Church fellowship cannot be more spiritual than the individuals and families that constitute them. God will rebuild the godly homes. These are words of restoration and instruction in righteousness from Family Tent Ministry. May you be blessed as you listen.
[Speaker 1]
We give him all the praise, we give him all the glory, we give him all the honor. Wherever you are, can you just say something to God? Say something to the Lord. Wherever you are, our brethren on Telegram, our brethren on Mixlr, our brethren who are here physically, let's just say something to God. Honestly, it is so wonderful, so amazing to see, to experience the preservation of God. God is preserving us. He's taking us through the month of December, the last month of 2025. We are journeying through gradually, gradually, and December is coming to an end gradually. Let's worship the name of the Lord. Let's appreciate God. Glory be to God in the highest. Glory be to God in the highest. Let's thank him.
Father, we declare that we love you. We declare an everlasting love for you. O Lord, we declare, Father, we declare that we love you. We declare an everlasting love for you. We want to say that you are good and all the miracle you've done has brought us joy. And we are changed, and all the hope we have, we place in you right now. Father, we declare, Father, we declare that we love you. We declare an everlasting love for you. O Lord, we declare, Father, we declare that we love you. We declare an everlasting love for you.
Everlasting Father, indeed we are very grateful. We thank you, O Lord, for this opportunity again to gather, to look into scripture, to look through scripture, to fellowship with one another, to fellowship with the scriptures, and to fellowship with the Father and with the Son. Lord, we pray there is a spirit in man; it is the inspiration of God that giveth the spirit understanding. Lord, give us understanding in the name of Jesus Christ. O Lord our God, our eyes are on you. Let nothing prevail against your purposes for our lives. Thank you, eternal Father. In Jesus' name we pray.
We thank God again as we go back to where we left the matter last week, the book of Genesis. We were trying to look at the matter of how the human wisdom operates last week, and we raised some very fundamental things last week. It is from there that we want to move on today. As we normally do, we like taking revision, we like taking testimonies, we like hearing from the brethren what exactly was their take-home, what was something that became a major blessing for them, either during the class or after the class. The Holy Spirit began to speak to your heart on a matter and then you have something to tell us. I don't know if any of the brethren have something to say. Let me ask brethren here. Is there anybody that has something to say before we move on? I can see one hand, I can see two hands. Is that all we are taking? Okay, we have three people that are having something to say. Let's have you, the person holding the mic.
[Speaker 2]
Last week was packed. One thing that stood out for me was the eye-opener that in Genesis, it was Adam that spoke, but in Matthew 19, we confirmed that it was actually God that was speaking through Adam. Even though Adam did not even have to start saying, "God, what do you want me to say?" he just knew the mind of God and he was able to express that. That has also impacted my own quiet time as well. I want to be more one with the Lord, being more one with God, being able to discern the mind of God. That has been a prayer for me.
Another thing that stood out for me was also in connection with a question that talked about that even the devil knows about some things that God knows, but God is the one that is in charge of times and seasons. He mentioned that at the point as long as God is in charge of times and seasons, he can arrange things to suit my own good. That opened me that as long as God is in charge of times and seasons, he can arrange things to suit my own good.
[Speaker 3]
Praise God. Just in addition to what he said, for me last week, what stood out again was that we were able to see clearly from the scripture that the statement of Adam became the statement of God. We realized that, and another thing that I picked personally is that you don't use obscure scripture to explain scriptures. You use the obvious to explain the obscure. When we look at Genesis 2, we were not really sure of who was speaking at some point. For me, I wasn't really sure and I wanted to be clear about who is actually speaking, but it never dawned on me to compare Genesis 2 with Matthew 19, which thank God, from the mouth of Jesus, we were now able to confirm that this was God speaking and he was speaking through Adam.
The reason why he was able to speak through Adam was because there was no other wisdom that was at work. It was purely his wisdom in Adam. We realized that the introduction of the knowledge of good and evil is a virus, an impurity that was introduced to something intrinsic that it was not part of the plan. It was not given to man to have that ability to know good and evil; he doesn't need it. The only wisdom that is needed for him is that which God gives per time. What has made it so beautiful that at every point in time, he knows the mind of God concerning everything.
That became my own personal cry, to more than ever before think and ponder on what God will want me to do, much more than how I used to wait for him before because I know that if I depend on my own ability, which will want to come as the default response, it doesn't even have my best interest at heart. I have to wait for what God will say. We also saw it in Jesus's life in John 5, that until he hears the Father, he does not judge. Until he sees the Father, he does not act. Jesus made it so clear: "Until I hear the Father, no judgment." So the question that was raised last week was concerning the sister you're going to marry; how did you judge? Concerning your career, how did you judge? Do you judge as you hear the Father, or do you judge as you think? That was an issue for me personally and I thank God for that eye-opener. Praise God.
[Speaker 4]
Praise the Lord. In addition to what two brothers have said, before there was a lot of confusion in my heart, a lot of schools of thought that when God knew that he does not want them to eat the fruit in the first place, why did he plant it in that garden? Or does he have a particular time he has reserved the fruit for? But last week, I was able to learn that God makes us to be dependent. We are not to depend on our own wisdom. God created us that our own human wisdom, we don't need it, ordinarily in God's original plan. And not until when they ate that fruit, God told them they would die. Satan told them they would not die, they would be like God. Last week I was able to learn that truly they died because there was separation between them and God. And also they were naked; what they were not seeing before, as if someone that is mad that sees spirit, they were not seeing the way they were seeing before when God had been relating to them. So I really learned a lot that it's good to really depend on God in every area of our life. Amen.
[Speaker 1]
Thank you very much. Wow, we are really grateful to God. We are picking it from there today. I said something last week when a question was asked on the platform. Somebody was saying is it that Satan knows some things? I hope that person will be online now as we are speaking. The person who asked that question. I hope and I pray that the person is online that Satan knew that when they eat that fruit that their eyes would be open, they are going to be like God, even though they did not know that when their eyes are opened and they be like God, they are already dead. The person said it appears Satan knows some things that God knows. And I said no, there's nothing particular about that. Satan knows many things that God knows that we don't even know.
Satan knows many things that God knows that we don't know, and that is why if you don't depend on God, Satan will outsmart you. That's just it. He will outsmart you. He knows so many things about us that we don't know. If Eve had realized that this person is out to destroy her eternally, she wouldn't have listened to the devil. And you see that in the temptation of Jesus Christ, Satan was quoting scriptures. Satan can quote scriptures. He quoted scriptures to him. It is written: "He will give his angels charge over you, lest you dash your feet against a stone." He said, "Jump down now and God will protect you." And Jesus Christ said, "What you said is true. However, the truth is also that you don't need to tempt God. If I fall mistakenly, God will protect me. But I don't need to start falling to know whether God will protect me. It shows I don't trust him."
You get the point I'm making? So Satan has a way of interplaying things, and that is why we need the Holy Spirit. We need the Spirit of Truth. Referring to that question that was asked, as much as they know some things that we may not know that God knows, they don't fully understand all things. They don't fully understand all things. That is why Satan did not realize that it was by death that the power of death will be taken from him. He didn't know that it was by death. He thought once Jesus is crucified, he has terminated the program of God. He tried to terminate him at birth when Herod killed all the children. God made Jesus run away through Mary and Joseph who were in Egypt. Later they came back. At different points, he was following Jesus back to back. That's why Jesus said, "The prince of this world came, but he found nothing in me."
In Jesus we are able to see, and I don't know why some Christians live very carelessly. We have an adversary, the devil. We have somebody who is following us back to back. He's following us back to back. He's looking for how to take advantage of us. The Bible says, "Be vigilant, be sober; your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." So we have an adversary. But the point I'm making is that all his mind was that if Jesus is killed, the program of God would have been terminated. He didn't know that there would be a resurrection.
So to tell you that even though he knows that Jesus is a Messiah that came to save the world, all he knew was that if I can kill this Messiah, I would have terminated the purpose of God. But the Bible says by death, he conquered him that have power over death and was able to free all his own who all their life had been subject to him because of the fear of death. Are you seeing that? So Satan has the key of death. That is why Abraham, Enoch, all those people, they could not enter into their rest. They could not resurrect. They could not resurrect because Satan has the power of death. They could not come back to life. They could not come into their rest. But at the resurrection, at his death, what he first did at his death that blew Satan off was that at death, he went to hell. He went to free all his own. That's why the Bible says, "He led captivity captive."
So that was something Satan never knew. He never knew that. It was something that was overwhelming. So they were freed. When they were freed, so as Jesus was resurrecting, what happened? They resurrected with him. That's why he said, "Abraham rejoiced to see my day." Abraham was waiting for Jesus. All of them, they were waiting for Jesus to come and free them. And he was able to free them through death. So we can see that Satan don't know. They don't have the clear picture. But in a way, they are able to also, like I tell people, faith is time travel. To be able to see what is to come in all the fullness of it, which the Holy Ghost does for us. He makes us to see what is to come. That's faith. See what is to come and then you begin to speak it until it will now come to that time that it will come.
You get the point I'm making? So Satan is also able to see, but he does not fully comprehend it. That is one. The second one is that God knows the end because he's omniscient, but because he's sovereign. Do you get what I'm trying to say? The reason why we say God knows the end is that God has determined the end. So the foreknowledge of God does not rest on his omniscience, but it rests on his foreordination. God ordained it. But for Satan, he determines nothing. He determines nothing. Rather, all that he does is within the sovereignty of God. For example, Jesus was betrayed for how much? Thirty pieces of silver. Exactly what God had prophesied that he should be betrayed with. He couldn't betray him with twenty-nine nor with thirty-one. It must be that thirty. So you see that everything they do in darkness is within the sovereignty of God.
I believe I would have answered that question by now for the person who asked that question. And I want us to take a step forward today from where we left the matter. I believe the reason why I felt I should answer that question is to throw more light on that matter. And I believe we have enough light on that matter now. Why Satan could say, "God knows that if you eat this thing, you will become like God, knowing good from evil." And I also want you to realize something from that matter. I want to pick on that before I go on today. I want to do some little clarification. Now, you notice something very, very important. I said last week that God never told them that if they eat this thing, they will become like God. They will know good from evil. God only told them that if they eat this thing, they will die. God knows that of course if they eat it, they will become like God, they will know good from evil. But that was not an information they were given.
The point I want you to see very well about God is that it is very, very vital for us to know as children of God that we don't know all things about God, but God makes us to know what we need to know. Do you know the implication of that? Hebrews 11:6. Can we quote it together?
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
So if you are coming to God, just know that you will know in part. You will understand in part. But that part that you know, that part that you understand, is all you need to walk with God. It takes faith. And you will see that principle with God. You will notice that while God was taking them from Egypt to Canaan, what did God say? "I'm taking you to a land flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands." Did God say anything further than that? But along the lines, who provided manna for them in the wilderness? Who made water to come out of the rock? He never told them all those things. What he simply told them was the end. "Come, I will take you to a land flowing with milk and honey."
So whatever is happening along the journey, what should you be saying? God will bring me to a land flowing with milk and honey. He will bring me to that land. The more your mind stays on God, the more he will keep you in perfect peace. Number two is that the more you set your heart on that which God have revealed to you, what he has said to you, you will notice again in 2 Chronicles 16:9. It says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro the earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart are loyal to him." So what God wants from you is believe me for what I've said. It doesn't matter how things... so that is why I'm trying to make you see that it's a way of God.
It was like that, but unfortunately for Eve, what did she think? She thinks, "Oh, there is even something God is hiding from us." God wasn't hiding anything. God has told you the truth. The truth is that if you eat it, you will die. So what else do you want to know? Whether your eyes will be open? Your eyes will be open is just a consequence. They will be like God is just a consequence. But there is a reality: the day your eyes get open, the day you be like God, you are dead. And that's what you need to know. That's what you need to know, that the day I eat this thing, I will die. So whatever is in between, you don't need it.
And that is why you will notice that scripture we have been quoting over and over again. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear God and depart from evil. The point is that your understanding, we must never forget that we never needed it for our journey. Please always remember that. You never needed it. That thing you think you understand, you never needed it. What you needed to finish all your work in this life is inspiration. That's what was needed. That's what you need. You don't really need the other one for your journey. Always remember it is an acquired... there is a way they normally talk about HIV. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. So your knowledge is acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome. So it's not immune; it's inspiration. It's acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome. Once you lean on it, you leave God.
If I ask you your career, where did you get it from? If you say, "Oh, these days people are doing software, so I quickly jumped into software," what has happened? Acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome. So if you want inspiration, what will you do? You will not acquire that one. I don't need this one. "God, what should I do for life?" And God will say, "My son," it says he will direct your path, "go and do Yoruba." What is that one? Inspiration. And then you begin to wonder, "Where will this one lead me to?" Because don't forget, God in his wisdom, his glory is hidden in it. If by what you do, you know that you can survive in life, then you don't need God. It is when it looks like this will take me nowhere. You know what he did to Gideon? Do you know that the glory of God within the wisdom of God is the glory of God? So God will take you through a path that ordinarily you will feel will not bring you to anywhere so that he alone can be glorified.
We must never forget this thing about the wisdom of God. At the same time, too, God, like you saw in Paul, Paul was a lawyer, Paul was eloquent, Paul was well-read, Paul was an orator, Paul was quite articulate, he could argue matter. Yet, with all of those things, what did you notice? That God was still using Paul. Why? Because God was able to bring him to a point that he knows that he must not rest on those things, even though those things were with him. And he knows because at a point, there was something and he says that God did something for him. He said lest he be puffed up, what did God do? God gave him a thorn in his flesh. And when he prayed to God, "God, I want this," God said, "No." It is so that you are not puffed up. It's so that you don't begin to think that there is something about you.
You get the point I'm making? So even though he was eloquent, he had all those things, God have a dealing with him that made him not to rest on those things. But in God's wisdom, God normally do it in a way that his glory is not taken by man. That is why in the wisdom of God, God will make the weak to confound the strong, God will make the foolish to confound the wise, he will make things that are not, that are despised by men to confound the things that are respected by men, so that God alone can be glorified. That is the wisdom of God. But what I tried to clarify this evening very well is please don't forget that simple thing I clarified. That it is important for for you to understand that the way of God is the way of faith. What God have told you by faith is what you need. And when you believe that God is, he's a rewarder and you continue that way, all other things will sort themselves out.
And then I also clarified something very, very important. That the more you lean on your understanding, don't forget how we got it. It was an acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome. Immediately Adam got that, what happened? What happened to him? I mentioned that last week. He had a knowledge. He said, "I knew that I was naked." And God said, "Without inspiration, how do you know? Who told you? Everything you normally know until I speak, you don't know anything." But now you can know something. Who told you? How do you know? How do you know that if you marry a Yoruba woman, she will kill you? Is it not your understanding? How do you know that one? How do you know that if you go to America, your life will be better? How do you know that one?
It's just knowing. It is now part of us. But the way we are supposed to live is what we said at the beginning. The Son can do nothing of himself until what he sees the Father doing. We are not to live by inspiration deficiency syndrome. The more you stay on this one, the more you don't have inspiration. The more you refuse to follow it, then God will inspire you on which way to go. God can direct all your path. That's what you don't know. God can, all your path. He said in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct all. But when you don't acknowledge him, what have you done? Acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome.
And that is the syndrome today that have ruled our lives most. The only place where we don't want to be inspiration deficient is marriage. That is where we now begin to say, "Lead me, Lord. Lead me, lead me, lead me, Lord. Lead me, Lord. Lord, you know I cannot do without you." That is when you cannot do without God. But do you know that if you have been organizing your life all from the beginning, when you get to the junction of marriage, all this one that you use 30 years to pray to know who to marry, you will not need 30 years because your life will have been used to inspiration.
How many prayers did Adam pray to know that Eve was taken out of him? Did he even close his eyes to say, "Father, she is my bone!" Was there anything like that? He just knew. How many times did he pray to know which name to give the animals? So the more, don't forget what Jesus said, that well will become a thing that will be springing. The more you lean on him, the more you lean on him, the more you get accustomed to living that life. That is why the Bible says that strong meat belong to those who by their senses have been exercised to discern.
Something happened to their senses. Who by what? By reason of use have their what? Senses developed. Their spiritual senses developed. You have to develop it. It is by use. But you know what we do? We leave it unused until we want to marry. When we now want to marry, we now carry the car that we have not used for the past... let me explain what you do. They gave you the car since you were 18 and you were mature enough to drive. You didn't drive the car until when you graduated from school and there was a need to go and serve. You now carried the car. You say, "No, I'm taking you for service." Please, will you come back?
That is why you have so many crises today in people's future. You have so many crises because what ought to be developed was not developed. Many times, a mistake is made. The mistake of thinking that the more we are committed to church is spiritual development. We now begin to measure our spiritual growth by how many times we are in service, how regularly we pay tithe. Those things are not wrong; don't think I'm saying that they are wrong. They are not wrong, but they are weightier matters of the law. They are things that are weightier than that. So we become church people but not kingdom people. We become church people but we are not spiritual. What I mean is that we don't have our spiritual senses developed to discern between good and evil. And so you will see somebody who have spent 30 years in church still trying to understand what is meant to submit to a husband. They will be asking you, "Must I submit to a man in everything?"
And you will be seeing somebody who is a pastor telling you that, "Must we die loving this our wife? But Jesus died to save the church, and that is the measure." So you find that we don't have our senses developed. We are operating, I don't know, but the point I'm making this evening, please get me very clear, is one strong point. Let us have a clear understanding that the way of God is the way of faith. What God have told you by faith is what you need. And when you believe that God is, he's a rewarder, and you continue that way, all other things will sort themselves out.
And then I also clarified something very, very important. That the more you lean on your understanding, don't ever forget how we got it. It was an acquired inspiration deficiency syndrome. Immediately Adam got that, what happened? What happened to him? I mentioned that last week. He had a knowledge. He said, "I knew that I was naked." And God said, "Without inspiration, how do you know? Who told you? Everything you normally know until I speak, you don't know anything. But now you can know something. Who told you?"
You have acquired an independent thing. You have got another source: your understanding. Do you see it? Who told you? How do you know? How do you know that that thing will end well? Who told you? Who told you that that project will go well? Who told you? You see, it's a question. It's something today, and instead of dealing with who told you in our life, you know what we are doing? We keep justifying ourselves. After all, like Adam said, "The woman you gave me." After all, I know what I'm doing. After all, as human beings, after all, you keep justifying and keep justifying. The question we are asking is, "Who told you?" You have not answered who told you. Because who told you is not me. That's the question you need to answer. You have not answered that question. You keep merry-go-rounding around that question. But the question you need to answer with your life is: who told you that that marriage will work? Who told you that that career will help you eternally? Who told you that that ministry you are inside, you should be there? Who told you?
The matter of who told you is the matter eternity is still asking many of us. And instead of answering that question, we keep raising all kinds of justification. What told you that if you are revengeful, it will be well? Who told you? Who told you that the more you carry your arrogance, everything will go well? Who told you? Who told you that? How did you come to that standing? How did you get there? Ask the Lord. Lord, break me and mold me. Lord, can you reset me to factory setting? I need to go back to factory setting. We must go back to the default. We must endeavor to understand that this wheel on which we are riding, this wheel is actually a delusion. Human wisdom is a delusion. Human wisdom actually is death. Human wisdom actually is not the way. It's not the way.
But God's wisdom is truth. God's wisdom is life. God's wisdom is the way. And God confidently said, "I am the Lord your redeemer, who leads you in the way that you should go, who teach you in the path that is profitable for you." I'm quoting Isaiah 48:17. 17 and 18, please you can get home and check this scripture. It says, "I am the Lord your redeemer. I am the one who is teaching you in the way that you should go. I am the one who leads you in the way that will profit you, in the way that you will not make losses." There is a way you should go. That way is inside truth and life. That way you should go is inside truth and life. And until God speak, there is no truth. Until God speak, there is no life. That is why until God speak, you can never be wise. Until God speak, you can never be wise. Let us ask the Lord to help us. We must give attention to scriptures. We must ask God that, "God, return me back to factory setting." Let this eye, let this eye be closed. Let this eye be closed. The implication is that you are dead. All those things that you are doing, they are delusion.
The truth behind them is that they are not, they don't constitute the way. God's wisdom operates on truth. The other wisdom operates on delusion. You are not too certain. It may, it may not. It's not too sure, but it portrays the thing, it paints it. Now, look at it again. The operation of that wisdom. When that wisdom was operated, what happened? They lived or they died? They died. So the wheel upon which that thing climb is death. Death. The other one, the wheel upon which it ride is life. The more you operate on human wisdom, the more you die. The more you operate on God's wisdom, the more you live. That is why he says, "The law of spirit of life." Who sees? "Has set me free from what? The law of sin and death."
Then look at it. The third wheel. Look at the third wheel. The third wheel of that wisdom. The third wheel on which that thing ride is that it is a wheel that is never the way. That's not the way. Jesus said something: "I am the way." Do you know the import of that? I will explain it to you. Jesus said, "I am the way." You see, that human wisdom, it is delusion, it is death, and never the way. It says, "And he will direct your path." You get that? There is a path of life for you. There is a path you should go. There is a path. There is a path. There is a path for your life. That path is inside truth and life. Your path is inside truth and life. The other human wisdom is delusion, death, and not the path. That's not the path.
Now, let me explain. Let me now bring it together for you. That is actually why we say trinity, three in one God. The truth, the way, the life. So actually, listen, the three wheels, they are actually but one thing. They only sum up into who God is. Those three wheels, they sum up into who God is. God is what? Truth. God is what? The way. And God is what? Life. So once you miss him, those three wheels are gone: the truth, life, and the way. And that is why you notice Jesus says these three things: "I am the way because I am the truth, because I am life." If you leave truth and life, you have left your way. You have left your way. Move truth and life and see which way you are in. So the reason why Jesus affirmed to you that, "I am the way," is because he is the truth and he is life. It is on these three wheels that the wisdom of God ride.
The human wisdom, I've told you where the source is. We are going to display the characteristics next week. Let's see how next week will come. The Bible records the characteristics of these three things very clearly for us. But note these three wheels. Jesus came to free us, actually to be redeemed is close back the eye. That thing that you are seeing, let's close it. Once we can close what you are seeing and you can see nothing but God, then you will live. As long as you are still seeing something and that thing is beside God, you cannot live, you will die.
And I pray may our eyes return back to the default. May we go back to factory setting. Pray this evening and say, "Lord, return me back to factory setting. Return me back to the default, that my eyes may be closed." Let this eye, let it be closed. This eye that became open. The implication is that you are dead. All those things that you are doing is they are delusion. The truth behind them is that they are not, they don't constitute the way. Lord, please henceforth let your help be readily available for us in the name of Jesus. And let us, O Lord, never despise this help. Let us, O Lord, never look down on it in the name of Jesus. And let us, O Lord, never despise this help. Let us, O Lord, never look down on it in the name of Jesus.
Close the eyes of the head that we have acquired. Open our eyes of inspiration from you in the name of Jesus. Lord, we want to walk by faith. We want to walk in faith and we want to walk according to your guidance. Holy Ghost, we have seen tonight again that until you guide us, we don't know what to do. Lord, we are asking that you will always lead us on in the name of Jesus. Lord, we surrender ourselves unto you so that we can emerge as you have in your heart for us. Please Lord, henceforth let your help be readily available for us in the name of Jesus and let us, O Lord, never despise this help. Let us, O Lord, never look down on it in the name of Jesus. We thank you, everlasting Father, for what you have done for us again tonight and we bless you, Lord, for our father that you have used for us. Lord, we pray that you will increase him in the name of Jesus. Thank you, everlasting Father. For Jesus' mighty name we pray.
Shall we share the grace?
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide with us now and forevermore. Amen.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and we shall dwell in the presence of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.
