Who Will Believe Our Report - 3

[Narrator] Church and fellowships cannot be more spiritual than the individuals and families that constitute them. God greatly desires a godly home for these words of restoration and instruction in righteousness from Family Ten Ministry. May you be blessed as you listen. [Speaker 1] And Christ is our victory. So we have cause to rejoice. Like I said that today, I would like us to do a lot of praying. And we'll do more praying. We'll do more praying about this matter. But I want to put something together that was coming up in my mind, and I see the Lord raising an issue with me which we can use to pray today. When I said last week that we are supposed to pray, as at then I did not have the direction that would be a specific direction. I just knew that God wants us every last Monday to pray. But today, in the course of the week, I had a clear direction as to what is the basis of the prayer we needed to pray today. Let's go back again to that Joshua, and I want us to open as many translations as possible. We want to see something there that is the basis of our prayer. I am opening Amplified, NLT, and KJV. I have those three versions together in one of my Bibles here. So somebody else can open some other ones. I have those three in what I have here. Amplified, NLT, and KJV. I have those three, so NIV and some other ones can be opened. Now, Joshua Chapter 6, where we read last week. Last week we were looking at the matter of what faith is, and how the Lord told them to go around. And we were seeing it as a principle of faith. A principle of faith. And in the course of the week, I think day before yesterday, the Lord called my attention to something still in that story which we will use to pray today. Now, I take it from verse 1. The Bible says, "Now"—the King James puts it in a way that is so interesting. It says, "Now." Now what is "now"? Presently. Another way to put it, it says, "Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men thereof." (Joshua 6:1-2 KJV) Another translation. Not Amplified and not NIV, I will read those ones here. [Speaker 2] Yes, one and two. "Jericho was shut up tight because of the people of Israel, no one going in, no one coming out." (Joshua 6:1-2 MSG) Message. "God spoke to Joshua: Look sharp now! I’ve already given Jericho to you, along with its king and its battle-hardened squad." [Speaker 1] Oh, that is what the mighty men, everybody put together. Alright. It has been given. Look sharp now, I have already given you that city. Yes, other translation? [Speaker 3] NIV. "Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the Lord said to Joshua, See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men." (Joshua 6:1-2 NIV) [Speaker 1] Look at Amplified. Amplified says, "Now Jericho, a fenced town with high walls, was tightly closed because of the Israelites; no one went out or came in. And the Lord said to Joshua, See, I have given Jericho, its king and mighty men of valor, into your hand." (Joshua 6:1-2 AMP) NLT. It says, "Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or go in. But the Lord said to Joshua, I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors." (Joshua 6:1-2 NLT) Do you follow the reading? Now, God was speaking to Joshua, and as we gather here today, God is speaking to you. As at the time God was speaking to Joshua, the wall of Jericho was intact. The strength of that city was in place. What Joshua could see was a standing wall, mighty men, and a situation that is unsurmountable because there is no way to even penetrate. The gates had been tightly closed. But do you notice an active word in all that we read? Do you notice one word keeps recurring and recurring and recurring in all the verses? In almost all the translations that we read? King James says, "See." Amplified says, "See." The Message says, "Look sharp." Do you notice that God was engaging the sight of Joshua? Do you notice that God was making Joshua not to see what he was seeing? Do you get that? What was Joshua seeing? A fenced wall that no human being can penetrate. A closed gate that they cannot open from outside. A city that you don't know how to go about the victory. And as at when God was speaking to Joshua, all those things were still in place. And God told Joshua, "See!" What did He try to make him do? That this wall that you are seeing standing, stop seeing it. Stop seeing a standing wall. Stop seeing a city with warriors and army. Stop seeing a gate that you cannot penetrate. I want you to see something else. See, see, this city has been given to you. That is what you should see. You see, as we gather here, I see the Lord addressing your heart. The Lord addressing my heart. That when a man cannot see it, he cannot get it. When a man cannot see it... You say, "Bro Wale, what are you trying to say?" When a man cannot see it... God would have told Joshua, "Why are you troubled? Stop being troubled, jare. Don't worry. I will make you to overcome the city." But God didn't say that. God said, "Joshua, you are not seeing correctly." But was not Joshua seeing correctly? Was Joshua not seeing correctly? As far as he was concerned, the gate was barred. It was the same Word of God that said, "Now Jericho, the fenced city, was shut." Was it not that? But it was still the same Word of God that told Joshua, "Stop seeing a standing wall." I don't know the situations in your life. I don't know the circumstance in your life right now. I don't know what wall is actually standing. But as we prepare to gather today, we see that we are going to pray. The Lord began to make me see in the course of the week that, look, son, there is a matter that must be addressed. Men cannot possess what they cannot see. So God had to first speak to Joshua. He said, "Joshua, see! I have given you Jericho, its king and all its mighty men." Stop seeing a standing wall. Stop seeing warriors. Stop seeing warriors. Stop seeing, "Ah, how do we go?" Stop seeing impossible. Stop seeing "I'm not able." Stop seeing "ko-se-se." Stop seeing "e-go-ma-gba." Stop seeing "ba-wo-la-she-she." Stop seeing all those things. See another thing! See something else. And what should you see? See that Jericho has been given to you. Mind you, the wall was still standing. The soldiers were still there. He had not even given him strategies on how to go about it. But the first thing God needed to make him correct is what? Sight. And I began to run through Scriptures. Do you notice that when Abraham and Lot were to part? And Abraham said, "Anywhere you choose, if you choose to the north, I will go to the south. If you go towards the east, then I will go to the west." And the other way round, "I also take the other something." And the Bible says Lot lifted up his eye, and he chose all the plain of Sodom that was well watered. (Genesis 13:9-11 KJV) So there was no green place again left for Abraham. Since Abraham had already said, "Anyone you choose, I will choose the remaining." It was difficult to say, "Ah-ah, ara-kun-rin, there's nothing green again. You have taken all the..." So in a way, Abraham could not see how his own cattle and cattle rearers will do well in that land. What did God do with Abraham? Let's see Genesis 13. Genesis 13. Let's see what God did with Abraham. Genesis 13. Are you there? Are you there? I read from verse 14. "And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him: Lift up now thine eyes..." (Genesis 13:14 KJV) Please can we read together? "Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever." (Genesis 13:14-15 KJV) All which land will Abraham be given? The one that he can see. The one that he can see. We are talking of something very, very important in God working with our heart. In God working His miracles in our life. God needed to address what in Abraham? What was Abraham seeing? Dry ground, how it will go, how will it happen? And in the midst of that, God said, "Abraham, Abraham, Abraham, you are not seeing well. You are not seeing well. You are not seeing well." He needed to address his vision of things in his life. He said, "Now see another thing!" See another thing. All this one that you can see, it has been given unto you. Do you remember when Elijah was to leave and Elisha was to take over? And Elisha said, "I need what? Double portion of your anointing." (2 Kings 2:9 KJV) And he said, "You have asked a hard thing." (2 Kings 2:10 KJV) How will he get it? He said, "However, if you can see me... if you can see it, then you will have it." (2 Kings 2:10 KJV) Am I calling your attention to something very, very scriptural? Now the Lord now told me something in the course of the week. That is when I now better... I've always been quoting that scripture in several other dimensions, but it was until the course of this week that I saw it in this particular dimension we are discussing now. He said, "Where there is no vision, people perish." (Proverbs 29:18 KJV) Where there is no vision, where they can't see it. As long as they can't see it, as long as you can't look at what has been said, and you see what Christ have done, and you see it and you are wanting to stand because of what you are seeing, you can't possess it. Your confidence will not be in the Word. You'll be wavering. You see, seeing is the basis for faith. Faith sees it. It sees it. It's like when Jesus said, "Have faith in God." (Mark 11:22 KJV) See it. "Where there is no vision..." where people can't see what God is doing. Which translation is that? Is it the Message? Proverbs 29:18. Okay, can you read it for us? [Speaker 2] "If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed." (Proverbs 29:18 MSG) [Speaker 1] Do you remember that when Jesus was speaking to the people of Israel in Matthew 13, and he was talking about the reason for their damnation? He says, "Seeing you will see, but you will not perceive." (Matthew 13:14 KJV) It means that they cannot see what God is seeing. He said, "Yes, you will hear, but you will not understand." (Matthew 13:14 KJV) Enti o gbo t’o ye, ati enti o gbo rara, kini o n’o f’eyato? Enti o n’wo n’kan t’o n’ri n’kan kan, o n’wo ba’yi, o n’wo, o l’ajo ele o n’wo ba’yi, bo ko ri n’kan t’o ye ko ri. Kini eni yi a m’on si? Afoju ni. Afoju ni. And so I see the Lord addressing a matter with us for the basis of our prayers today. Can you see it? Can you see? What is the wall of Jericho? What is the standing wall? What are the mighty men of valor that have crippled your faith, that have make you to be afraid? What are the circumstances and situation that have made you to be wondering if there can be a way out, if there can be a deliverance? The Lord is saying, "See! See it! See it! See! I have delivered this thing that you are seeing. It may be standing now. The thing is standing tall. It's looking intact. It's looking this thing can never move. But God is saying, Can you see? That is, can you agree with my own report? Can you see it? Can you see beyond what is standing? Can you see the matter not from the perspective of the mighty men? Can you see it? There's a need to see it. And when you see it, and you can see, then to take heed to what God is doing becomes very easy. But when you cannot see it... and the basis of our prayer today, that we want to talk to the Lord about today for our individual life, is God, address my sight. Address my sight in my situation. In the circumstance that surrounds me today. In the things that surrounds my faith, in the matter sometimes you have been coming here, you have been learning, you have been learning. And there are some things you are looking at and you have concluded, "This one is only for people like maybe like Bro Wale, or Pastor Kumuyi, or you just conclude in your mind about certain things." Or there are some things that you have just concluded, "Mo gbe lo'ke, won gbe lo'le, o le change, bo se ma pari l’eleyi." What is that thing that looks so permanent? So unpenetrable? Standing with mighty men all around it? The Lord is saying the basis of faith, and not just for now, but the continuous basis of the things that we have been learning, is that if at every junction you can see the report of God, you can see what God said, you can understand that, "Look, if the suffering can be what? Can be total, can be exact, can be complete, can be so precise." Then the consequences cannot be less than. As you face different things, you can see that. If you can see this thing, if you can see it in every situation, that if it was fulfilled as it was supposed to fulfill here, fulfilled exactly, exactly. So awon ileri to tele pe "by that stripes you are healed", it’s exactly. Ko si boya won se fun awon kan. "The chastisement of your peace", anyway maybe I may have peace in some time, I may not. If you can see it! If you can see it that, look, if the fulfillment could be like this, the consequence is exactly. If you can see it! And you can begin to see it. And you can begin to confess it. And you can begin to stand on it. You will receive strategies. The first thing was that he saw, and then he said, "Now this is what you will do." Once there is a will, there will be a way. Once you can see it, you can will what God is willing. You can see the will of God in the matter. You can see what God has said. And you can will it and you can stand on that thing that is the will of God. That God is willing this. You can say, "No, this is the report of God on this matter." If you can see it, Baba will start giving you, "Okay, you know what you will do? You... maybe your own is to jump three times. Maybe your own is to, okay, know what you will do? Separate to me two days to pray." It could be any kind of instruction. It could be start praising me for the next one week. And then it looks like, "Oluwa se praise l’e mi ki tun ma praise ba'yi?" It can... I don't know whether you understand me. It can be that God, "I want to get out of..." Okay, whatever you have in your hand as money, go and be... just keep giving. Give. You want me to bless you? You want to be great? All that is in your hand, tell yourself, start giving it because you are a prosperous man. "Ah, Oluwa, mo ni mi o ti je o gbe'se. E l’o ma give ba'mi prosperous man. Ah, God." I don't know whether you understand what I'm trying to say. It could instruction could be, but the matter we are addressing today is that God needed to address the sight of Joshua. And then, we needed to take our prayer. So today I want us to pray more. As we take time to pray this evening, I want you to come before the Lord for your own self and talk to the Lord for your own self. How the matter has been raised with you. The matter has been clearly discussed. And I want you to begin with yourself. God, I don't know what I've been seeing. In other words, I don't know what I've believed. I don't know how I come to believe them. I don't know how I get to this point where I am. But Lord, Lord, Lord, I want to see. I want to see what You are doing. In the matter of my inheritance in Christ, in the matter of the suffering of death, the suffering of Jesus for my life. In the matter of my justification. Bible says he was delivered for our transgression, and he rose up for my justification. (Romans 4:25 KJV) In the matter, oh God, of my deliverance from the powers of darkness. In the matter of my deliverance, in the matter of my deliverance from afflictions and sorrows. He said "the chastisement of my peace" is upon him. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) In that matter, say God, what are You doing? I want to see. Lord, I want to see. In the matter of my health, He said "by his stripes I am healed." (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) In the matter of the things that grieved me, He said, look, he took upon himself our grief and our sorrow. (Isaiah 53:4 KJV) In the matter of this matter, Lord, Baba make me to see. Lord, what are the things that are grieving you? What are the things that have become a grief? What are the things in your health that has become a matter? What are the things in your peace, maybe there is no peace? You are restless in your life. You are restless in your faith. You are restless in terms of your life. You just look at your life and you are restless. The Bible says "the chastisement of your peace is upon him." (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) In that matter say, "God, what are You doing? I want to see. Lord, I want to stop seeing my affliction. I want to stop seeing this standing wall of Jericho. I want to see. I want to see, Lord, that I may see. Lord, I want to see what You are doing. This is the day that God is doing something. The Lord said, I am doing a thing in your midst. I am doing a thing. I am doing it. This is the hour that God want to do. God want to do, but you must see what He is doing. You must see it. See it! Look at what Christ... look at the death, look at the suffering, look at what he suffered for, look at what he went through. And what is it in your life that is contradicting it? What is contradicting it in your life? Look at those things today eye to eye. Look at them eye to eye and say, God, this is the one that is troubling me. What do You want me to see? What do You want me to see? This is what I've been seeing all my life. I've been seeing this one. I've been seeing, Lord! But what is it that You want me to see today? Lord, open my eyes to see! To see the actual! To see the actual! Not to see the fact, but Lord to see the actual! Lord, I want to see beyond the fact. I want to see beyond the fact. The fact is that the wall of Jericho is standing. The fact is that the soldiers were still there. That's the fact. But the reality is they have been delivered to Joshua. Look at how the Message puts it. It said, "I have already put them in your hand." I have already. Sister, they are already in your hand. Brother, brother, they are already in your hand. He said, "I have already." (Joshua 6:2 MSG) There is an "already"ness in God. That is why you must arise. That is why you must arise because there's an "already"ness. Jesus has suffered. Jesus has died. Eh! Is there anything troubling you? Take the thing that has no basis. The thing should either backfire or it should die. Whichever way, it just cannot continue. It cannot continue because there is already a deliverance. There is already. Jericho and all the mighty men, all the mighty men with which that thing is fighting you, they have been delivered to you. All the mighty men. Yes, Jericho and the king enti o n’dari Jericho ati awon omo ogun e, l’apapo lo ti f’ile e lowo. [Background Music] Maybe the instrument of the enemy has been fear. Maybe the instrument has been doubt. Maybe the instrument has been worry. Maybe the instrument has been failure. Eh, wo! wo! wo! Ati fe ri si. I don't know what that instrument is, but the Lord is saying, see, see, see, I am already. I have already. Jesus has died already and he has resurrected. Lord, Emmanuel, God with us, close to us, Emmanuel, Emmanuel, oh God with us, oh close to us, Emmanuel, Emmanuel, God. Brother, Brother, I will see. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Look as the Lord is raising matters in your heart. Don't spare anyone. Look, don't spare anything. Today, something must happen. Today, look, don't spare. As the Lord is causing you to see, say today you can't... it's not possible. To ba ku, ko tu ka, to ba tu ka, ko pada si ibi to ti n’bo, to ba pada ko daru, to ba daru ko ja daru, n’kan. But today you must address. Today you must stand. Don't spare any matter. As the Lord is pointing, maybe the Lord is already pointing something to you. Maybe the Lord is already pointing a matter. Don't think twice. Put them together and say you have been delivered into my hand. You have been delivered. The king, the wall, the mighty men, oh gbogbo t’o n’fe b’ija, oh t’o n’fe d’aye r’e r’e. Everything together has been delivered. Go ahead. Talk to the Lord. Brother pray. Sister pray. Pray and say no. Today, today, today. I stand in that which Jesus has done. Scriptures cannot be broken. Scriptures cannot be broken. Scriptures cannot be broken. Scriptures cannot be broken. Scriptures cannot be broken. The power of God is here. Don't say in your heart, who will go to heaven to bring Christ down? Don't say in your heart, who will go and raise him up from the dead? The power is already here. The power is in your mouth. The power is in your heart. If you will believe, and you will confess, the power is here. Don't say we will go up to bring him down. Don't say we will go and lift him up from the dead. He says, "But this is what he says: The Word, it's in your heart. It's in your heart. Don't doubt it, it's in your heart. Don't doubt it, it's in your heart." He says if you will, if you will, if you will believe in your heart, and you will confess with your mouth. If you will believe in your heart, and you will confess with your mouth, and you will stand on that thing, and you will stay there, all you will be saved. In the name of Jesus.
