, we are elevating your status. You're just man. And you are contented with being man. You are going to be like God! Who can't you step up? And she said, "Yes, I'm stepping up. I'm stepping up." But what was it? Delusion. Delusive dreams.
If it can catch, listen, if it can catch man that was not conceived in sin, much more the more it will finish men that are conceived in sin. That's the reality. And even today, it is still catching men. It is still catching men. That is the source, the source of that wisdom actually was against you. Was not for us. The source of that wisdom. And that is why we need to pray today. You need to tell yourself, "God, help me to be afraid of myself." There is a need to be afraid of yourself. There is a need to say, "God, help me to realize that there is something about me that I should be afraid of. Help me to realize that except you help me I will die." Many of us have not come to that realization that if God don't help you you are dead. You are a dead person!
If God don't help you, all your life will be built on delusion. Everything you are expecting will just be delusion. If God don't help you, all of it. If God don't come to your rescue, if God—oh! look at that story. If God did not slaughter the Lamb for our redemption, are we not finished forever? Are you not finished forever? We were finished forever if not that God had to quickly organize again. God have to organize, organize, organize. A Lamb, yes, must be shed for their redemption. I must bring them back. If God did not organize again, we have been finished forever. We have been finished forever. You need to come to that point to know that only God that have my interest in mind. Even me, my own wisdom don't have my interest. That your wisdom don't have your interest in mind.
That thing you are calling your wisdom. Look, say, "God, help me to be afraid of it. Help me to know that this my wisdom is not seeking my good. This my wisdom is not for my good. This my own wisdom, this my wisdom, is not for my good." It's not for my good. God, help me to realize how deep I'm in need of you. Help me to realize how—help me to see my poverty. Help me to see my wretchedness. Help me to see that except you help me I am finished. Help me to see that except you help me I am dead. Help me to see, Lord. Help me to know it, Lord. Help me to understand this matter very deeply, Lord. Don't allow me to escape. Lord, deal with me, deal with me. Help me to see my wretchedness, my poverty. Help me to see that, oh, help me to see that this thing that is looking like I know what I am doing is actually a delusion. It's a delusive dream. Until you speak I am dead. Until you speak I am a dead man. If you don't speak I am dead. Everything I think I can build is delusion. Everything I can build by myself is delusion.
Lord, don't allow me. Don't allow me to have my way. Don't allow me to have my way. Don't allow me, Lord. Whatever you will do to help me, Lord, help me. But don't ever allow me to have my way. Don't ever allow me to have my way. Don't ever allow me, Lord. Whatever you can do to quickly do something about my life, Lord do it. If you need to cane me, if you need to give me some whipping, if you need to block all my way not to go my way, Lord please don't hesitate. All I am just praying for today, Lord, is that Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, don't allow me to have my way. Don't allow me. Lord, have mercy on me, have mercy on me. No matter how much I try, cause me to fail. Let it be that it is your own. Let me ride on your own wing. Let me ride on your own wing. Let me move at your pace. Let me go where you are sending. Let me, let me, let me, let me follow where you are leading. Lord, please help me. Lord, please help me. Oh Lord, our eyes on you. Lord, our eyes on you. Our eyes on you. Lord, please help us. Lord, please help us. Thank you, eternal Father. Blessed be your holy name. In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen. When you get home, please carry on with yourself, carry on with yourself and God. Just carry on. Tell God to deliver you from yourself. Stay with God, refuse to let God go. That thing that you are calling your wisdom is delusion. You never needed it. You never needed it. You never needed it. Oh! we will speak more on this next week. You don't need it. What you need is life. And I'm going to show you how Adam was designed to live. Since he didn't have this one, then what was he living by? We will see it. That is what you need. Oh Lord, we thank you. Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for your word. Lord, thank you for helping us to look into scriptures. Lord, thank you for the power of your spirit. Our brethren who are here physically, our brethren on Mixlr, our brethren on Telegram, Lord we all come before you. Lord, please deliver us from ourselves. Lord, please, please, please. If we have our way then we will go empty-handed. Lord, don't allow us to have our way. Lord, don't allow us. Whatever you can do to help us as your children, let your mercy avail for us. Let your mercy speak for us at those critical junction. Lord, whatever you can do to help us please help us. Don't allow us to go our way in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, eternal Father. Blessed be your holy name, our God. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Let's share the grace together in fellowship.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.
