[Intro music and singing]
True peace and fellowship cannot be more spiritual than the individuals and families that constitute them. God greatly desires a godly home. These are words of restoration and instruction in righteousness from Family Take Ministry. May ye be blessed as you listen.
[Speaker 1]
Looking at who will believe our report. That's the matter. We started with the ministry of justification as against the ministry of condemnation. From there we journeyed to Isaiah to see the matter, who will believe our report. And the matter of that question is what we have been addressing. We wanted to look at Isaiah, and we have been addressing this matter of who will believe our report, that opening question that heaven raised.
In a bid to emphasize that opening question, we saw the Lord again took us to Joshua, to further look at the matter of believing the report of God. And last week, it was a time to take time to see that we must see. God wanted Joshua to see, and that becomes the basis of our prayer.
Today we want to move on and we will read 1 Peter 1:23. We are still looking at this matter of the divine question that heaven raised. You see, the burden that has been coming to me since we started this matter of the ministry of life, the ministry of justification versus the ministry of condemnation, and the Lord was trying to make us see the matter of our justification in Isaiah 53. Sincerely, I keep seeing the Lord saying that if only that verse one can become a reality. If you see the subsequent things they are real, but if we don't enter that verse one of being among those that God can say, "This person actually believed my report," and so the arm of the Lord can be revealed to you, the subsequent thing in that Isaiah will not become a living reality.
God wanted to emphasize the matter in my heart as I was spending time in His presence praying. The Lord raised a matter as a furtherance to who will believe our report, and that is why I am taking you to Peter, 1 Peter chapter 1. It's a very familiar scripture, but it came in a very complete new light of what we have been studying, in line with what we have been studying. We want to try as much as possible for the verse 23.
Please, if you want to read, you tell us the version you want to read, and then you will read that version for us. So, who is reading for us? 1 Peter 1:23. KJV? What does it say?
[Voice 1]
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
[Speaker 1]
That's King James rendered it. Yes, another translation.
[Voice 2]
ASB, that is American Standard Bible. Okay. "Having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth."
[Speaker 1]
That's ASB. Yes, The Message.
[Voice 3]
"Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm. It was just the sperm of a man that fertilized the egg of somebody else. Yes. Your new birth comes from God’s living word." It means He is saying there that the word is like a sperm. Are you understanding it? Just like that natural sperm produced a life, God's word is like a living sperm too that can produce a spiritual life. Are you getting the rendering? "Just think, a life formed by God's self."
[Speaker 1]
Please start again. "Just think." Okay, "you just think." Do you know what he's trying to say? What he's trying to say is that in the natural life, a man sleeps with a woman and then a child is born. He is saying that what actually happened to us was that there was an intercourse between the Spirit of God and our spirit. He says, "Just think." What actually happened to you that made you a new generation was that there was an intercourse between your spirit and God's Spirit, and then you came alive and you became a new person. It was not something natural. That's what he's saying. "Just think." God's very life. Any other translation again?
[Voice 4]
NLT. "For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God."
[Speaker 1]
Any other translation?
[Voice 5]
NIV. "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."
[Speaker 1]
Yes, Amplified.
[Voice 6]
"You have been regenerated, born again, not from a mortal origin (seed or sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever-living and lasting word of God."
[Speaker 1]
The ever-living and lasting word of God. You will be wondering what relationship between this matter and the matter that we have been raising in who will believe our report. Don't forget that the matter we have been pursuing all these past four weeks is the matter of the ministry of justification is far more glorious than the ministry of condemnation. What was offered us in Christ, it is too distant from what the law offered us.
In another way, if ordinary Adam that was made from dust with the breath of God—the summary of his life is just God's breath—if he did something and that thing he did is having a consequence that is lasting till today and will last forever. Do you understand it? If anybody, for any reason, somebody don't get born again and he dies, he will be judged for that same consequence of Adam's sin. I don't know whether you understand it. If ordinary Adam, mere sand, that God just blew on, did something and then God pronounced something, that "in dying, you will die," and lately he died like this, every human being, even though they were not there, they were eternally there, they died with him.
How much more when God now come down from heaven? God came down from heaven. He now put on a prepared body because we understand from Timothy, it said, "God was manifested in the flesh." Is that not? So, God came down and God went through certain things, experiences, and then eventually He died and resurrected.
Now, if what ordinary sand can cause eternal consequence, that you don't need to—look at how—look at the wickedness and the sinfulness of human beings today. That it has to take God coming to die to revert that thing. Then what can revert what God did when He Himself died to revert it? If this one could be so strong that no power in the universe could revert it. Nothing can revert it. If any man is not born again, in dying, the person will die, even if he's a good moralist and he does not commit any sin like Cornelius. You know Cornelius is on prayer, his alms became a memorial to God. But God had mercy on him; He still had to send them to preach Jesus to him. Which means he's still a candidate of hell. Even if the man is a good moralist and he died that way, he can still not revert what Adam did.
Now, what do you think about God now came down and He died? He now set some things in place. What do you think about those things? Will it not be much more? What God wants to do is that God died. Adam died, look at the consequence. God now died, He poured His blood, what is the consequence? It will be greater. It will be much more effective than whatever because it was done directly to revert that one.
I'm trying to challenge you with this matter that the Lord began to call my attention to just in the course of the week as a direction for today, the direction we are going today. And the Lord was saying that, "See." And that's why all these versions I've read them, but I just wanted you to see them. When NLT, when The Message say, "Just think," I'm trying to make you think. Just imagine, just think, just think. That Adam, you have not been born. You were not there when Adam sinned. Yet, Adam died and regardless of when you will be born in time, you are dead.
What do you now think? That now you are alive, then God came and have intercourse with your spirit and make you a new person. What do you think would have happened to you? It's more than what God said, that in Adam all have sinned and it have effect on you. But this one is not only word that God spoke. God came down because we are renewed by the working of the Holy Spirit. I hope you know. It is He that convinced us of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. So, now God came down, the Spirit. He now had a fellowship with your spirit. He have an intercourse with your spirit, and you became a new person. What do you think would have happened to you? What do you think happened to you?
What would have happened to your existence, to your eternity? What do you think would have happened to you eternally? You know when the Lord was dealing this matter with me, it became a matter that caused me really praying. That caused me really, really, really, really praying and talking to the Lord and asking the Lord that, "God, help me to understand this thing better. Help me to know what is really going on." It's like we don't understand what happened in salvation. It's like we don't understand.
Then after what NLT say, "Just think." I'm emphasizing the "Just think." Just imagine, just think, just think. That what I am suffering, what brought me to this point, what brought humanity to this point is something that was done by somebody in which God just made a pronouncement, "If you don't repent, you will be dead." But at a point after you have been born, God now came and have an intercourse with your spirit and say you are a new person. And God was setting that thing against the effect of what Adam did.
Why we are still looking at that 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 23, it says being born again. Now, being born again not of incorruptible seed, but of the incorruptible. By what were we born again? It says being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which does what? It endures forever and it liveth forever. It endures forever, it liveth forever.
The Bible say the seed, that word, this word of God. Please don't forget the matter we are treating. We are treating the fact that the ministry of justification is higher and glorious than the ministry of condemnation. And that the ministry of condemnation is based on this scripture, it begins with "who will believe our report." When Jesus was to start it, what did He say? "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son." That what? "Whosoever believe." And opening Isaiah, it began with what? "Who will believe our report." Now, He says we are born again not of corruptible seed. That this seed that God got us born again is not corruptible. Are you following something? That seed, it cannot be corrupted. The word of God, the report that we are asking you to believe, is a report that is incorruptible. It is a report that is invincible. It cannot be destroyed.
The report, you see, when Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his son," that giving of His son and everything that goes with that giving, that's the matter we want to consider in Isaiah that we have not entered into. But everything that goes into that giving, I want to announce to you that it cannot be corrupted. It is incorruptible. Everything that goes into our salvation, the whole package of salvation, is incorruptible. It cannot be destroyed. It cannot be overcome. It cannot be defeated. It cannot be broken. It cannot be altered. It cannot be changed. It does not pay tribute to time. It is the same for every generation.
Sin remains the same for all generation. It is with the same efficacy that it had in the first generation, that it had in the second one, in the third one, in the fifth one. It will have it like that eternally. The efficacy of our salvation, the whole thing that was packaged into it. You see, it got a point because I was running out of word, I had to—I recorded that devotion because I still want to listen to myself again. I hear the Lord saying, "Son, what we are talking about you don't understand." You don't understand something. And the way to help you to understand it is to use sin to help you to understand it.
Look at the philosophy. Look at the terrible things, look at everything going on in life today. Please, has it changed anything about sin? Has anything about sin, the consequence of Adam death, has anything changed about it? What have been able to alter it? Whether among the educated, the uneducated, the civilized, the non-civilized, those in the developing, the developed, the under-developing, and the non-develop, please, in which of them has the power and the effect of sin changed? In which generation have you seen a man that have not died? Even Jesus could only free us by death because the effect of Adam sin cannot be corrupted.
When God said the wages of sin is death, God Himself died because it cannot be corrupted. Jesus said, "If it were possible," God said, "it is not possible. The wages of sin is death." And so when God want to pay the—when God want to save man, that word even God was subject to it. He could not corrupt it. He could not alter it. Now, the word that saves you, the word that redeem you, we are saying the ministry of justification is stronger than what Adam did. What can corrupt the package of salvation?
If condemnation cannot be corrupted, God said something because condemnation was made possible by the same word of God. It was that same seed that God removed. God removed the seed, said "in dying, you will die." God removed the seed and He removed it by a pronouncement. He said.
Now, when God is offering salvation, what did God do again? He also said. And the first thing that God said about salvation, let's take it from the mouth of Jesus, He said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his son." And the matter we are checking in Isaiah, in opening the records that Jesus came to fulfill because we know that Jesus only fulfill the prophetic. He fulfill what was said by the prophet. In opening this matter about Jesus Christ, the first thing that God said is "who will believe." Who will believe that by this thing I want to say, this same thing I want to say, I want to say some things again. He said. If you are having problem believing what He said about salvation, God is saying, "Son, look at what I said about sin."
If you are having problem believing that by His stripes you are healed, if you are having problem believing it, try to check when He said, "In dying you will die." Tell me what have corrupt it. Even as they are flying today, later they are dying. Tell me which person with all the powers that he have accumulated from Satan that have not died. Tell me one power under the heavens that have corrupted that pronouncement when He said, "In dying you will die." So, do you see that the word of God is incorruptible? It cannot be corrupted. It can never be corrupted.
The Lord said, "Son, you don't understand," because I was trying to grasp it. I was struggling with, "Look, you have been born again not by corruptible seed, but by incorruptible seed that endures and abide forever." It means that it cannot be altered. It cannot be changed. It cannot be defeated. It cannot be challenged. It cannot be overcome. It is invincible. It is unmovable. It is unshakeable. It is enduring. It is eternal. It is everlasting. For all generation it cannot be altered. And so, when you are looking at the package that got you born again and you are afraid that it can be corrupted, you are afraid that look—you are wondering when He says, "Look, I have bore your grief and I have taken away your sorrow." If you think it can be corrupted, it's because you don't understand sin.
It was directed to handle the sin. What brought sorrow? What brought grief? What brought the things that make us sick? What brought the things that took our peace away? What brought the things that brought our afflictions? What took abundance away from us? What took it away? Is it not sin? And how was sin effected? God said, "In dying you will die." It was by the word. And if God says again, "I am effecting something else" by this same word, why is it a difficult thing to understand? That it's the same person who effected the first one that effected this one. And effecting this one is trying to make you see is that where sin abound, He said grace much more, the more, abounds. To what extent can this new law break the old one? What effected the first one? When God want to effect the first one, the level at which He effected it, God said the level at which I effect that is smaller, and yet it cannot be corrupted.
It's like I want to make medicine for a person. I did the first one, I finish preparing it. "Look, take this thing. Make sure you don't drink it. The thing that put this concoction in place, once you drink it, nobody—you will die and everybody after you in your generation, they will be dying, dying, dying at the age at which you die. Be careful, don't let it touch your mouth." You mistakenly went and it touch your mouth. You now come back to me, "Ah, so I will die now?" Say, "Yes, of course. And that age at which you die, all your generation will be dying at that age." And lately again, in my mercy, I say, "Don't worry. I have a solution. I'm going to prepare something more powerful. What I will use to prepare this one will be three times stronger than this one. If you drink this one, this other one I want to give you now, it will counter this one."
Please, if we take an assumption that the man actually drank this and the man died and all generation were dying at that age, at that age, at that age, with all the power they have they were dying at that age. Then if somewhere down the generation of that man, this same person that effected this one now come unto God and say, "Look, I have a course of this one. I want to give you something stronger than this one." Please, is it difficult to believe the new concoction? And could it be possible that this person will have something that can actually deal with this one? Because he believes.
So, that is why Isaiah opened with, "Who will believe my report." Can you believe this report I want to give you? Can you just think? Can you just think? Can you just think that look, the first generation, the first Adam, was made a living soul. But the second one is a quickening spirit, a life-giving spirit. If the first one is made from perishable thing, He says, "Just you are dust, just you will return." The second one is the living God coming down from heaven.
If we could believe that we die indeed by sin, what is the struggle we have believing the second Adam? The offer that God gives in Christ cannot be corrupted. Nothing can break it. because the first concoction, nothing had been able to break it. The way the thing is so strong, even the person who prepared this, he to go to that junction. He also died at that age because Christ died before He could prepare the second concoction. He could not reverse the first concoction that was made by this same word of God. And so the Lord said you are born again. The thing that set you free, the thing that determines your liberty, the thing that says "it is over," the thing that said "it is finished," the thing that said "go in this liberty," what says it cannot—it is not breakable. Nothing can break it. because in the whole universe no power had been able to break even the small one.
No power had been able to handle the first concoction. No power. And even the power that be that is making this concoction could not break it. So, what now want to break it? The Lord told us two weeks ago, said, "Look, I have given you the land. Begin to engage them in battle." and the battle have started. We are engaging everything that is inside of our inheritance. We are engaging them in battle. Some of us are held by some sinful habits, by some oppression, there are different things holding us. Some infirmities, some diseases, all kinds of things we must be free.
Now, listen to what I want to pray. He said, "I shall tread over scorpion and over serpent," He said, "and nothing shall by any means hurt me." Because He rose up for my justification. This day, you take steps, and begin to tread over scorpions. I begin to march them down, and nothing will by any means hurt me. I want you to pray this prayer. Every oppression that hold me back, every working—look, the Bible say there is no enchantment against Jacob, and there is no divination against Israel. Every divination, every pronouncement, every thing, every spell, every conspiracy of darkness, today go by fire.
[Speaking in tongues and congregational shouting]
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. He died for our trespasses and He rose for our justification. He rose! He has risen! Nothing could hold Him! Nothing can hold me! Nothing can stop me! Nothing can hold me! Nothing can hold me! In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Can we share the grace? The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forever more. Amen. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.
