Almighty God, we are indeed grateful unto you. We thank you again for another opportunity to gather in your presence to learn at your feet. Lord, we thank you for the privilege of fellowshiping together as brethren. Thank you that we can fellowship in scriptures, we can fellowship with scripture, we can fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, and we can fellowship with one another. Lord, thank you for these privileges. Be exalted, our Father, in the name of Jesus. Lord, as we fellowship with scriptures this evening, Lord, we pray. Paul plants, Apollos waters, for it is God that gives increase. Give increase to our meeting. Give increase to our gathering. Give increase to this fellowshiping in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, eternal Father. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
We are welcome for our brethren who are here physically and those of us who are joining us online. We want to say we are welcome again to this evening discipleship class. We are going to press on from where we left the matter last week. For those of us who were around last week, we were considering "Thy Kingdom Come." Thy kingdom come. Thy kingdom come. We want to move on. We want to press on on that matter this evening, trying to look at some important things that the Lord raised on this matter.
One particular thing that I said last week was the evidence of the kingdom of God in a place is that His will is done. How do we know that actually God's kingdom is in a place? It is because the will of God is done. Anywhere the will of God is done, then it is not only that the kingdom of God is evident, the truth is also that that place where God's will is done, or whatever is involved in doing the will of God, also becomes a partaker of the kingdom to come. In other words, there is a connection between the kingdom that is to come and the will of God being done. His kingdom come, that is one. His kingdom must come. How do we know that the kingdom is here? His will is done. At the same time, that will being done is also the only basis of entering the kingdom that is to come. I hope I'm not confusing us. I'm connecting two important things together. We are all waiting for the kingdom of God. But there is a way the kingdom of God comes now in us. The way it comes in us right now is that the will of God is done. Now, when the will of God is done consistently, then the other aspect of the kingdom that is to come becomes a fulfilled matter.
I want to bring some things together this evening, trying to look at this matter of "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done." Why is the Lord saying that this should be a focus? I don't know whether I mentioned last week, but if I have not, then I'm mentioning. If I had, then I'm laying a foundation for what I want to do today. Now, if you look at Titus. Let's look at Titus. Titus chapter 2. The book of Titus, chapter 2. We can take it from verse 11. I'm reading from the New King James Version. It says:
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.
Titus 2:11–12
Now, I want you to note something here. What I want you to see here is that the whole essence of the grace of God is so that the will of God can be done in this present age. Do you get what I'm trying to make you see? He said the grace of God has appeared. It is teaching us that we should do away with something. Doing away with anything ungodliness. In this present one, we should live. So, you see that the whole essence of grace is the doing of God's will. In other words, the whole essence of God's grace is to make the kingdom of God to reign. Don't forget, anywhere the will is done, the kingdom of God is there.
Now, look at how it goes on. It says:
looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Titus 2:13–14
Are you seeing something? The reason why Jesus gave Himself primarily is that what? From what? Lawless what? Are you seeing the matter of doing again? The matter of deeds. The matter of doing. What I'm trying to make you see is this matter of a connection between doing. Every time they are talking about the grace of God, the Spirit of God, the redemption of Christ, the light of Christ, the goodness of Christ, the mercy of God, it's always connected with a doing. There is a doing. There is something that comes with it, what I call that the true gospel of the kingdom should produce kingdom citizens who have kingdom lifestyle. There is a lifestyle that must come out of it. That lifestyle is the matter of His will. Now, if the people He redeemed to Himself, they are His own special people, what makes them special? What makes them special is that they have been taken away from lawless deeds. What are they now doing? Good works. That what makes them special. That’s what makes them special.
Now, what I want to connect for you is this. When we are talking about the will of God being done, doing the will of God, "Thy will be done," it is so important to know that the matter of doing God's will will no longer be a thing that is relevant when we get to heaven. It will not be relevant. Why? Because already in heaven. We are trying to do that will on earth as it is in heaven. In fact, what makes—I don't know whether you have checked these scriptures—God was saying something about it a recent time with me. When the Bible says, "Precious in His sight are the death of His saints." Do you know that there is a connection between that thing and this matter that we are discussing? Do you know that in the real sense of it, why the scripture says, "Precious in His sight are the death of the saint," is that just imagine the kind of celebration that it will give when men like Job, that God told the devil, "Have you seen my servant Job? That despite all your lawlessness, this man is not lawless. He is peculiar to me, zealous of good works." And then Satan says, "And you see, there is nothing I could do about it." That’s what he said in the matter of Job. So, if at that point God says Job should come home, is it not a precious thing? It's a precious thing. It is not when the saints are lawless. There is nothing precious about a saint that God is ashamed to be called his God. There's nothing precious. Your coming home is not—are you even going to get home? Are you connecting what I'm trying to say?
When the Bible says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of His saint," we know when they go, they rest from their labor, they rest from their works. They are waiting for something. But if when they are resting, they are doomed in the rest, is anything precious about—is anything precious about their death? There's nothing precious about it. And so please, the matter of "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done," is that we need to understand that essentially when we say Christians, we don't necessarily mean pastors. Truly we don't necessarily mean prophets or prophetesses. We don't mean brothers or sisters. We don't really mean evangelists or whatever. That's not what we mean when we say Christian. When we say Christian, what we really mean by we say somebody is a Christian, is that there is a doing of God's will.
So that when you say a pastor, somebody says, "Are you a Christian?" says, "Yes, I'm a pastor." No, he does not understand what it means to be a Christian. It's not about being a pastor. It's not about being a brother. There are several brothers, but they are not Christians. There are several pastors, but they are not Christians. When we say Christian, you will notice that every time Jesus was speaking, He was always speaking about the kingdom. There are two kingdoms: the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. As far as—I don't want to say the universe, we are in planet Earth. As far as this earth, "Thy will be done on earth." As far as this earth is concerned, there are two kingdoms: the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. This kingdom, they are interested in just one thing: submission to a will. Once you love the world, you are an enemy with God. Once you love God, you are an enemy of the world. If you want to live a godly life in Christ, what will you suffer? Persecution. If you want to live that way, friendship with God, friendship with the world, what is it? Enmity with God. So there are just two kingdoms. And the way to know these kingdoms, whether the kingdom is anywhere, is in the lifestyle of the people. It is not so much in what they preach. It's not so much in the title they carry. It's not so much in the church that they go. It's not so much in the fellowship they belong to. How we know whether the kingdom of light is somewhere, is about the will.
And you will notice something in Matthew. Please, I want to call our attention to something in Matthew. And in calling that attention, I want to also remind us of two things that Jesus said. The first one I want to remind you of is when somebody told Jesus—the person said, "Blessed is the person who gave you breast, the person who brought him up." What was Jesus' response? He said, "No, you should have said rather, don't say blessed the person who gave birth to me. Rather say, blessed are those who do God's will. Because even the person who gave birth to me, if she does not do God's will, she's a lost person." That person who gave birth to Him, she's a lost person if the will of God is not done. She's lost. So there's nothing special about that she gave birth to Jesus. What is important is that that coming of Jesus is to establish people doing God's will. In another incident, I don't know whether you remember when they came to meet Jesus again when He was preaching and teaching. And somebody said, "Your mother and your brethren, they have come to see you." Do you remember that story again? What was Jesus' response? Again, He said, "Sorry, if you don't know my mother, you don't know my brother, you don't know my sister. If you want to know them, who are those ones? It is those who are doing God's will." I'm talking about this matter of "Thy kingdom come, your will be done."
You see, this matter is something today that many times we are trivializing in Christianity. We don't understand that the sum total of Christianity is that God wants to see a people that as it is done in heaven, it is now done on earth. Anytime that is done, the pleasure of God is fulfilled. It is not in being gifted. There are several gifts. Please, was Samson not gifted? What did he make of the gift? What did he make of the gift? Are you getting my—it's not about—people are gifted. And sometimes too, you know, sometimes, please, I'm not against some of these high-sounding statements. I'm not necessarily against it. So please don't get me wrong. But I'm saying that if it does not translate to practical Christian life, it is useless. That's what I'm saying. Somebody said, "Look, you need to understand the rhema of God at the frequency of the connectivity of the Spirit. When there's an outflow of the grace of God manifesting on planet Earth at an outflow, and you see the grace of God shining forth, making it a metamorphosis of men." It looks like big grammar and big things are going on. But we want to ask, how does that translate to don't tell a lie? Are you understanding me? How will all those revelations that you are talking about—I'm not against having revelations—but I'm saying, how does it translate to practical Christian living? That your wife did something that makes—that should make you to be bitter, and scripture says don't be bitter, and you are not bitter. That your sister did something that is very, very wrong, and she offended you, and you could go to her and you could settle it and you have forgiven her. And when you forgave, you have truly forgiven and there's nothing about it. How does it translate to not backbiting? How does it translate to not being quick to anger? How does it translate to practical—are you understanding me?—to practical? You see, we are talking about the kingdom of God is only in a life where the will of God is daily the supreme thing, the will of God is done daily. That is where the kingdom of God is. It is not where people are tonguing.
And sometimes too, you know, sometimes, please, there's nothing wrong with speaking in tongues. I don't know. I may be speaking in tongues more than you all that are here. I'm saying that because I speak in diverse type of tongues. So please, I'm not against it. But do you know what the Bible says is that—is that you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you shall be witnesses where? In Jerusalem. Who is a witness? Somebody who has—who was there when something happened. Eni ti o ri, is that not? And then want to explain that thing to somebody else. Do you know that it looks more like when the Holy Spirit come upon you, you shall be tonguing? That is what is happening today. [Speaking in tongues] How does it translate to preaching Jesus? Are you—I don't know whether you understand what I'm trying to bring out. How does that translate to being able to stand for Jesus? Being able to be somewhere and be an ambassador of Christ? You are somewhere, you say, "No, as long as I'm here, evil will not reign. As long as I'm the worker here, no corruption, no bribery." It's not just going to church, [Speaking in tongues] and then when you get to office, you are part of the bribery and corruption. That is not what we are talking about.
So when Jesus was talking about when you pray, pray like this: "Our Father, who art in heaven." And please, the first thing you need to ask for is "Thy kingdom come, your will be done." Why was that a priority in the heart of Jesus? Let us look at some very common scripture. Just a very common scripture, we are very, very familiar with this scripture. Very, very familiar with the scripture. So I want to take a very another very familiar—I've told you two things Jesus said. Blessed is the person rather who does the will of God. His brother and His sisters are those who do the will of God. So please don't forget the connection, that those who do the will of God, what have they done successfully? They have brought the kingdom of God. Because anywhere the will of God is done, that is where the kingdom of God is. Anywhere the will is not done, the kingdom of God is not there. So it's about bringing that kingdom. Jesus came to talk about a kingdom. When He began His preaching, what was the first thing He said? "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand." When Nicodemus came to Him and was giving some fabulous appraisal, He said, "Sorry, Nicodemus, that's not the thing to discuss. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom." Jesus was always concerned about the kingdom.
And look at this one. I want us to take one where He discussed extensively. And I want to connect it actually from verse 14. I don't want to take it from verse 21. I want to take it from verse 14 about this matter of the will of God and the kingdom of God. Matthew chapter 7. Sorry, from verse 13. It's a very popular scripture. I just want to bring out some things out of this popular scriptures. It says from verse 13:
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Matthew 7:13
The next thing. I want you to follow those things as they connect. He said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, there are many who go in by it." When he got to 14, he gave the reason. Is that not? There's a connection. He said "Because," the reason why that one is many is that because "narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, there are few who find it." Notice that the first one, they go into it; the second one, they find it. Are you following me? But that's not where I'm going. Immediately Jesus finished with that, immediately He bring that statement, what did the next thing that follow? "Beware of false prophets." And I want to tell you, you can expand it. Because in those days among them, it was prophets. That's why Peter says, "As there were false prophets among them, there will be among you false teachers." So Jesus was using prophet because that's the popular thing as at that time. So you can put anything in here. Beware of false brothers, beware of false sisters, beware of false teachers, beware of false pastors. Whatever is popular in your own time, although it looks as if the prophetic ministry that gives people solutions center, not salvation center, is becoming popular. So that there are more solution centers in town than there are salvation centers. I don't want to talk so much about that. There seems to be a prophetic rice around the corner.
But what He said, "Beware," he had just talked about the wide and the narrow gate. And the next thing that follow is that "Beware of false prophets, beware of false teachers, beware. Be on your guard." This matter of narrow way and wide way, beware. Now, he says they come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. What was the next thing? "You will know them." Do you see the matter again? Do you see the matter of doing? Are you seeing the matter of doing? It is not by how much charisma. You will not know them by the miracles they conduct. They may actually conduct several miracles. You will not know them by the expression of their gifts. Because that one will even confuse you the more. By the time the brother says, "Hey, in the name of Jesus, rise up and walk," it may confuse you the more. Don't try to identify people by any other thing except by their fruit. Don't try. Don't try. How we know whether the kingdom of light is somewhere is about the will. And also you cannot enter the kingdom to come. There's a connection between the will of God and the kingdom here and the kingdom to come. What connects them is the will of God. So he says you will know them by their fruit. By their fruit.
Now, he says if you want to know them, and I want to tell you if you really want to understand yourself, don't understand yourself by your titles. Don't understand yourself by what people call you. Understand who you are by your deeds. Understand it by the kind of thoughts that you have. Because if you notice it, He said, "Let the wicked man forsake his ways and the ungodly man his thoughts." The way you think. The kind of thoughts you have. The kind of thoughts you have. The kind of things you do. When God want to look at men, it's about their ways and their thoughts. When you want to know a man, because as a man thinketh so he is, you can always connect the thought of a man and the ways of a man and the fruit of his life. They are seriously connected together. Now, he says you will know them by their fruit. By their fruit. Now, he says do men gather grape from thornbushes or fig from thistles? Even so, every good tree will bear what? Good fruit. But a bad tree bear bad fruit. So are you—I want you to note something here. How do you know the bad tree? It means you cannot know that a life is bad by looking at the tree. It means when you see good tree and bad tree, just seeing the tree you cannot separate them. You can't. What I'm trying to say is that it is so difficult to know who is a false brother, who is a false sister, apart from taking time to study their what? Their fruit.
What a man says daily, what he does daily, as he's doing that every day, he's writing his own testimonial. He’s writing his testimonial. Now, look at the next thing. He says, "Every tree," please, don't forget where the Lord is flowing from. He’s flowing from narrow gate and broad gate. That led us again to what? False prophet and true prophet. That led us to what? Good fruit and bad fruit. Look at the thing that follows in 19. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." So, are you seeing something here that every tree, the basis of what eventually happen to the tree is the fruit. The basis of what eventually happens to a tree is the fruit. Now, do you notice something? Verse 20, what did he now say? "Therefore, by their fruits you will know them." It’s talking about what? The false prophet and the true prophet. Don't forget that this matter of two things began with from where? Doing God's will and not doing—being in the narrow way or being in the wide way. That led to false prophet and true prophet. Now, those that walk in the path of life are those who eventually are the true—don't forget that the matter of false prophet, true prophet is connected to what? Narrow gate and broad gate. The narrow gate and the broad gate that many will walk where? In the broad way. It means many will follow more what? The false prophet. Many will go that way more. Many are going to bear fruit that are not correct. Few will bear the one that is right. Are you getting the point He's trying to emphasize?
For you to know that that is what is emphasizing, look at how Jesus now came back. Look at verse 21. That was what led Him into what? "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father." So what is good fruit and bad fruit? When a life don't do God's will, can I quickly inform you that it's not a good tree? No matter who they call him. It's not a life—it's not a life to reckon with. It's not a life to consider. It's about the will. He says not everyone who says to me "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom, but he who does the will. Now, look at it. For you to now get back to where He start—where He started. Do you see the matter again of what? Many. "Many will say to Me in that day," corresponding back to where? The verse 13. Many are in the broad, few are in the narrow. So when He was talking about the narrow way and the broad way, it is which way? The way of doing God's will and the way of not doing God's will. The narrow way of life is that way of the will of God. It's that way of God's will.
And if you look at it—if you look at it, you will now understand why He was talking about by the fruit. Many will say "Lord, we prophesy." Prophecy is a matter of using their what? Their gifts. Many will cast out demons, we cast out demons in your name. It's a matter of what? Using their gift. And we did many wonders in your name. It's a matter of what? Using their gift. He said, "But I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'" Now, I want—I want us to look at something. Is it possible for Jesus not to know somebody who is a believer? I never knew you. He said, "I will say I never—there was no knowing between me and you. I don't know you." Can we look at this matter? If He had just said "You workers of iniquity," you know it's clearer. But if He says "I don't know you," but they did it in His name. So where is the missing link? Where is the missing link? Does that not tell you something? Does it not tell you something that any man who truly shares intimacy with God cannot but do His will? Any man—how do you know whether a man truly shares intimacy with God? Because it's a matter of knowing, He say, "I don't know you." A man who truly shares intimacy with God cannot but do His will. You see, it is on the basis of God's will that we know people who truly share intimacy with God. It is not on the basis of manifestation of their gifts. It's not because I'm a good teacher that you say I truly know God. No, you are missing it. I may be a good teacher, but I may not be doing what I say.
So it's not on the basis of how much of the operation of my gift. No. The way to know—to know that people share—eneyi ba Olorun r’in, eneyi mo Olorun, ohun ati Olorun won jo ni iba-l’opo to d’omoran, the way we can know it ni pe eneyi ko le s’ai se’fe Olorun bo ti wun ko ri. Under any situation. And I will show you practical—practical example, even though I may eventually still get—I want to see if I can still get to the—because I want to show you the implications of doing God's will in a man's life. I want—you know, I want to take it beyond just the fact that Jesus said they will enter. Let's leave the matter of eternity. I want to show you practical implication of it in a man's life. If I cannot get there today, I will take it next Monday. You will see that there are implications for it. Certain things begin to happen with these men. And there are practical things. Look at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego for instance. How do we know that these people really knows God? Is that even at the point of death, they were willing to do what? God's will. God said we should not bow to any other thing. We are sorry o, if the only way to continue is to die, please, king, you are only wasting time. There's no need to blow the trumpet again. We will not bow. We just want to inform you. There's no need. Don't give us more time. That was why the king became furious. Emi t’e ba n’re asiko, e n’so pe mo n’waste time? Ah. Ma fi ye yin. Are you getting the point I'm trying to bring out? But they were not rude, they were just trying to explain to him that no matter how much time you give us, we are not going to change our mind o.
And then on the go, heat that thing seven times. Carry these men and throw them. And when they were tying them, God was just looking. Do you know when they were tying them and they were carrying them, for those boys, they have concluded that in dying, let us die. They were not thinking anything else will happen. As a natural person, if God does not intervene, God should have done something. If you don't see God's intervention at the point of tying them, at the point of carrying them, at the point of heating the fire, God did not change the heart of the king. And sometimes when I speak on these things in another subject, I say God was just trying to see whether they will change their mind. If we—there was no intervention. And it was after they got into the fire. It was from that thing that I knew that God works in two ways. God either saves you from the fire or in the fire. That is God. That is God. It’s either from it or in it. That is God. But the point I'm trying to bring out is that if you look at those boys, what was actually at stake? Was it their job? You know they were officers of the king. But what was at stake was not their job, ko s’ope "If you don't bow, ma gba ise mi lowo yin." That one will be very, very easy. Kabiyesi e sa se, you can take your job. But what was at stake was their what? Was their life.
But do you know that ordinarily today, after many of us have done some spiritual dynamics inside church, just because our job, not our life, will be at stake, we will compromise and tell lie? Not our life o. Our job. I'm talking of job. There are people who are doing all kinds of things to keep their job. Do you agree with me? There are who are doing all kinds of things to get a job. There are who are doing all kinds of things to get promotion within a job. What is—what is at stake is either promotion or job or something, and men cannot stand for God. And they will come up to the people, "Father, we declare let there be light!" They don't know God. They don't know God. It is the manifestation of God's will in a man's life that shows true intimacy with God. And that is why you notice that Jesus said, "I don't—I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."
Can we—can we look at this matter? If He had just said "You workers of iniquity," you know it's clearer. But if He says "I don't know you." Ka l’ari ni m’ora ni, ah, you won't deny me. You won't be preaching, you won't be doing miracles and yet still be able to tell a lie. You'll be doing miracles and all of that and yet still be able to cut corners. You'll be doing miracles and all of that and then use back door to get promotion. You won't be in church and be so active in church service and yet the hatred you have for your wife will not be like this. You won't be—you won't be—you won't be doing so much in the public and yet you are not true to your wife at all. I'm telling you what it means. I'm telling you why you look at our churches sometimes and when you check into families, you see all kinds of family instability and yet you say they are children of God. Even at the point of young people getting into relationship. I remember one very, very funny story like that. A sister felt that no, she should marry a brother. And the brother was not so persuaded. And then they arrange a prophecy in the fellowship. And somebody was to prophesy, "Thus says the Lord." Just to bamboozle and confuse the brother. That the Lord is telling you something, you need to get across a sister. Put the prophecy. And there was confusion in the fellowship that day. And the brother just said, "Me too, thus says the Lord!" It became a bit of confusion. By the time matters was investigated here and there, the person who prophesied was just somebody that was planted by the sister to say that. And then after—I'm talking of where is the will of God in all of our giftings.
That is why you notice that Jesus said, "Many are those who walk in the broad way, but few are those who find." It's a finding because actually that way is Christ. "I am the way." Only few really find Jesus and share intimacy with Him. Only few really find Him. Only few really find Him and when I say find Jesus, I'm talking about sharing intimacy. Because Bible—the Bible—because Jesus Himself keep emphasizing, how do you know my brothers and my sisters? When you ask Jesus, if He's to open heaven, "Lord Jesus, how do we know your brothers? How do we know the heirs of the kingdom? Are the brothers not the heirs? Are they not the joint heirs? Am I correct?" So "Lord Jesus, please tell us, how will we know your brothers and your sisters?" He'd say, "Go into the earth, anyone who is doing my will. That's how you will know men who share intimacy with me." He won't say go and look for men who are doing miracles. He won't say go and look for men who are church members. He won't say go and look for leaders of churches. He won't say all of those things. Why I'm saying that these things are important, I'm saying that they are secondary matters. It's secondary matter to carry a title. It's secondary matter to be gifted. Secondary matter—all of those things must come back to one thing: Thy kingdom come, O Lord, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. All of those things must come to that. It must come to that. It must come to that. And that is why He said, "I don't—I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."
I think I've explained the matter of knowing is clear enough. I want to move on. He said, "Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them," see the matter again, doing. Hear my saying, do it. Hear my saying, do it. These sayings of mine—what has He been saying? Please, what has He been saying? "My brothers and my sisters are those who do my will." Is that not what He has been saying? "Repent, the kingdom of God is at hand." And what has He been saying? "Walk in the narrow way, don't go in the broad way. A fruit will be know—a tree will be known by..." That’s what He has been saying. "What has He been saying? Except a man be born again, he can't see the kingdom of God." What has He been saying? Go—go and check all that He said. If it does not sum up into what, doing the will of God, so that you can enter that kingdom. All the parables He gave, what did He call them? "The kingdom of heaven is like," He's always talking about this kingdom should come. Af’e ko ma manifest. We want a situation where upon this planet earth, God can look around and He can say, "Satan, have you—do you see My kingdom fully established? You see that family? You see My kingdom there? Do you see there? Do you see there? With everything that you have, if you cannot handle ordinary my creation, then how do you handle Me?" And then God is glorified. That is what it means to glorify God. That’s what I said last week. That is how you show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into what His marvelous—that is how you show it forth.
But if all that Satan can say is that "Yes, God, you see that one, you say He's your child, he's doing this. You see that one, you say he's your child, he's doing this. You see that one, you say he's your child, he's doing this. You say that one, you say he's your child, he's doing this." Then why is God glorified? Or you forgot that the accuser of the brethren is still there till today? The accuser is still there. And all he wants to say is that "Se bi o pe won l’omo e, o si si, look at se bi." And then that's where the matter is. So as many life that silence the accuser, it is in those life that God is truly glorified. That is the point. Let us check our secret life. It is not about popularity, it's not showmanship. That's one thing. Christianity is not about showmanship. It's not about popularity. I don't—you know that personally I don't pray to be popular. I don't even pray to be known. I'm just praying to know God. That's my prayer. I want—you know what I mean by knowing God? To know God is what I've just told you. To know God, to share intimacy with God, is that you come to your—your heart come to a point where no rival throne survive, no other love compete. You have come to a point where you have fulfilled the first and greatest commandment, that this man love the Lord His God with all his heart, with all his soul, with all his might. That is the first and greatest commandment. That there is nothing that compete with the love for God in your heart. That is true intimacy with God. Nothing. Nothing can push you out of doing His will. Nothing can make you to do otherwise. Do you see somebody like Daniel? You know when Daniel was—when Daniel was getting towards his end, the angel said, "Daniel the beloved, you see you, you will die, you will come and join us." He said, "Daniel the beloved." Ah. Awon eyan won o ti i ku o. Eyan won lo l’aye o. That's why I keep telling people, if God can achieve those kind of things under the law, iwa wa n’be kan ma so pe a le mo n’kan ri mo’ji. God will achieve much more the more under grace. The angel said, "Daniel the beloved," in a country where Israelites came in their numbers, and we could only talk about four names. Of all the Israelites that came, they captured the cities to another country. We could only talk about four names. And those names where others were bending all kind of things, God could still get what—I want to tell you there will always be a remnant. There will always be people. It doesn't—this Nigeria, everything, God still have the faithful that are in this land.
I was speaking with our—to our youth yesterday in the church. And I say, "Listen, in the place where people were so godless that they wanted to sleep with angels," they want to sleep with those men—you know they came as men—it was in that land that somebody was saying "I still have virgin daughters." Some girls were still virgins. [Chuckles] So ko si bi n’kan se ma sokukun to, you will still see these few who are not in the broad way. That's what Jesus is trying to say. There is a narrow way that some people are inside, the way of the will of God, the way of His kingdom, the way of intimacy with Him. It's a narrow path, it's not a broad path. Awon eyan o ki n’ po ni titi iyen. Won o po n’be. And go and check it from all history. In the time of Enoch, Enoch walked with God. Move on. In the days of Noah, eight people. Move on. When they got to Sodom and Gomorrah, just one family. Move on. Just keep checking it. And if you look at it, what Jesus said. Every time Jesus talks about His coming, go and check it in the Bible. Everywhere He spoke about His coming, He will be telling you, "Like the days of Noah, so shall be the days of the coming of the Son of Man. Remember Lot's wife. Remember this." That just as it was then, so it will be in His time. Is He not telling you that as it was in the beginning, so it shall be in the end, because He has declared the end from the beginning? As it was then, that's how it's going to be.
But the point I'm making about this matter today is that please, what is the primary thing in your life? Is it about His kingdom and His will? Are you doing everything everywhere you go to establish the kingdom? To establish the kingdom. The kingdom. The kingdom. How do you establish the kingdom? It's being a true soldier, dying at your post. Everywhere you are, the will of God must be done. Do you see somebody like Joseph? Do you see somebody like Uriah? Where they were, how did they bring the kingdom of God to that place? How did they bring it? By doing His will. Potiphar don't take note of how much coming, how much goes out, and yet he could not touch one kobo. Whereas today, even when people are busy watching you, we are still stealing. Many Christians today, even under the watch eye of, "Yes, let's—let's be disciplined, let's be that," any man that does this, you still see them doing it. That brother have nobody to discipline him if he steals the money. Was there anybody to discipline Joseph? There was nobody. Bible says the man did not take account again of—so tit-for-tat because nobody to exercise any discipline. He was the lord and master. Everything was in his hand. And yet he could not touch anything. He was an Enoch. Didn't touch anything. Could not touch anything. "Ko n’ se ti mi."
And when it came to the point of the master's wife, going every day, every morning, every night, every day, every thing, every thing. The Bible said he continued like this daily. The young man was saying that, "Sorry, madam, sorry, ko le ri be. Ko le ri be." Our own today, it is not somebody pursuing us. It is we fornicating everywhere. "I didn't want to do—you know how it happened? It is the devil." But I'm showing you men who share intimacy with God. It was sisters pursuing them. And when the woman is pursuing a man inside a small conference, you know they don't live in separate houses. You know all kind of thing that woman would have done. And yet the brother was just there. And then you are talking about immorality today, one pastor sleep with one person, e n se esu ni. One brother sleep with one sister, e n se esu. Where is the place of intimacy with God?
Brethren, what I'm trying to say is, I want to conclude the way Jesus concluded. How He concluded? Let me conclude that way. "Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them," you see the matter again, doing. Hear my saying, do it. Hear my saying, do it. "I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against that house. It did not fall for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them, I will liken him to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell. And great was the fall." And Bible said, "And it was so, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching. For He taught as one having authority and not as—and not as the scribes." What I want to conclude with this evening as we pray is that the Lord said everyone who does my saying, who do my will, is a wise man. Whatever—everyone who is not like that is a what? Is a foolish man. So as—as I conclude for today, next week we will try to look at implication for attending to God's will. I hope to go in that direction. But what I'm saying is that check your life. Will you describe yourself as a wise man or as a foolish man? How will you describe yourself? Let us pray.
How will you describe yourself? A wise man or a foolish man? Are you wise or you are foolish? That's what Jesus said. He said some are wise builders, some are foolish builders. Anybody who is not building in the narrow way is a foolish man. No matter what he's doing, he's foolish. No matter what he's doing, he's a foolish person. Because he will succeed and succeed and succeed to eventually fail. He's a bad planner. But anyone who is building on the narrow way will endure and endure to eventually succeed. He's a wise person. Are you a wise person? I want you to talk to the Lord. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. Thy kingdom come, O God, Thy will be done. Is that the focus of your prayer? Thy kingdom come, O Lord, Thy will be done. Thy kingdom come, O God, Thy will be done. Is that your focus? Do you truly share intimacy with God? Do you truly share intimacy with God? Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. Thy kingdom come, O God. It must come on earth. Here on earth, here on earth, here on earth. We need it here on earth. It is here where we have the accuser of the brethren, that we need the kingdom to come. Thank you, Father. Blessed be Your holy name. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray.
Father our God, we want to thank you again for your revelation this evening. Thank you for the entrance of your word that giveth light and understanding unto us. We appreciate you and we say be thou glorified in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we have heard your word. We ask that you will help us to do the same in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that as we go, you will help us to continue to do your will like never before in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that your kingdom will come and your will be done in our lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that in this evil generation, the same way you helped Enoch, you helped Daniel, Lord, you will help us in the name of Jesus Christ. We will not be distracted. We will not fail in the name of Jesus. Thank you, precious Daddy. Daddy, as we go, we go in your name. We will return next week with testimony of your help, of your grace in the name of Jesus. Lord, we pray for your servant, that you will cause your word to increase in him in the name of Jesus Christ. You will cause fresh oil upon him in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, precious Daddy. We give you praise and glory, Lord. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen.
Let's together share the grace.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen.
